What does Sup Forums think of Might and Magic 6 The Mandate of Heaven?

World of Xeen is better

Why is there no scifi stuff in the Heroes series?
Why doesn't Ubisoft just give a decent budget to a developer?

fuck off maggot psh

>Why is there no scifi stuff in the Heroes series?
It serves as a curveball plot device in the RPGs, it's hard to fit that kind of thing in an equivalent of a board game. What sci-fi would you have in a Heroes game? Artifacts? Locations? An entire faction? How would it play without utterly dominating the rest of the lineup?

>Why doesn't Ubisoft just give a decent budget to a developer?
Because it's less of a money problem and more of a vision problem.

RPGkino

it was going to be a thing

There's lots of hidden sci-fi elements in the heroes series you only find out when playing the mainline series. Inferno are aliens for example.

Bis dann, Geizhals.

>Inferno are aliens for example.
Doesn't actually show in the game, your argument is invalid. Also,

It does though if you play the RPGs. They're still referred to as "devils" ingame until you get deeper into it. Your ignorance of the setting doesn't change anything.

Are you a fucking retard? Honest question. Read my posts again.

Does Might and Magic all share the same lore universe?

Calm down autismo. There is no argument and the devs have stated inferno are aliens in HoMM3 before and your headcanon doesn't change that. Tell me where the forge touched you because your random hostility seems to come from previous trama. If it triggers you so much, just play Heroes 5 where none of it matters.

Everything before the ubisoft acquisition shares the same lore. Might and Magic 6-8 are littered with HoMM references. If you're a big HoMM3 fan you should check out M&M7 at the very least.

I love the fact that this game wouldn't be possible to release in 2016 because no poc players and blacks are enemies and even worse a cannibals

So no matter what the game, there is a pantheon of elemental dragon gods?

7 was better

Look, bud, let me spell it out for you because you apparently can't understand plain English (which is not surprising given the series is only popular with polacks, russkie and chinese).

There's no mention of the sci-fi background in Heroes 3, anywhere, full stop. I know full well about it because I correctly placed its function in the RPG games. It doesn't matter what devs say outside of the game because they chose to do the game itself differently. You completely ignored any of the discussion topics possible about how sci-fi could work in Heroes and instead went off the handle about muh forge, so your comment about aggression is ironic, since it's not me who goes on about ignorance and autism. Now stop arguing with voices in your head and provide some meaningful discussion.

>RPG games
stopped reading there

k keep us informed

7 has inferrior graphics

and inferior dungeons

>Enroth is an open world
>Travel to next location took few days

Just fucking why?

>that jpg compression
Just fucking why?

The earlier games are more story light and focus on the ancients and guardians. MM8 has you dealing with elemental lords and things like that. 6-8 share the most similarity with Heroes and 7 ties into MM3.

those are some pretty bland "le fantasy" place names desu

It's great, isn't it? No made-up languages. No abstract concepts. It's a desert with dragons called Dragonsand. Plain and simple, and easy to understand. Just how we used to like it.

It's quite popular in asia.
Especially korea.

This. I hate when devs lost their shit with names like Jwuieuh'tjtkl

is it means that m&m is autistic?

The game intrigues me, looks real comfy.

But the combat system is total garbage.

Any advise on how to "get in" this game?

>that moment when you can recognize a poster just by his posting style and autism
Either there's a second cold war or it's you bitching about ruskies in every heroes III thread.

There's nothing to get. Early game is pretty meh with bow spam but its effectiveness drops off pretty quickly and you have to resort to spells and buffs for your party and positioning. It's basically doom with swords.

>Doom with swords

You mean hexen, right?

Perfect teams
3 Sorceres 1 Cleric
2 Sorceres 2 Cleric
4 Sorceres
Or Archer instead of one Sorcerer

Min minmax stats to max int and endurance/personality endurance for cleric
Rest points to accuracy luck always at minimum

Get learning skill and Bow skill as fast as possible
Get teacher and scholar as mercenary npcs

Water and air magic are the best, earth magic is the worst
Cleric must has spirit magic from start to have bless spell

sure but with RPG elements then you actually get laser guns and it becomes doom

It was great up till the point where the story takes a sharp turn and became about interdimensional space demons and using blasters to stop them

That's the best part.

Isn't that the very beginning?

From the first town you can pretty much pick up that there used to be advanced technology and a cataclysmic event occured by talking to NPCs.

How?

They just said the demons came from the sky. Nobody said anything about space age parallel worlds

No, I mean, even the opening cinematic talks about demons that came from space.

Is MM8 even good?

>They came from the depths of the void; an ancient enemy, of an ancient people. >No one knows why they hate us so, or why they have made war upon us. Some say the struggle against their evil is the Mandate of Heaven. Though their origins and purpose are shrouded in mystery, their plan is simple:

>They travel, they land, and then they Conquer

>Now, they are here on our world, to do to us what they have done to so many others. And they will do it… unless someone stops them.

It's a staple of the series

It's not bad, it's just unoriginal, short and very very easy.

Is she right Sup Forums?

...

My nigger.

cloudside was meh
darkside was sweet

Because it's supposed to simulate the map being the size of an actual continent.
