Is it a good dungeon design?

Is it a good dungeon design?

Thats no dungeon, that is the Mines of Moria!

No
Whats the point of, for example, the endless stair? It looks like it was build just because.
It doesnt work like this in real life
Also, there is not enough living quarters

It's a good fortress for dwarves design.

...

Why didn't they just tape frodo to one of those big ass birds and fly to the mountain?

and this became a dungeon

glue compounds weren't invented yet

BUT WAIT
is durin's bridge really more than 2 leagues long?
which type of league are we using here?

Why didn't sauron just fill the volcano with cement?

Moria was meant to be a place of opulence and was built to show off the wealth that the dwarfs found beneath the mountain. It was one of the rare places where the Noldor Elves of Lothlórien would visit to do trade back in the day. So they wanted the place to look real bitchen.

Moria looked impressive on screen but the older I got the more I realized how fucking retarded the layout was.
Where are the living quarters?
What's the point of that giant hall with giant pillars?
Where did they grow food and mine their mithril?

sauron has his eyes everywhere but hobbits can be missed out

why didn't they catapult the ring into mount doom from a save distance?

LOTRO is so comfy.

>what's the point of a giant hall with pillars
nigger you know humans built these things called cathedrals right?

>you will never be this autistic

the eagle actually dont care about mortals. the only reason they helped the fellowship is because Gandalf saved the lead eagle and owed Gandalf a favor

>It looks like it was build just because.
>Moria
Well I'll be!

Is it worth playing F2P-style today?

according to this map Durin's Bridge is about 10 kilometers long, and the West Gate through which they entered with the password is about 5 kilometers wide

I see enough living quarters on the map
They eat cave mushrooms and traded gold for the grain, and from the eastern side they literally had dwarf and elven land settlements

Yeh you can always get up to a certain point and then stop.

>f2p
>worth playing

Your sarcasm is apparent, but for reasons that are not clear.

Stairs doesnt make a good showoff material

Can birds even fly over active volcanoes? I think volcanic ash would fuck them up pretty bad.

dwarves were created by the god of craftsmanship for the express purpose of keeping him company crafting things

moria is essentially the atlantis of dwarves, it makes perfect sense for them to build all kinds of architectural marvels just because

If you knew the source material it was actually something that was vary hard to build at the time and was considered a wonder at the time. Just like The Hall of Durin.
