ITT we name our biggest game we're nostalgia blind to and other anons crap on you, I'll start.
>Turok 2: Seeds Of Evil
perfect game for its time prove me wrong.
ITT we name our biggest game we're nostalgia blind to and other anons crap on you, I'll start
The aesthetic and atmosphere is top tier and I don't care if literally everything else is shit
I play tSuper Mario Sunshine to 100% completion without a Blue Coin walkthrough every summer and enjoy every second of it, and there's nothing you can do to stop me.
I'm well aware that it's a flawed game in a lot of ways, but it doesn't bother me that much as the pros far outweigh the cons to me.
Armored Core 5 is better than it's ancestors due solely to the more slower, numbers based combat that allowed a far greater range different strategies and customization.
Previous installments were weak with clunky controls.
>may cause complete ENJOYMENT
That's a funny way of spelling "aneurysm"
>Mario Bros Deluxe
It had tighter and better overall controls than the original
Seeds of Evil is one of the best story driven FPS ever made.
Mario Kart 64 will forever be the best Mario Kart to me. There are flaws but I don't see them.
sugoi
I really wanna get into Armored Core but never bothered figuring out which one I should play. I guess 5.
Best girl
All other AC games were just gottagofast mechs with little variation.
AC5/Verdict Day changed it.
You can now be gottagofast, tank, medium, long range, etc.
I hope you're competent at math, because there's a fuckload.
I miss Turok; I wish they made a new one for current gen
Parasite Eve
It's literally the perfect video game.
I happened to major in math
>Armored Core 5
who the fuck is nostalgia blind to AC5
This, except the sequel. Fuck the haters.
It came at a time when Final Fantasy and Resident Evil were among my favourites. It was like heaven for me.
I was 14 when AC5 came out.
So Im sure it counts.
I got the game for my birthday no-less, so it had a bigger impact on me as it was on a special occasion. I didn't like AC4 or Raven later on when I tried them. Fast anime mech action is a turnoff for me.
What verson is better to play?
psx or psp?
I'm playing through Throne of Bhaal right now with a party of Elf Archer MC, Minsc, Jaheira, Imoen, and Aerie. Just started learning level 9 spells. I'm finally experiencing the joy that is unleashing hell during a Time Stop!
No greater single-player high-fantasy RPG exists.
>Parasite Eve
Had some cutscenes that were pretty creepy and impressive for the time, but the actual gameplay was clunky and forgettable.
Settlers 4.
Other Settlers can't compete. Except 2 maybe.
MK64 is still my favourite to play at a party. MKDS is the most technically interesting, with an extremely over-the-top skill cap. It also has the best battle mode and an absolute ton of levels to pick from.
If I have to pick between playing through Sunshine again, or playing through 64 again, I'll pick 64 every time. SMS isn't a bad platformer at all though. I just really disliked how each of the levels had become linear and you needed to pick up shines in order. The nature of collecting stars in 64 feels so much more free.
There's... only one, the ps1 game.
TloZ: Ocarina of time.
It was the prime game for its time and introduced a lot of new mechanics still used today. Target lock on for instance. Graphics and soundtrack were also superb
Didn't AC5 knly come out 3 years ago or was that Verdict Day?
Verdict Day was 3 years ago.
5 was 4.
I got to play as Legolas with his daggers and the graphics and animations are the best ever and everyone look so cool and I can't wait for return of the king and that's why it's the best game who I made a friend for just so I could use him to go and play the game at his house and promptly stop being with him when he wanted to do something else other than play the game :)
Monkey paw wish.
My exact thoughts with MK. Although if its just me and a buddy we play SMK.
MK64 is deifintely party atmosphere. Fuck MKwii.
This game is so fucking flawed, but damn i love it
God Eater Burst was my fav game when I was younger. Thought it was better than Monster Hunter.
Resident Evil 2. I don't tolerate criticism of it no matter how valid.
.hack//G.U. 1-3
I think Maniac Mansion (NES) is the best adventure game ever and had a light hearted yet spooky as shit atmosphere all at once with a character cast mechanic that would never be fully explored in a game ever again.
Oh man I played this in 5th grade and at the time I thought it was the worst game I ever played
I'm going with Jak n Dak. The day night cycle, the first technical open world game, no loading and the great settings and ancient precursor stuff was cool as shit. Got a wicked nostalgic connection with it but even if I played it for the first time right now I still feel like it'd be almost just as great.
Banjo-Tooie. Better than Kazooie in every way, sans no more literally everything talking.
How fucking young are you?
I got into videogames in my teens. I'd never played anything prior to 2010. I'm 19 now.
Has there been any word on the turok 2 steam release lately? I was under the impression the first one didn't sell so well.
I don't mean to sound like a fag but I've never known anyone who plays games who didn't start at infancy or at the dawn of it all. This is just weird to me.
Its fine lol, I get that a lot.
