900k people pirated your game using Voksi bypass during the weekend and saw how it's a shitty 3 hour long game

>900k people pirated your game using Voksi bypass during the weekend and saw how it's a shitty 3 hour long game
>you paid 100k for a 2 day protection

THIS ISN'T HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO

but it's like, art, man

>From the art director of Journey
>Longer than 2 hours

You got lucky to even have an extra hour of play. If you didn't see this coming a mile away you're either incredibly naive or a child

But denuvo was supposed to make sure people didn't see it for the shit it is and instead people should have been tricked into buying it

Why would any non AAA developer add Denuvo to their insignificant little game anyway?
Those costs mean a LOT of repelled pirates who WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT otherwise.
Repelling the best way of mout to mouth advertising is the stupidest thing they could do.

*would be needed to break even

>its another piracy justification thread

You faggots amuse me
Pirate a game because you dont want to pay for it, because thats what it is

You faggots love to find a "noble" justification for piracy when its just a bunch of poorfags looking to play something for free while blaming anti piracy as the devil

Why would i buy a 2 hour game after already playing everything it has to offer?

This thread got me interested in the game. Will download and thanks.
Not gonna buy it though.

Have to buy it though, the exploit has been fixed.

I hope they eventually start handing out a lot of life sentences for people who pirate

>the all pirates are poorfags argument

I pirated and then bought half the games on my steam library. I had already finished a couple of them. I know several people that do the same shit. Anti piracy stuff just fucks with the consumer. Get off your high horse.

how many sales did it get so far though? I hated the game and how it was a next to 1:1 Journey copy but it still looked like a lot of effort went into it

it also fucks the average indie dev according to the devs so just fucking kill yourself

according to the devs when a game doesnt sell well its piracy, when it sells well it could still have done better but piracy stopped it, that means less money in their pockets

don't pirate, listen to the devs, it hurts them

I don't even understand how you are being sarcastic but I know you are

of course you have buy something instead of stealing it, if I'm interested in some product in a store, I don't steal it and go later buy some if I like it

>director of journey thinks denuvo was necessary

Truly this man was garbage from the start. Makes sens since he started on Sony I guess.

I pirate the shit I don't want to pay for. I buy everything else.

Get over it faggot

>tfw never even heard of this game until this thread.

And i'm on Sup Forums every day.

I'll explain how I'm being sarcastic, listen close:

FUCK THE NU-MALE DEV FAGGOTS

Pewdiepie is promoting this game

so he already owned back that 100k really easy.

then don't play the game at all you fucking retard

And judging by a gameplay video, it's a boring as fuck """exploration""" 'game' like Proteus.

>Ex Sony dev decides to throw PCucks a bone
>They pirate the fuck out of it

I'm not poor though.

I'd just rather put my money toward car payments and this girl who pretends to be a cat and drinks milk from a bowl in my kitchen

it is, fucking lame, it has cool scenes with thousands of fishes swimming which I've never seen in a game, doesn't even really affect performance that much

wouldn't be surprised if some scenes had 10000 fishes

DENUVO IS DEAD

Streaming movies/anime is also piracy user.

it absolutely is and disgusting, some japs work for literally 3 bucks an hour and sleep at their workplace to produce shit for you to watch for free

...

this game will end up in humble bundle in less than one year

Why does it trigger you?
Are you a lonely virgin?
Sounds like something a fat virgin would do.

Not him, but I mean it's as he says it is. Pirating used to be just about playing shit for free out of convenience because we were poorfags or didn't want to spend money at the moment. And now as he said everyone wants to use excuses to pretend they're not the bad guys who just want everything free yet they'll still shit on the game. Be it a complaint about DRM, some culture bullshit, maybe feminism, or the classic "yeh this is why I didn't spend $60 on the game. After 150 hours there's nothing to do."

It's all hypocritical and there's no point in doing it or bragging about it since companies don't go after little guys like us but rather the distributors themselves. But telling some dumb bitch "yehh im an epic hacker I just download these files and I can play anything I want ever..." is pretty pathetic

This looks exactly like Flower except slightly more retarded and more blue. At least Flower was original at the time.

I'm glad I didn't waste my time with this half assed bypass for that shit game.

Thanks user.

That cost a couple million dollars to get that endorsement.

>I pirated and then bought half the games on my steam library.

Just because you bought the game when the price was halved doesn't justify being a piece of garbage. It just means you're slightly less of a piece of garbage. Technically, I don't know if you actually do that, but with the power of projecting, it seems a pretty safe guess.

For the record, I am also a garbage person that occasionally pirates video games. But let's call it what it is. If I could not pirate games at all, I would buy more video games.

>900k people pirated your game using Voksi bypass
I'm sure without Denuvo they all would have bought it
Yup...

if piracy was impossible in the industry as a whole, then yeah

>they all would have bought it

That's not really the point. Even if only one person would have bought it, on some level it might justify the DRM to the developer.

Now, this isn't strictly true because
1) DRM costs money to implement
2) The number of people that would have bought the game is higher than 1

If the extra customers gained from adding DRM multiplied by the price of the game is greater than the cost of implementing the DRM, and you could somehow know all those numbers, then why wouldn't you do it? The only reason would be some idealistic "DRM doesn't work, it just makes things worse" argument, which again, isn't strictly true.

No problem
And yes, it's pretty much 1:1 Journey underwater without multiplayer
Same OST, same gameplay sequences, similair "stoy", same graphics etc.
If you liked Journey you will like this ones and it takes 6-7 hours to find all the secerets, but it's not worth the 20 bucks

god bless the japanese

>At least Flower was original at the time

?

And they LOVE it.

>polar bears and penguins living together

same

And there's an alien mothership to the right
It's almost like it's a videogame

I mean it's till original but not when the author directly copies it again. These aren't the type of games you mass produce.

Cool thanks for the heads up user and thanks for the webms. It's nice to look at if nothing else.

>I mean it's till original

What was original about flower? It was basically just a collectathon flight sim without any way to crash.

cats shouldnt drink milk, it gives them rickets.

Why are people bitching about pirating this when I could just watch it on youtube?

>it takes 6-7 hours to find all the secerets

Well sorry. I actually take my time and enjoy the games and not just rush through them

It's possible to do everything in a single ~3 hour playthrough by just looking around in every area for a while. You could probably do it in less than an hour if you actually rushed.

>clipping out the ass
How the fuck can they not have fixed that? Were they too busy coding the gameplay?

is that you David
