Just started this as a Demon Hunter, what am I in for?

Imagine playing world of warcraft alone.
It's just nonstop grind.
AOE spells fill the whole screen with ridiculous numbers, the amount of monsters in insane and when you reach levelcap you grind for item sets with 1-5% drop rate over and over again.

Sounds like my kinda game desu. Pretty excited to get into it.

just pick whatever play type you're interested in. if you wanna be a wizard and shoot magic, or be a barb and beat people up it doesn't matter. every class can break into gr80+ easily.

You can do that in like 10 minutes. And besides normal people just wait 24 hours and then get someone to powerlevel them.

DH and Monks are the strongest.

Played this game co-op with a friend on ps4 a few weeks ago and we literally just ran through killing everything instantly. Is this game ever challenging in any way?

Try playing on Hard or Expert.

Normal is pretty much the Easy difficulty for this game.

If you hadn't picked up on DH being the edgemaster class, then there's little hope for you abon.

it will never be an issue. disc is so underused that's there's actually gear that makes you do more damage based on how full your disc pool is. eventually you'll have enough rcr to where you can use your berserk skill (every class has one for dh its called vengeance) that lets you cast everything for free with minimal downtime.

I think we started on the hardest difficulty available.

DH is hell of a fun, and this comes from actually more PoE than D3 player. UE build is nice to have, since it's really comfy for clearing (g)rifts solo. After one of recent patches doing gr80 with ~1200 paragons was pretty easy, too.
