Arkham City to be honest family

Why is no one talking about the new telltale batman?
The first episode is out but nobody gives a shit.
Also BatFleck sucks

Because it's uninteresting so far. Episode 1 is just the setup to episode 2, and outside of quicktime event prompts being creatively placed in the environment instead of being a 2D prompt in front of everything, nothing that it does is really interesting.

Best Batman game is probably Arkham City. I really like Asylum as well, but the bosses suck so much more.
I never played Knight since the PC ports sucked dick. I'll get back to you in like 10 years on whether or not Knight is good. Hopefully the emulators are up by then.

What about Origins? I thought it was good, and i was surprised by Baker's Joker

I fucking burst out laughing when I saw the arkham origins like detective part in epiosde 1

City. Except for the glitches that pop up on occasion. Also fuck the Catwoman sections, did anyone playtest that shit? There are times where her attack tracking just gives up and I lose the combo I had going because she swipes at fucking air.

NES Batman is still the best.

Batfleck has the potential to be the best but his movies suck so far.

Suicide Squad was shit save for Margot Robbie.

...

Knight is a solid game, runs fine on pc now and is on sale.

I liked Origins quite a bit. I could've done with a little less of the detective scenes, but Origins was a very competent game that got unjustly shit on because it carried the Arkham name. Overall, I think that City was the better game, though. I'd rank the Arkham games thusly:
>Asylum: 7/10
>City: 8/10
>Origins: 7/10
>Knight: lolnope
I never finished it (I got to the end just before the Bane fight I think) because my hard drive shit the bed one day and I had to get a new one. I might give it another play this December.

none, batman is a shit character

...

>not bam ham city
eat ma period

asylum

AS>AO>AK>AC

This to be QUITE honest famine

Asylum is the most perfect Batman game, City is way too big and is padded the hell out with Riddler trophies, nothing felt bloated in Asylum. It's tight, diverse environments and the only bad thing is the final boss which is pretty fucking awful

I thought Arkham Knight was the best

Asylum is amazing for its self contained feel, and for its innovation at the time. Final boss is one of the worst things in gaming though.

City is probably the best. The City itself isn't amazingly well designed but the feel of navigating it as Batman is sensational, and the story is the strongest of the trilogy.

Origins is a cash grab and it doesn't need to be played. Its only use was to fill spacw waiting for Knight to come out. Some decent moments, but skip it.

Knight gets a lot of flak for nothing, it's just as good as the other two. And while sometimes the Bat Mobile is tetious, it's a ton of fun when it hits its stride. Also the story, while predictable, was satisfying.

City is better because of the bosses and a good TAS feel

I don't know shit about the Batman universe, how do the games rank in terms of quality?

>Not liking the riddler challenges
>Not enjoying gliding around a City like a boss
Your opinion is shit.

Had a better story but overall was a recycled and glitchier City. It was just straight up lazy and because of it I have more respect for Arkham Knight, which while had many shortcomings, tried to at least be different and experiment.

>like a boss
What year is this?

Most Batman games are shit. Like, pure dreck.
There's diamonds in the rough, though. Generally, if a Batman game isn't dogshit, it's amazing. There's exceptions, of course.

Good Batman Games:
>Batman NES
>The Adventures of Batman and Robin
>Rise of Sun Tzu
>Lego Series (3 is a Justice League game though)
>Arkham series
>Telltale (1st episode isn't amazing, but that's how Telltale usually rolls)

riddler challenges in asylum were much more interesting than the rudimentary puzzles city had

Arkham knight

city and asylum

origins wasn't too bad, but it still fucking crashes for no reason and shock gloves makes the combat full retard assassins creed kill streak easy.

knight had really great stuff like awesome gliding and flying but muh tank mr wayne you need to use the tank waaaahh batman bring your tank to my racetracks or im gonna keep shit talking you

2016. It's hella sweet. If you were radical you'd know what's the word. Can you dig it hip cat?

Asylum was the best one other than Knight.

Batman Arkham Knight and every dlc for it.

The port is not that bad now, they never got SLI working though.

I disagree. It was a huge step up. Origins were pretty lame, but it was an early Riddler so that makes sense. Asylum was only good at the riddles. Everything else was low tier and rudimentary.

I liked City's Riddler's challenges but I hated how they basically just made him Saw.

With the exception of the the first "Man in a Cup" riddle they were all basically just maneuver over death traps. Not solving puzzles to escape death traps, but just graple hooking and shit.

You sure you aren't confusing City with Knight.

I was able to run it at 60 with no drops on a 970 so there's no real need for SLI desu senpai.

No because if City Riddler was into Saw then Knight Riddler was into Fast and the Furious.

I really enjoyed Asylum but never managed to like City. And I stopped caring so haven't tried the rest

>has a bomb strapped to catwomans neck
>constant death trap rooms

I think i'm done talking to you.

Why simply the best Batman game ever.

Not him but He did that first in City tho. When you find his hideout he has people that if they see you they will explode.

...

hard as shit
amazing music

never beat it

...

My fucking nigga

This game had such a rocking soundtrack too

I am 100% not interested in "ARE THE WAYNES EVIL?!" plot they're setting up, but hey. Once I managed to make the game stop running at 1 FPS it wasn't a bad experience, just kind of dull. Not a big fan of having Troy Baker and Laura Bailey as the leads again.

Also jesus Harvey is fucking huge. Is he a lawyer or a wrestler?

Also in City.
Knight had over the top death traps too but now it was also more vehicle focused.

>tfw AK is my favorite because I thought the Batmobile sections were perfect for what they were
Seriously, I don't mind them giving us too much Batmobile sections when we essentially got zero in the last 3 games.

Is the Arkham Trilogy modern AAA western game design at its best?

>accessible, but fun to master combat
>lots of gameplay variety (detective, predator, puzzles, batmobile)
>fleshed out setting and universe
>top notch presentation

Seriously, I'd buy whatever Rocksteady releases at this point.

>Penguin will never be this in the games
>he will always be le cockney manlet who gets dealt with instantly

>Gets a lot of flak for nothing

No. It gets flak for being a broken piece of shit. And people not playing the computer version just seem to say it's meh rather than give it flak. I can't forgive them for turning Black Mask into a bitch. I just wanted him to actually fucking DO something

Yes I agree it launched shitily, but I mean gameplay and story wise people hate on it. I think they don't disassociate those two things.

S-sauce?

this tbqh
the gameplay is best in series, the story is really great, and side missions are also best in series

it performs pretty poorly technically, but the game underneath it all is still very good, second best next to city - would be best had performance not been so botched, and if the reliance on the batmobile was less frequent.

People hate Origins the same reason why some people hate Saints Row 4. It's just the same old shit that lazy recycles content from it's predecessor and barely enough original content of its own to warrant its own game.

Story was good though, but get's flaked on because everyone was tired of Joker at that point.

Arkham Asylum is better than City for the same reason Portal is better than Portal 2. Both have overexpanded themselves in the sequels, both are still great games, but the more compact first games are just perfect little games.

Origins gets more crap than it deserves. It is a fine game, it had some really cool scenes. I enjoyed the Mr.Freeze DLC and the Deathstroke fight especially. I also loved the detective stuff, since... you know... world's greatest detective and all...

Knight is really good because of the way they use Hamill in it and the twists and turns the story takes. Would it have been better without the Batmobile and maybe making Arkham Knight someone cool (I for one for a while thought the Knight was only in the imagination of Batman, as sort of the opposite side of the Joker hallucination, but no).

TL/DR:
AA 9/10
AC 8/10
AO 7/10
AK 7,5/10

They are all well worth the money now.

I still haven't beat Knight. That fucking bat mobile shit was starting to get to me.

I got gud at the Battank and now I actually like it.

Arkham Asylum was a good game.

Arkham City was a GREAT game.

I played Vengeance as a kid, don't remember much of it but I guess it was fun.

Same, except those wrench parts. Mindless 2bh

is arkham knight fixed on pc yet?

I bought Arkham City in the sale 2 days ago and i've been having a blast.

>I for one for a while thought the Knight was only in the imagination of Batman
I assume for only the first ~30 minutes after the idea comes into the picture, otherwise it becomes almost excruciatingly obvious who he is. Doesn't help they also literally made no efforts to hide identities in the extras menu lmao

Based on steam discussion it's still pretty mixed. Works for some, apparently.

>Telltale

D R O P P E D.

No. Unless you have a top tier GPU, you're still gonna see dips, screentearing, and freezes.

What I thought because of all the drones and that Batman is alone with him in the beginning is that Batman is hallucinating Jason Todd due to guilt of getting him killed, but can't admit it to himself yet, so he is seeing him as the Knight. That wouldda been kinda cool since there already a dude in there that only batman could see, a second one would have been unexpected.

But I totally admit my theory fell apart relatively fast.

I really enjoyed Origins. It's not the most original, but it was fun.

The entire jason saga was just really too shallow to invest in. I was already bored of it as he first hits the screen. In stark contrast to just about everyone else in the game who is pretty much at their best.
The knight fight[ish] was also pretty dull imo

God, comics are so fucking retarded.

I only had FPS drops at the darkest parts with heavy rain falling. Too many reflections.

My favorite tho.

Don't bother, he's just a square.
