Is this it? Am I gonna die playing this game?
60 hours in
Other urls found in this thread:
You got a long way to go, buddy. I'm 170 hours in and I haven't even started Blood and Wine.
Sounds about right. I think I finally got to skellige around 25 and with ~70 hours of play time
I was hoping to replay the game on death march, but at this rate it'll be a victory just to make it through.
I started the game on blood and bones. If I bump up the difficulty will I still get the achieve?
>try to play w3 the way I play all games, dont touch any other game until im done the main story
>tfw on week 2 and I really want to play overwatch
WHERE THE FUCK DOES THIS GAME END HOLY SHIT
AND I BOUGHT THE DLC'S TOO AND I HAVENT STARTED THEM WHAT THE FUCK MAN
I'm 300 hours in and i haven't killed anything yet
dunno lol
>mfw hitting hour 60 and Geralt still hadn't met Ciri yet
>tfw 40 hours and immeasurable amounts of blood too late to play good guy passive Geralt
110 hours in. Finished mainstory and both expansions.
How long is W3 compared to W2? I finished the latter in 8 hours and did every quest I found.
I can't bring myself to finish this fucking game.
I've explored the fuck out of Velen, doing as much as I can.
But then I got to Skellige I'm just completely burned out.
On Deathmarch, I mastered the game within the first 30 minutes. I don't even use oils or buffs, just the occasional healing potion.
The game has absolutely zero depth or interesting mechanics. Story can only carry it so far.
>140 hours
>still in Novigrad
JUST
10000 hours in, haven't left White Orchard
Why do these types of cringe worthy posts/comments remind me so much of reddit?
Much, much longer. Probably around the 60hr mark tbf.
Also, W2 is around 15-20, don't lie.
Witcher 3 is a lot longer, but shows how fucking garbage open world games are. The world might be bigger, but its completely uninspired.
Its even worse if you are an autist like me a and you try to explore every single location. I have been playing this game for 4 months and its like a job now.
Because you have spent too much time on reddit this summer.
The objectively best way to play the game:
>Fuck undiscovered locations, unless you stumble upon them
>Fuck contracts
>Fuck scavenger hunts
>play gwent, side quests and main story
Took me about 50 hours to finish it, then I did all the contracts and shit and 70 hours in I'm starting the first DLC now.
>If I bump up the difficulty will I still get the achieve?
nope.
i played the game when it first come out and did every quest and went to every ? took me a week of solid 12 hour gameplay.
then I completed it on death march a year later with no fast travel and doing both the DLC took me a long time.
The game has some pretty good content in it.
>Fuck contracts
>>Fuck scavenger hunts
>plays a witcher game
>doesn't witcher
>play gwent
Found the redditor
It's never-ending, man. So much content. I spent 5 hours yesterday just finding ingredients for potions.
I finished it in 110 hours with both dlcs but I skipped almost 80% of skellige and didnt do all the side missions in novi/ velen
should probably try out the NG+
>bought the game at release
>never got past the unicorn scene
one day I'll finish this game
>fuck contracts
>play gwent
absolute madman
i sorta agree with undiscovered locations, although I did get every single ? in velen and white orchard, skellige has too much boating so fuck that shit
haven't got all of the things in beauclari yet since the ending just seemed so final, geralt should just be chilling in his vineyard with his sorceress hoe drinking wine forever
Yeah it's a really boring game but hey user if you die playing it at least you'll be doing something!
Fuck you
>haven't got all of the things in beauclari ye
I haven't got them all there yet because of a game breaking bug It's been patched but I haven't gone back to the game.
will start a NG+ someday
>check my playtime in the stat screen
>almost finished the main quest and it says 25 hours
Something ain't fucking right, I've been playing on and off since last November.
>not going to skellige first
lol
Everything he said was true though
70 hours for the game and DLCs. Did everything except gwent quests and 3 armor treasure hunts.
probably bugged in the gog launcher
>fuck contracts
That's fine, it's not like hunting monsters is a big thing for Geralt or anything.
Show me what you've got. What's good? Mhm. Listen, I need you to craft something for me.
That's fine, it's not like you fight the same fucking monster 10 times in those contracts.
BUT THIS WATERHAG HAS A DIFFERENT NAME!
And it's always
>Hey, witcher, a monster attacked some dudes in the wodos
>What does it look like?
>I DUNNO! ASK THESE SURVIVORS :^ )
>HM THIS IS WHERE THEY WERE ATTACKED SHOULD LOOK AROUND SOME
>AH A TRAIL
>MONSTER DEAD
on second play through this time with Blood &Wine to finish the game once and for all - been playing for 420 hours. I love Blood & Wine but I feel that I'm going to die while playing this game.
I think i suck at this game
Literally just finished the main story the other day, got the bad ending. Not sure if I should get the dlc or not?
BTW, what was up with the werewolf bro near the end of the bad ending? Seemed like he had a some kind of back story to him, but it wasn't touched on. Maybe a character from the books or something?
LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA
What now you filth?
LALALALALALA
"Thank you Witcher your my favorite customer goodbye" 1 exp rewarded 50 sausages rewarded
"The Monster of Village Town" completed *AHHHHHHHHHH*
In the book monsters are rapidly dying out, and its getting harder and harder for a Witcher to find work.
In the game, it's impossible to walk for a minute without stumbling over sixty Nekkers and half a dozen drowners.
I wish this game was a bit more like the book, but then they wouldn't be able to say they have HUNDREDS OF HOURS OF CONTENT.
have you considered shutting the fuck up?
Nice way to play like a complete casual faget
Skellige is actually pretty short sadly, considering it is a very nice zone.
If you skip all the side shit it will not take long, there is like two main quests there.
Novigrad is still my favourite zone, it felt like a true city considering how big it was and how cool it looked with tons of shit to do and not a bunch of empty cardboard buildings.
Great quests there too.
More monsters have been streaming back into the world At the end of the game you let in more than there ever has been
Have you considered killing yourself, autist mcgee.
>New Game +
>Gwent Difficulty - Hard
Lets do this
Are you me?
>like a true city
this so much
I hate when games do this
>welcome to this big city
>its the biggest city in the continent
>20 buildings
>start game
>get to Velen
>take first quest I see
>recommended level: 33
Yeah Novigrad city was like half the size of Velen.
Made it seem much bigger since you could not gallop with your horse.
I thought oxenfurt was big when I saw it first.
Thinking about getting this on PS4. Do I really need to play 1 and 2 first? I heard that this one is pretty standalone.
The game tries hard to not be super linear. You will find yourself backtracking a lot.
There are also level ~13 quests in Sekllige.
I have deleted my saves multiple times starting from the begining doing this since the first patch, the game has changed so much since then. Some quests changed got tweaked too, like the one where you kill the old foglet and you had to wait an ingame week to get the pay. played the game for 160 hours and i still havent found dandelion..
Fuck my weak spirit. But i march on, I will find whoreson and then i will find dandelion.
Bethesda is of course the most obvious example of this.
Let's hope they've learned their lesson for Project Greenheart.
it is a thing they added in later patches that are quests for higher levels.
There's a bunch of backstory for the characters that you're missing, but the plot still makes sense.
Did someone say maps? I fucking love maps.
The game expects you to follow the story quests as soon as they're available, the story is supposed to take you out of Novigrad fairly early then back to Velen around level 25. Most people don't do this (myself included) so they end up in Skellige way over leveled.
I've been playing the game is it first came out, day one. I still haven't beaten it.
At first I was doing everything along the way and clearing maps. Then I got to Skellige.
All the loot caches just weren't worth it.
Never touched the DLC
Yeah I cleared about every single quest in Velen before moving on. By the time I got to Novigrad, I was already over-leveled for everything nearby.
I tried to continue doing all the sidequests that seemed interesting before moving to Skellige, but by the time I got there I could 1-shot most everything. The game became kind of a boring grind at that point, and I just started to sprint for the finish. As a result, Skellige and the final missions of the story seemed incredibly boring and easy.
The pacing of the game seems to be all jacked up. It's almost as if the developers never expected you to do anything besides the main quest. The final boss was insanely trivial at level 30+. Which is really sad, because the mechanics seemed interesting, but it was just way too easy.
I beat the game on Death March in like 2 weeks.
I think you're just bad at video games.
Play a better game like Bloodborne
...
Are these witcher 3 achievements? Do you meet the lady that gives you the beastly silver sword again?
There's an option to have things upscale to your level. Things were getting super easy so I switched it on.
Combat is super fun again.
I tried to do everything
I got bored after finishing shit in Novigrad so I rushed through the main quest
Jesus fucking christ. Such a big map. So many quests.
All fucked by following red shit.
Plus, you get Witcher armor and weapons fairly easy, and they completely shit on the other items in the game.
Choose medium for maximum Quen spamming.
Once you're in Skellige the game feels much shorter if you skip sidequests. Otherwise... RIP user 2016
...
Even at lower levels when things weren't completely dwarfed by your level, the combat was super easy. Geralt leaps like 10 feet when he dodges, and Quen exists.
>Those fucking groups of 15 wild dogs
I play on bursts of 3 hours, and after that I noticed I've only done a couple of sidequests and explored the area little. Honestly I'm baffled on how time warps while playing this game.
I've been a fan of the witcher for 15 years now (slav) and I was so hyped for this game
>Lots to do in novigrad
>like FIVE quests in all and some sunken treasure
Yeah overall this game offers you the nicest open world I've seen and theres almost nothing to do in it, all the question marks are the same shit over and over again. All contracts are the same le epic witcher sense bullshit.
Random generated repeating quests would actually save this game a bit but no muh le traditishunel WRPG meme game design.
They've fucked the game up its 7/10 at best
Quen breaking when hitting a shield is bullshit
Not being able to roll out of combat is bullshit
Not being able to jump in combat is bullshit
Not being able to open doors is bullshit
Not being able to block out of combat is bullshit
Geralt being put in "out of combat" mode when all the enemies in the room are dead, despite someone shooting him with a crossbow from the next room is bullshit
The combat is poorly designed.
The characters and quests are good.
Too much treasurehunting and waterhag shit.
7/10
yes in B&W and its a pretty damn good sword
What the fuck could you possibly be doing to kill that much time? I've completed every single side quest and just fucked around exploring/looking for me, and I've exhausted Skellige (at Khaer Morahn or however you spell it) and am about at 40-50 hours.
I've just been taking breaks. But also the game can really take a bit to beat if you do all the extra missions.
Don't overdose on Witcher contracts, because they get insanely tedious that way. Sprinkle them in. And treasure hunts too. And fuck undiscovered locations unless you happen across them. They're just garbage loot anyway.
Some of the contracts picked up in cities are great though, compared to the village contracts that just have you follow monster tracks, like for example the vampire in Oxenfurt.
Does Skellige have good contracts? I only recall doing two, the teleported DRM tower and a lighthouse.
Also that waterhag bullshit. Counter a waterhag to cut off her tongue. Instead she teleports away every time i parry or dodge her attacks.
