SS wasn't that bad, even if the main villains were lame as fuck
Now I'm convinced Disney is paying critics to bash direct competitors
Cyka Blat
rotten tomatoes:
>critics
26%
>audience
73%
IMDB:
7.1
yeah, pretty shady since even the shittiest marvel movies get decent critics scores
I hate how Disney has been slowly but steadily absorbing everything in the movie industry.
It's only a matter of time before they extend their grasp into vidya to a much larger degree.
>73%, 7.1
Those scores are still too high. I would give it a 50-55% / 5.0 of 10.
Still, not even close to the 26% / WORST MOVIE EVEEEER critics claims it to be.
>N-NO, THE MOVIE CAN'T POSSIBLY BE BAD! IT'S SHILLS! SHILLS AND (((SJWS)))! WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
I swear to got you retards are the most pathetic people on this site. Wake up and smell the blind brand loyalty
Had to watch it almost back to back, and yes it was that bad.
And you don't think that fanboys are to blame for that? Fuck sake there's a """"petition"""" to shut down Rotten Tomatoes despite WB owning the site despite being nothing but an aggregator site. I do agree that some Marvel movies do get higher than they should reviews (Thor movies and IM2 in particular), but that doesn't mean that so far DC is 1 (and barely) out of 3 on their Cinematic Universe because their movies suck ass.
People focus too much on the percentage when they should look at the average score itself which is the real representative of the movie's quality.
>Still, not even close to the 26% / WORST MOVIE EVEEEER critics claims it to be.
RT 'fresh' scores are binary. 26% of critics would recommend it as a good film.
Critic score on RT right now is 4.7 / 10, which is only slightly lower than your 5.0 / 10.
>brand loyalty
i don't like capeshit. even the best ones i'd consider a 5/10 and those are marvel movies, i'm just saying those scores seem off
Yeah that's what I meant. RT really should have a big ass disclaimer saying this.
Not anymore. They tried with Disney Infinity, but it looks like that fad died, that or retailers became sick of carrying toys, because Amazon and Best Buy are both aggressively clearing out their stock.
They're back to licensing out their properties. Spidey PS4 is the first big one, and the ports for Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 (they were shit, but at least they know and are pushing a free overhaul patch/DLC)
>their movies suck ass
That's because they're trying to make capeshit movies "deep, profound, mature, serious and intellectual for people deep, profound, mature, serious and intellectual" instead of just making capeshit movies like Marvel does.
People just want to watch Batman and Superman doing Batman and Superman things, not some ethical / philosophical debate about superpowered people.
GOD VS THE DEVIL hmmmmm YOUR SAVIORS ARE FALSE hmm
Nolan Bats is still the highest rated super hero trilogy and those are as far apart as you can get from Marvel's stuff. Even Civil War tried, just a bit, to be more than the usual Marvel fare and it worked for the most part.
And Suicide Squad was Marvel as fuck. Tons of quips, faceless goons, "save the world" plot, tried to be "fun". And it still failed to be as enjoyable as GoTG (which I do think is average and very overrated).
Nolan Batman was still Batman doing Batman things, instead of him being, I don,'t now, sit down in a corner debating about donning the cape or improving the quality of life for Gotham citizens.
Wasn't WB Montreal doing a Suicide Squad? I remember that being teased years ago, but nothing ever came from it.
Also Assault on Arkham > Live action SS.
Nolan wasn't really Batman. It was mostly just a normal action suspense thriller. No different than shit like Taken and Bourne.
Batman Begins was the only "Batman" movie of the three.
The solo Batman moments in BvS like saving Clark's mom and in Suicide Squad is probably the most Batman Batman we've seen on the big screen. Just a shame that those moments are stuck in bad movies.
What is even going on at DC, anyway? I thought that we had all agreed that making capeshit is low-effort as hell, so how are they managing to fuck up so consistently?
I don't know. It seems like there's always someone at WB fumbling with a few good ideas, but everything is turned to shit by the time it's out the door.
When you think about it, why did Batman bother fighting all 30 of those guys to save MARTHA? Her captors were standing directly in front of a window, he could have just busted it, wasted the two guards, and high tailed it out of there before any of the others could react.
Furthermore, why couldn't Supes just rush over there at the speed of sound and rescue her himself? She was just being held at the opposite end of the bay, it would have taken him literally less than a second to locate her with his hearing, travel there, and rescue her.
>I thought that we had all agreed that making capeshit is low-effort as hel
Clearly not, considering how pretty much everyone keeps fucking up except Marvel. X-Men was on the upswing with First Class, Wolverine to an extent, DoFP, and even Deadpool, but Apocalypse fucked that momentum up.
Snyder is already halfway out. We'll just have to wait until after JL1 to really see things improve.
Because like all DC movies they film 5 different movies at the same time and then try to cut it together into one movie.
BvS had Death of Superman, normal Batman shit, a weird mix of Red Son and Flash Point, and Man of Steel 2.
>We'll just have to wait until after JL1 to really see things improve
even the trailer is trash. when they can't even put out a decent trailer how in the fuck is the movie going to be good?
Shooting started on April of this year and still going. They just didn't have enough to show. You gotta remember that trailers like that are usually Comic Con exclusive, but WB desperately wants people to still believe that they'll make a good DC movie so it was shown to the public.
More like "Dawn of JUST" lol
Video games.
I think Civil War could allow itself the whole debate over superpowered individuals because it had a foundation of a dozen films where all kinds of bad shit happened (SHIELD being a HYDRA front, the Asgardians bringing their conflicts to Earth, the Chitauri and Ultron crisis, etcetera).
BvS was forcing that after one single movie.
It's clear that WB wants to not do what Marvel does, but clearly trying to catch up by doing it anyways (and badly).
Why the fuck was she even there, anyways? Good design, but a waste. Should've booted her ass like Rope Guy.
Instead of having the Suicide Squad embark in a "save the world" adventure, why didn't they make do something more mundane like, I don't know, steal secret papers from another country, assassinate someone or do a sabotage mission? The movie would be less expensive and better received.
They have a big budget, so might as well do something with it I guess.
more like dawn of the only good capeshit
If you think Suicide Squad is a good movie you really have shitty fucking standards.
Alfred left him on the second floor for shits n' giggles.
Supes was kinda weak after getting beaten by Batfleck, so he wasn't working properly, and had to deal as well with a berserk alien.
If you have to nitpick about small things, you're better off complaining how none of them got bruises after beating the shit out of each other.
>he hasnt seen Deadpool or civil war or avengers or warcraft
Hollywood blockbusters are fucking shit nowadays
Star Trek Beyond > all of those.
are you joking? is it actually good?
The trailers did it dirty, but it's damn great and finally made up for the last two shit show movies.
YMS gave it a 2/10.
i'd never guess this after that cringeworthy trailer
>Joker was a knight in shining armor romantic hero
>Had to watch it almost back to back
What did he mean by this?
>What did he mean by this?
What did he mean by this?
youtube.com
They dragged the movie through hell.
That's honestly what pissed me off the mot out of Leto's Joker. Worse still, they cut out all the scenes that make their relationship twisted and wrong. But hey, check out that sick (and totally not pandering) Alex Ross reference! Least it gave us OG jumpsuit Harley in live action.
Wait what? They made the Joker a good guy and dropped the abusive aspects of his and harley's relationship?
>they cut out all the scenes that make their relationship twisted and wrong
Really? Because the movie feels like it was heavily edited
The movie doesn't deserve a 24% or whatever the fuck, but it was still a disappointment. It probably deserves a 50-70℅, no higher or lower. The movie had it's moments I'll agree, but the third act was the most retarded, most marvel piece of shit I've ever seen. Also, I have a feeling that if marvel where to release this same exact movie ot would probably average 80% desu. Fanboys are ruining rotten tomatoes.
Yes. It was filmed and in the movie but the horrible editing removed it.
He spend almost all of his screen time trying to bust Harley out of jail. He even push her out of a falling helicopter to save her life.
>went to see the movie for my waifu the Enchantress
>she gets bullied left and right
>get cucked
I knew Sup Forums would be the place where you'd see people actually defend this garbage.
How fucking stupid. Joker wouldn't pluck a fucking hair for Harley.
People keep saying that but the helicopter bucks and joker grunts trying to grab her as she falls out.
>marvel movies get 90%
What? Next to movies on the NFR?
Heh! That's all I've got to say. One big fat resounding "Heh."
She looks super hot before her upgrade. And her transformation is great in that office scene
One of their video features is "How do make the audience root for the villains?"
Apparently the answer they arrived at was "By not making them villains."
I'm not really working on one. But I've been thinking about something web based like all those Java and flash games everyone played in middleschool. I think everyone has really been ignoring the "kids who don't have any money" market.
So which scenes did they cut? I only noticed the one where Diablo asks for water in the bar was missing.
Gotta sell that merch on Hot Topic.
It's not shown clearly, but it's easy to imagine that he did push her out to save her.
There was a thread on Sup Forums that mentioned most of the scenes. A lot of what was cut was pretty substantial. Most of the trailer scenes, like Harley "shotgunning" with her bat, and the majority of Joker scenes as well. An action scene with Harleen and Joker was also cut out, where she points a gun to his face, he slaps her and then kisses her.
>It's only a matter of time before they extend their grasp into vidya to a much larger degree.
I'd rather that than them give EA a license to print money without putting in any effort with the star wars license.
Got to hold them deleted scenes back for that "Blu-ray extended" cut money.
We'll just have a Joker Cut if anything.
I think this is less DC fans and more uneducated moviegoers who have a sort of honeymoon experience and are hyped because going to the movies is exciting and fun, so they instinctively say the movie is good and that they liked it. Watching movies on the theater has that effect on people.
WB are truly the Bethesda of movies.
Batman has no character you retard, he's been written for so long by so many different people that there is absolutely no consistency. Dumbass fanboy retards like yourself can whine "not muh Batman" all you want but all you're saying is "I want Batman movies to fit my narrow view of what a pulp trash rip off of Zorro should be".
Explain Deadpool then? Really, SS would've benefited a lot from an R rating.
