Nothing. Telltale games are utter garbage
>anonymous will remember this
Nothing, meme spinoffs for people who actually gave a shit about story and didn't just like shooting shit with different weapons.
Do I have to have played/liked borderlands 2 in order to understand this game?
The fact that it somehow manages to be closer to Borderlands 1 in terms of atmosphere compared to Memelands 2 and the Pre-Memequel.
Not entirely sure how they pulled that off. Perhaps whoever was in charge at Telltale actually played Borderlands 1 instead of reading a wiki about it.
Good soundtrack, wasn't as memey as BL2+PreSQ, had the ultimate qt in Sasha
>tfw unlikely we'll get a S2
Anthony Burch only wrote a couple of scenes
The parts he wrote are so obvious too. It's great.
And its PAINFULLY obvious which scenes he wrote.
>different weapons
Although, that was one of the biggest issues with BL2. There was only a handful of guns worth using. Especially if you played Melee Zer0.
Are we talking about that "bro, bro, bro, bro, bro" part? I wanted to die while witnessing that
Nah. Being familiar with what happened to Handsome Jack is nice but I think it works well enough as a bonus mystery that gets alluded to occasionally for new players.
Is there a more perfect example of a game nobody expected being good, turning out to be great?
Deux Ex HR comes to mind.
Thats one of them. Another is when "Vasquez" returns to Helios and the guards confront him about being a misogynist.
I honestly don't know. Borderlands is known for its shitty plot and characters so why is a narrative focused game set in the Borderlands universe actually good?
Loaderbot can fuck right off tho.
The opening song credits of each episode and the finger gun shoot out was fantastic.
The rest was usual enjoyable and it was nice to see your ending choices "affect" the final showdown.
First 3 episodes were best. That's when they were concentrating on comedy and not feels-bait.
>No anons will remember this
I thought the shootout was kinda stupid but I was honestly impressed with all the foreshadowing for what initially feels like such an out of nowhere scene.
Credits were amazing though, after episode 2 the thing I looked forward to the most in a new episode was the opening credits, and they didn't disappoint.
They didn't put as many memes as everyone though
too bad it's still a fucking telltale game so get ready for unfailable QTEs and choices that don't matter
If there's 1 thing Borderlands has done well, regardless of the rest of the games, its always been opening credits.
Fuck whoever made Claptrap the secret vault hunter you can choose to bring for the end, and double fuck whoever made it so you can go through like 15 minutes more of gameplay ("gameplay") between making the choice, and having him revealed.
Handsome Jack is an unironically fantastic character
>What went right?
DAT fucking soundtrack.

More Handsome Jack
Main characters were different and interesting.
BOSSANOVA
Hunter S. Thompson based character cameo.
YTMND bash.

Worth a single play through.
>the finger gun shoot out was fantastic
Yep, it's been a while since I've enjoyed anything in a game that much
Because the voice actor for Handsome Jack doesn't actually read much of the script and improvises a lot of his lines.
>I wanted to die while witnessing that
In all honesty I love that scene.
It was okay.
Dunno why people say it is the best TT
Well that explains a lot about why the far and away best part of the writing in 2 in Handsome Jack.
I just want yo to know you aren't alone in that. It was cheesy as fuck but I'm a sucker for bromance.
>Bossanova
Honestly if the arena bit at the end of episode 1 hadn't happened I dunno if I would have kept playing the rest.
I liked it up until it went full
>bro bro bro brobro bro brobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobrobborborobrbo
Then I wanted to turn the game off.
meant for
"Everyone thinks they´re the hero of their own story."
Handsome Jack is quite possibly the best character in all of vidya.
>cant side with jack and make my own robot army
Seriously? That was like the only reason I wanted to replay it, to make Rhys a power hungry corporate maniac who teams up with Jack in the end.
yea, you just are like "yea ill work with you, oh wait im going to be a robot oh jeeze im out"
Swear to christ Alpha Protocol did choices better than Telltale and that was an actual game on top of it.
Anthony Burch didn't do the writing
every telltale game is shit, infact, no game that i have played (excluding starwars games because they have the whole "you can be bad" thing) has no real choice that matters
>yfw "catch a riiiiiiiiiiiiide!"
>no game that i have played has no real choice that matters
play fallout 1 or 2
i was also going to say new vegas, but i haven't played that one yet
tfw got a text during the option to fire the canister with his advertisement on and ended up missing the choice
