i bought this for 10 bucks like a week ago and i fucking regret it
a complete piece of shit, every aspect of this game screams trying too hard but it comes off as the most amateurish game iver ever played. It literally played like a ps2 game and i dont mean that in a good way.

V/, I think what's going on is a perfect time to talk about Watch Dogs 2. It is shaping up to be a good game. The new protagonist we get to play as is a breath of fresh air and the music/editing in this gameplay video is pretty sick.

Great idea for MP that is pretty much ruined by nearly everything else. The C rate Batman protag, that disgusting wreck of a female in your pic, the story that never really gets interesting, the shitty soundtrack, the boring city it was set in.

I wanted to like 2, but it's looking worse. SF is a shit setting, the protag is every terrible thing about millennials except a ginger beard, and the gameplay looks even more hands off. Fuck.

The game itself wasn't too good, I thought.
To me it just felt like all surface with nothing underneath. There was a long-range use button which they called hacking, for example. And all the randomized profiles of citizens. That's a cool little thing, but the game feels entirely constructed out of "cool little things" with barely any substance. So I personally got bored pretty quick.

And the story....Fuck, i felt bad for aiden through the whole thing. Not out of being able to relate or something, just out of how fucked he kept getting.

Ubisoft is so lazy that they didn't even bother to have realistic probabilities. There's an even distribution of whites, blacks, asians, homosexuals, jews, yoga instructors, war veterans and pedophiles. Everything is just random, nothing else. Makes the city feel more like half-assed matrix than Chicago.

Really annoying story because it introduces a lot of things either with no setup or with no payoff.
Like the Fixers, they're essentially mercenaries but we're given no insight whatsoever about their organisation or backgrounds, you do a bunch of missions for them and get no details at all. They're also enemies half the time but they work with you a bunch of other times.
Jordy, your friend/hired fixer, he's in the game but only on and off so him showing up like he did at the end isn't really all that much of a thing because you have no real emotional investment in his character, he either needed to be there more often(he was earlier in the game but dropped out at about halfway) or they needed to have him turn or get fed up with Adrian earlier so that him showing up feels smarter(two former partners trying to kill you at the end).
DedMouse or whatever his name was was a hacker who hacked your base and delayed the end of the game for about an hour for no reason, he had no build up at all outside two-three audiologs you can find around the place. He should have been mentioned earlier in the game as a part of DedSec or against DedSec or a suspect in trying to kidnap your sister, introduce him earlier as a guy that you fucked up for no reason(or you fucked him up on Clara's orders to gain DedSecs trust) and let him sit in the background so his attack against you and Clara later makes some kind of sense.

The music was tedious as hell, not a single song I recognised.
The city was pretty cool as a setting, big map, lots of people, I wish there had been more to do in it. Like hunting down criminals from their ID info and following them back to their gang/hideout to catch them all.

Also the most fun in the game was the base attacks you did on the gangs hideouts, but once I found out that all you needed to do was brute force attack them and could just skip stealth completely they were awful because they were easy with limited rewards for sticking to stealth.

It didn't blow me away.

It had a neat online invasion style mechanic that ended up being kind of shitty because it basically came down to where you were when you were invaded.

The rest of the gameplay wasn't super memorable generally. I remember sneak attacking people with a baton a lot, which was alright. But the actual hacking mechanics didn't really impress me.

Really the best thing about it is that it's a comfy "walk around in the rain in Chicago" simulator. Otherwise it was just okay. It didn't do anything great but I didn't hate it.

Best third person game I've ever played. Better than GTA V in every way. Aiden Pearce is one my favorite protagonists. Gameplay excels in every way. Won't even touch Watch Dogs 2 because they did the typical Ubisoft shit of taking a good white protagonist and removing him, because he's white. Look at what happened with Far Cry 4. Hey, at least in FC4 Ajay Ghale was Kyrati (basically Nepalese), and was quite neutral and apart from the le camp Hong Kong man there wasn't much political correctness. With Watch Dogs 2 every character is politically correct and the plot is a BLM inspired spit in the face to the white race, Marcus Holloway literally "dindu nuffin", and of course the edgy dedsec hackers will be taking revenge on the evil whiteys who framed innocent Marcus.

I feel like the story was actually done that way on purpose to make you appreciate generic conspiracy shit by throwing all those plot hooks that would normally you go "this shit again?" only to have them get thrown into the woodchipper and replaced with shit that you somehow could care even less about. It's honestly quite brilliant.

She gave Blume the information on Aidan after he hacked Lucky Quinn's man at the Merlaut Hotel who had video of the Mayor killing some girl who worked for Blume which Iraq had stolen/copied.

Quinn used his leverage with the mayor to get in deep with Blume(who themselves were conducting mind control experiments in CtOS on the public to get the Mayor elected) and they called in Clara to backtrace Aidan and Damien and get info on then, they passed it on to Lucky who farmed the job out to Iraq who had leverage on Maurice(that guy you capture at the start of the game) to kill Aidan but got his niece instead. They also broke Damien's legs so he'd never walk properly again.

In exchange for his services Lucky put Iraq's guys on security at the Auction, which failed spectacularly thanks to Aidan. Iraq's great plan was to blackmail all the major players in the city and control the streets, Lucky wanted to just maintain his kingdom and Blume were fiddling with mind control which really went nowhere in the story at all.

I literally played this a month ago and the convoluted fucking plot just kills me every time.

Had some good moments, MC is an edgy try hard piece of shit who's responsible for everything bad happening to him and his relatives, Clara is qt, Jordy was nice, Not Trevor was cringe. OST was good but soundtrack was shit, game only looks good when it's not a sunny afternoon. Like most ubisoft games, it lacks the polish, the attention to details that make games great.

And after newfaggotry-filled posts like these people still dare say that neo and summer-Sup Forums aren't real.
