Only to the retarded fanboys making it out to be the second coming of christ
Just don't hype yourself up to it. Almost every time someone gets over hyped on a game they will get disappointed. I'm not saying to lower your standards, but maybe it will be somewhat fun
It will only disappoint you as much as you let it.
Since most of Sup Forums already agrees it's going to be shit, you have nothing to worry about.
Except people that have played the demo say its pretty good and the game seems to be kind of sandboxy.
>being so affraid that you started the smear campaign a year before release
>for free
>sandboxy
Nintendo don't have a single creative ounce in their bodies. And to think people actually credit them for "inventing" platformers or "inventing" metroidvania style gameplay.
What is Montezuma's Revenge, H.E.R.O., Pitfall II, etc.?
>Don't raise your expectations/hype a game up unless it's out and you have played/demoed it
>Don't lower your expectations/detract from a game unless it is out and you have either played/demoed it
This is not a hard concept to grasp, you fucking children.
>being so optimistic that you don't
>despite the last console Zelda being utter shit or the fact that the series has been undergoing a steady decline within the last 10 or so years.
>"we're deciding to not give it an overworld theme"
>Huge world of open nothingness
>Crafting
Disappointment, more like Blunder before arrival.
This game looks like such dogshit. There's absolutely nothing new in it whatsoever. If I want to play the original Zelda, I will just turn on my NES and PLAY the original Zelda.
Pic-elated is why we're not getting Bayo 3.
Nintendo is cancer. Their games are cancer, their censorship is cancer, their policies are cancer, everything.
>Link is right handed
Zelda's mostly been a series of disappointments for over a decade, with ALBW being the one game in a very long time that was pretty fun, so I don't have high hopes for BotW, no.
>ALBW being the one game in a very long time that was pretty fun
Guess you have very low standards.
It can't possibly be worse than Wind Waker. Or Phantom Hourglass. Or Spirit Tracks. Or TriForce Heroes.
If you weren't a dumbass you'd know that lots of stuff was taken out of the overworld to keep the game from being spoiled
After almost ten years of shit, a decent game seems pretty good.
Do you believe everything you hear out of a company's mouth, goy?
Form your own opinion user once you play it.
Yup. At least I get to enjoy the Nintendrone tears when it ends up being another Skyward Sword disaster.
>Worse than Wind Waker
Haha, good one.
>What is Montezuma's Revenge, H.E.R.O., Pitfall II, etc.?
Shut the fuck up.
>lumping 3 objectively shit games with Wind Waker
Toon Link was mistake
yeah, remember when bayo 1 came out and sold far more on two consoles with 10 times the userbase?
retard
Take out the "comfy aesthetics" and unique story and it's a shit game though. He's right
>shit difficulty
>horrible pacing
>triforce shards
>easy bosses
>sailing gets redundant
>lack of unique dungeons
>retracking content
It was bad.
what about sailing gets redundant?
Zelda was never even a good series. It's been surpassed countless times already.
No shit, it's a poor man's Skyrim living solely off the fact Nintendo knows their fans are idiots and will eat up anything if you put "Zelda" on it.
>pessimism
shit meme. Game looks great
>Nintendo don't have a single creative ounce in their bodies.
Nothing to do with what I said. Why are you salty?
Oh, we're supposed to ignore the true creators of the industry, huh, Nintendo fanboy? We're supposed to shut up and act like Nintendo invented genre's and make the best games? Please, you're on a board for enthusiasts. This isn't reddit. Many people here know Nintendo created nothing but shit. There have been a million platformers, metroidvania-style games, 3d flight games, arcade racers, tactical rpg's, etc. that came before and after whatever Nintendo shitted out. Nintendo only has surface-level bullshit in their pantheon that appeals to normalshits such as yourself that wouldn't even know how to operate an Atari XE or Commodore 64.
Does anyone actually -hate- Skyward Sword? I understand not liking it as much as the other games, but it's far and away from what I'd call 'bad'. Hell, I don't think there's a single 'bad' Zelda game, aside from maybe Phantom Hourglass
>Recycle ideas that have already been beaten to death
>Somehow it's "new" and "innovative"
If it wasn't a Zelda game not a single person would bat an eye.
TL;DR I don't expect anything because I've seen it before.
Video games have been beaten to death, yet here we are.
I can understand people's frustrations with SS but I can't see how
someone can say it's a bad game. Although it's certainly weaker for
an entry in the Zelda series.
I think Hourglass is alright for a first entry on the DS and I really didn't
mind the Ocean King's temple or whatever. But the fact you had to traverse
the same path over and over got tedious toward the end.
Are Zeldafags worse than Sonicfags in terms of hating their own "favorite" franchise?
saw the videos and the environements looked boring, mundane and boring as fuck
this is only made worse by me playing Blood and Wine on the highest settings and the world is so beautiful and detailed that evey frame looks like a painting
This is an interesting new game that's never quite been done before, a hacking simulator adventure game
store.steampowered.com
Why can't Nintendo make anything new?
the only thing that annoyed the fuck out of me was when you had to thrust straight forward with the sword since my wii remote never picked that up properly
mainly for that spider boss in the sand area
>Why can't Nintendo make anything new?
How many games are out there that play quite like Splatoon? or Kirby's Rainbow Curse?
>store.steampowered.com
That looks boring as fuck tbqh.
>evey frame looks like a painting
Painting made of shit maybe.
> Blood and Wine
are you even trying?
>graphics in DLC somehow differ from the main game
Witcher fanboys sure are delusional.
There were a few text based games like that back in the day.
so you haven't seen it and have no clue what you're talking about
we're done here
I'm looking forward to it with optimism.
At the end of the day both of those are a casual tps and platformer with the the only "innovation" being a control mechanic. Actually come up with something new. We've seen third person shooters before. Changing the aesthetic isn't anything special and neither is slapping on a gyro gimmick. Both games are also incredibly easy and casual. Neither value your intelligence as a player. Just look at those games' tutorials. They treat you like a baby.
Wow, the rare proto-hipster. Just enjoy what you enjoy and shut the fuck up. Nintendo created the MODERN games industry--all that other stuff is ancient trash.
I've seen enough to understand that it literally looks like an early ps3 game.
You're not showing any evidence. We're talking about a 3d adventure hacker puzzle game where you write code. Real code. Yet all Nintendo can shit out is generic open world platformer or action game where you jump on things or slash things with a sword. They possess no tact or ingenuity.
PC release when bros?
Fuck off.
Rude
You guys have already decided you're going to hate it just for the sake of being contrarians. Just like with GTAV and MGSV. It's painfully obvious you go through mental gymnastics just to hate on popular games with a wide appeal.
>Nintendo created the MODERN games industry
Holy shit, how old are you? You have to back wherever you came from. Nintendo didn't create anything. They certainly didn't create anything new. Why are we supposed to sit idly and act as though they invented video games are made every single noteworthy one? Perhaps if you only got your knowledge from cancerous gaming journos that would be the case, but once again, you are on a board for enthusiasts. And Nintendo have always been outclassed by everyone around them. Midway, Atari, Epyx, LucasArts, Interplay, Micropose, etc.
>you are on a board for enthusiasts
I think it's time for you to fuck off to your containment hipster shithole, buddy.
oh fuck, that's what the no man's sky devs kept saying
they released famicom at a time when coleco and atari and everyone else were going under and everyone thought console gaming was dead... they definitely revitalized the industry and changed the market tremendously.
>oh fuck, that's what the no man's sky devs kept saying
Well shit.
I can see it happening, Aonuma has lied numerous times before.
>Aonuma has lied numerous times before
When?
>"we're deciding to not give it an overworld theme"
>Literally said in the Gameplay at E3, by Aonuma himself
Sorry, but my hype is at zero.
Congratulations, would you like a cookie?
Your hype is at zero because of the music? Are you autistic?
Hell yeah. It'll be thousand times more satisfying than anything BotW will have to offer.
It's so fucking obvious that Nintendo is cheap to the point where they aren't even willing to spend money on multiple overworld themes.
> Let's talk nonsense about some game isn't even released.
> Stay classic Sup Forums
this. You're all a buncha fags
>and everyone thought console gaming was dead
Rightfully so. This is a pc-centric board. The best games of the 80's were released for the apple ii, commodore, atari 8 bit, arcades, zx spectrum, etc.
You couldn't get art like this on a meager console chuck filled with mediocre b-tier sidescrollers.
Music is the penultimate thing that interests me in a game.
I played through MGSV and it was pure deadness from the lack of enticing memorable music
I played through the Souls games and it always ended up with me putting something over it and I slowly got less and less interested for each release.
I'm currently ultra hype for Shantae SOLELY because of Jake Kaufman.
Zelda music is the biggest draw for me next to the feeling of exploring a familiar and interesting world, and seeing theres a lack of a defining overworld theme, then I'm easily dehype.
Okay hotshot, you'll have to go fetch it from this pit of You-eating alligators
>after years of fan begging and anticipation, fatal frame finally gets eu/na release
>sells 0,1 mill copies
Let's also not forgot Nintendo, since the beginning, has pioneered the battle against video games by introducing story and completion instead of infinite arcade repetition until death. Sega, Taito, Midway, Atari, and SNK were the few ones to fight against Nintendo's tyranny, but as you know, in the end, they failed.
they literally made Elder Scrolls Hyrule
and the NX version will be portable
its going to change the world
>Music is the penultimate thing that interests me in a game.
What the fuck is wrong with you? Why do you even play games? Just listen to music separately or something, weirdo.
I love how you don't include Splatoon, and only pick Mario games.
Cherrypicking is surely a drug, and so is shitposting.
Non that user but when it comes to nostalgia, music is often the first aspect that people remember fondly. This has been statistically proven as well. Atmosphere (which music already influences) and plot/characters come next.
So while it isn't the most important aspect of a game, its value is severely underrated.
Actual Zeldafags like almost all of the games (SS, Zelda 2, and PH are the most often hated) but anyone who's played a few games in the series is instantly at the throats of the ones that aren't their favorite.
Splatoon is also in the boat with Mario bullshit. It's casual and stripped of any complexity. Nintoddlers can't into complexity or challenge so when games that feature such come to their platform such as Xenoblade X, Bayo 2, and Wonderful 101, they flounder barely selling at all.
>Why do you even play games? Just listen to music separately or something, weirdo.
I do. I just like when the game has it's own original soundtrack that heightens the experience and becomes memorable.
The only reason I remember the Underground Sunken King section of DS2 is because I played Lords of Vermillion II's OST over it. Other than that the whole place is a blur.
Music MAKES the package. If the game lacks enticing music, especially Overworld music in a series that has AWESOME OVERWORLD music. And they're BASING the new game around the OVERWORLD, you'd... EXPECT there to be awesome overworld music, maybe dynamic or something. But theres nothing.
And I'm not ready for MGSV all over again with a Zelda skin.
I don't get it, everyone was absolutely right in that thread.
>complexity or challenge
>Xenoblade X, Bayo 2, and Wonderful 101
You've gotta be kidding me.
Well they're right. If Splatoon's so popular, how come there's no thread up about it?
The game was ditched nearly a year ago.
Name one fucking game with half the shit this has in it.
And I don't mean janky incoherent eurotrash like RUST.
You're not really disproving me nor giving a counterargument as to why Splatoon, a dumbed down paintball game that uses at max about 3 buttons on the controller, is more difficult or complex than Xenoblade X. Sports games are more complex than Splatoon
The funny thing is Bloodborne and Witcher 3, predominantly single player games, are talked about more than Splatoon. I bet there are threads up right now about those games while there are none for Splatoon.
>Games with strong brand recognition sell more than games with little brand recognition
Oh for fuck's sake
>He doesn't know what Bayonetta, Xenogears, and Fatal Frame are
You have to go back.
This guy gets it
jesus, this guy is at the next level, beyond sony fans shit-posting level, beyond 9 year old screaming like little girls PC master race on FPS's games.
This is the first hyper hipster that comes out of the call of duty generation.
HE IS DEFENDING ATARI GAMES FOR GOD SAKE as if they had ANY STANDARDS.
And yet only the causal audience really enjoys EA Sports games. Where's the NBA tourneys or the Madden tourneys?
>Twilight Princess was so-so
>I enjoyed Skyward Sword
Things could be okay.
I don't know. I just know NBA 2K13 is a far deeper and more complex game than fucking Splatoon. For crying out loud, it's a basketball sim. Splatoon is barely a competent third person shooter. If I want a third person shooter, I'll play Tac/Scan or Silpheed.
I thought it looked like shit so I can only be neutral or suprised.
only if you keep hyping it up so that it could never actually reach your impossible expectations you massive sperglord
>Fatal frame is a good game.
>The funny thing is Bloodborne and Witcher 3, predominantly single player games, are talked about more than Splatoon.
Literally barely anybody talks about any of them anymore
It is. It's certainly more unique than generic copypaste mario shit and a no-effort mini game compilation. It's also more challenging and complex than either.
