I don't even know why they bother making HD re-releases of PS2 or later games, besides cashing in on their system's lack of backwards compatibility. The games look fine and would be perfectly playable if they'd just put them on PSN as is.

Tidus has always gotten a lot of unfair treatment and criticism as a character.

The criticisms often relate to him being whiny and bratty in the beginning...not realizing he's a fucking teenage athlete superstar with daddy issues living in a piss-easy sci-fi future, so that's the fucking point. This gives him room to grow and mature during the course of the game, under Auron's advice and guidance.

I also think most people just get off-put by his looks/appearance, and the stupid "HA HA HA" scene, but those people are just attacking shallow things and are missing the deeper arc of his character.

Tidus is by far the best blitzball player in the whole game for Jecht shot alone.

Tidus' blitzball stats are actually pretty good, and he can learn every tech. There's no reason not to use him as one of your two offensive players.

Gameplay wise, it's obvious the developers didn't want to have Tidus be too OP, but like this user said He can be OP if you take the time to level him up.
Story wise, the image I posted is what I've always believed as the reason for not being that special of a player.

I believe someone was working on adding the original faces. Someone else was also experimenting on a 60FPS fix but so much of the game is tied to the framerate. He edited the intro cutscene to run at 60FPS (there's a video on youtube) but it would literally require him to go through and modify every cutscene to run at 60FPS. Thats a pretty big undertaking for one person as a free mod for such a cutscene heavy game.

30FPS didn't bother me with this game at all on PC. Its not the type of game where framerate has any affect on gameplay like an FPS for example. As I said in my previous post the entire game would need modified to accommodate 60FPS and this was a game released back in 2001, there was nothing wrong with it being 30FPS on PS2. They aren't going to make a huge effort for an HD re-release for something only a minority of players would even notice. I don't even think Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 were 60FPS and those games had to be rebuilt because the source code was lost.

TL;DR: I'm all about muh 60fps but it has very little effect on this game.

Yes, easily Square-Enix's best PC port so far. No reason to buy if you own it on PS3/4 really but its good.

It's also very easy to run it at 4k resolution and it looks great at 4k.

Pretty good just got Wakka's sigil and never had any issues with controls. I use a 360 controller, the button prompts were also changed to match the 360 controller.

Well, Titus also contrasts with characters that start out more mature than him and still manage to grow. Auron, Rikku, Yuna, and even Khimari are constantly acting cooler and more collected than Titus up until the end. I think Titus isn't bad, but he fails to beat most of the supporting characters in likability.

People fail to realize that just because it's justified that doesn't suddenly mean they are an appealing or likable character. You could take a game / anime and add in a long and uninteresting portion where the main character works a 9 - 5 manual labor job and justify it saying "It's realistic, if you were traveling like that you'd probably end up doing some like that too!" So we're just supposed to ignore how shitty or obnoxious something is simply because it supposedly makes sense?

On top of that, Tidus' character development could have been subtle if they weren't bad at story telling, or if they didn't have 0 confidence in the audience.
