I feel sorry for the guys at CA, they want to make full games but the greed of Sega and GW force them to butcher or the cut corners of their creations. The war scape engine should have stopped being used after Napoleon, and it most certainly never should have been used for Rome 2 or anything after it. But becuase creating a new engine takes time and money, Sega is perfectly alright making due with an engine that was designed for 18th century ballistics warfare.

It's a good game and this is a good, though overpriced by 5 bongdollars, piece of DLC.

Nigga some modders made a better rendition of warhammer in medival 2. If you think any of the shit being pulled with the new total war war hammer game is alright, you need to get you head fucking check.

I wanted to like this game so bad. The Warhammer side of the game is awesome, the Total War side of the game however is bland as fuck.

And I cannot justify spending $20 on a new race that is basically Chaos-lite.

No Knightly orders, no archers, no free swordsmen, no mercenary companies.

Modding has gone too far.

What is Radious' deal? Why does the man so blatantly not give a shit whatsoever about balance or lore or historical accuracy but his unit mods are consistently one off the most popular out there

It's a big mod so it must be good.

Are you just going to ignore the terrible balancing in the mod, where there's archers with more range than siege units, certain races just crash half the time you try to run them, it's poorly animated, suffers from all the flaws of Medieval 2 plus more. I enjoyed those mods, but you need to take off the rose tinted glasses, they were really heavily flawed and this new one is much better.

Also, the whole "battles are fun and weighty" thing is bullshit, have you not played med 2 recently? Charges are shit, generals take fucking forever to die (even just normal ones), units can tank 4 volleys from a good amount of ranged units with no casualties, melee combat is just them flailing at each other for a while assuming they don't get confused and just decides to let 5 guys walk at the enemy while the rest stand back and watch.
