What the hell did I just play? There is literally no story and the ending is absolute nosense or is it just 3deep5me?

What the hell did I just play? There is literally no story and the ending is absolute nosense or is it just 3deep5me?

Someone please explain. I payed money for this.

It was fun but let me at least understand the ending.

You fell for the 10/10 indie GOTY meme.
>20 dollarydoos for 3 (three) hours of "gameplay"

It shows rather than tells it's story. Think about it and come to your own conclusion. You don't have to be spoonfed everything.

This is why you're a pleb, just fucking analyze the game yourself and draw up your own conclusions, it's actually a really cool story, pretty meta if you get the secret ending.

>i didn't get it either

>There is literally no story
this is how you spot a pleb in any form of visual media

This. It's not "2 deep 4 anyone", it's not "revolutionary", or whatever the fuck else people accuse it of being. It demonstrates what it wants, and it's up to you in how you interpret what's happening.

It's pretty hilarious though how much of this flies over the heads of posters around here lmao, especially when so many of the fags here go on to praise the unwritten lore of the souls games.

now you know why the devs paid 100k to not allow people to pirate this
because this is literally a pirate-uninstall after 2h f2p tier game

>Implying this game didn't have super cool intuitive cool puzzles with fluid mechanics in an intriguing world.

But sense there's no dialogue and no obvious plot it's automatically a 2deep4u game with no gameplay.

How fucking retarded can you be that you can't understand the story? Jesus christ was fucking Super 8 and Metropolis 2deep4u?

Well, care to explain, please?

It's one of those:
>ok so our game makes no sense but lets leave it this way so retards can find deep logic in this mess
games

This is my theory so don't bully:

You know how you plug into those brain devices and you control those inactive people? The huge blob was controlling you from the start, trying to use you to be able to get ouside.

I think scientists wanted that huge blob to mass control all the other inactive people to work for the upper class citizens, those people with masks on, you see them a few times in the game either buying or seeing how the dead people follow commands.

It's all a big experiment by the scientists because at the end you're not truly outside by the sea, there's a previous scene where you drop down to a miniature set of a mountain, that looks exactly like the place where you end up. You end up right where they wanted you to be.

In the secret ending you can shut down the entire mind control system and then the kid can no longer be controlled and falls to the ground like any of those other dead people.

>or is it just 3deep5me

it's literally just a bunch of hipster scandinavian devs who wanted their game to appear all cerebral and deep without putting a whole lot of effort into the story so they made an interesting setting and didn't explain anything.

I did enjoy it though. Especially the parts with this creepy little bitch.

Also, the children with long hair underwater were previous experiments because when you leave that area you see "section 3" right before the exit. And the place where the blob is is called "section 4"

Scientists still go down there in those underwater diving machines to see how the experiments are doing, which is why you manage to get one of those things to drive underwater in the first place. There's even that section after the child helps you breath underwater, you get to see a lab exactly like the one where the blob is.

Anyway the whole game you are playing as the blob, and you have the choice to use the kid to set you free (which you fail) or shut down the entire mind control system.

Ambiguous, evocative, aesthetically interesting.

That's the story. Look at those elements and find your own value in them.

Well thanks, it's what I was thinking the whole time but still doesn't make any sense to me because at the end the blob is not free.

And how come there are people with a free mind and people without one?

And whats about those capsules at the verry beginning of the game? Where they growing and harvesting mindless people in them?

The game itself was beautiful but the story is total fedora tipping 9kek and reddit tier.

>And how come there are people with a free mind and people without one?

I think it has something to do with those parasite worms you see in the pigs at the start of the game, even later on in the pic related, those people at the end of those ropes are also full of those worms, and when you make them fall down they are all disfigured, without limbs, etc. So it seems that those parasites keep the body alive.

>And whats about those capsules at the verry beginning of the game? Where they growing and harvesting mindless people in them?

I think that's probably where they detain people with the parasites to be collected later by those trucks. But i am not sure There's probably like a society of lower class citizens outside of the urban area, which is from where the kid falls from at the start of the game, but that is entirely up to interpretation.

I think the story is pretty cool, it's about an experiment and mind-control and it's pretty meta if you think about it.

Very compelling user

I want more games where you can play as an unstoppable shoggoth.
