Why is Sup Forums so vocally against supporting game developers for games they like, especially on handhelds, a dying platform?
Why is Sup Forums so vocally against supporting game developers for games they like, especially on handhelds...
Because they are losers who can't even support themselves
>Against supporting game developers for games they like
Did I read that right?
Why did Sup Forums become infested with Redditors on a crusade against piracy?
>everything I don't like is reddit
I didn't say that. Now fuck off back to /r/gaming
Give me one (1) reason why I shouldn't pirate video games.
How would you feel if you were a content creator and someone took something you worked years on for free?
>games they like
kek
if they weren't going to buy it anyway why would I give a fuck?
Autistic manchildren know not what they do. These are the same people who will turn around in a couple years and cry that everything is on mobile now.
If it's good enough, they'll tell their friends and I might end up getting a sale out of it.
See there's the thing, you don't know if they wouldn't buy it if piracy wasn't an option.
It gets the word out. For small indie devs, word of mouth is the best (and sometimes only) way of getting your game known.
Vermin Supreme
That's what let's plays/reviews/gameplay footage is for.
Duke Nukem
and you don't know if they would. And the fact is that piracy is a thing so that ass backwards reasoning is completely pointless.
>let's plays
Watch some idiot run through the game blind with le whacky faec for views
>reviews
There are good games with bad reviews, and bad games with good reviews. Reviews are meaningless
>gameplay footage
The only interesting bits crammed in to a 30 second teaser
If more companies made demos, I'd stop pirating.
>Let's plays
Let's players need to know about the game
>Reviews
Reviewers need to know about the game
>Gameplay footage
Someone needs to record it
You can't just send your indie game nobody knows about to review sites and expect them to play it. They don't even play games they're actually paid to review, like AAA games. A let's player won't waste his time on some unknown game unless it's fucking terrible or lolsorandom.
Someone else would buy it and I would still get a following?
I'm not a cunt like you are
>steals a shirt from a shop
>durr I wasnt gonna pay for it anyway xP
If you dont buy something the creator doesn't lose or gain anything but if you steal something the creator loses the product and gains nothing.
Fpbp
How is he losing his game when somebody makes a copy of it so they can play it for an hour just to have a semi-informed shitpost session?
this is some low tier bait
