Hitman 2016 to get two more seasons

>Any plans for a Season 2 for hitman? Or any more episodes after its done

>Of course, our plan is to have three seasons. Although Season Two hasn't been confirmed yet.

twitter.com/Hitman/status/762066133000163329

Fucking called it, they're using Hitman as a platform to release content regularly, and I'm okay with that.

And 14 of them will be hotels.

So how long do I have to wait until the game is actually done?

Now they just need to fix the framerate and make all non-contract content available offline

Oh and apologize for the summer episodes debacle

What's wrong with that? Las Vegas was GOAT in Blood Money and we've already had French Mansion, Italian coastal town

Uh, December probably and I'd assume the cycle would repeat with a 2017 season pass

Why the fuck didn't you just buy a $25 key off eBay? You're missing out on elusive targets.

Ill wait until the next season is actually confirmed to get hype.

I want my absolution follow up.

What happened with summer episodes?

literally only care about the finished game not some jew episode bullshit

Why wouldn't you get hyped now? Enix would be fucking stupid to say "don't keep making new content and sell it for another $50 now that you have a viable platform to create more content at a fraction of the development cost"

And you'll get your finished game when the first season wraps up, unless you're a total sperg and you're going to wait for all 3 seasons to release (in 2019) under one price.

I really enjoy the elusive contracts.

>You're missing out on elusive targets.
the thing is as a hitman fan I on't actually want this shit.
I want a finished game where I can have 10-12 hits over 1-0-12 levels, then go back to the first hit and perfect them ll.
not play one level to death per month.

you supporting this type of jew faggotory shit is a atrocity.

I'm waiting until next year when it is full retail and cheap before buying.

I love hitman. It's my first game and it's really damn good. I just bought Absolution to pass the time till a new episode comes

I bought it for $20 and I've put 400 hours into the 4 levels we have right now.

How is this something you can call when they flat out stated this during development.
arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/02/hitman-is-a-platform-not-an-episodic-game/

I have no problem with this. But I dunno when I'll pick it up. Retail version is supposed to release in early 2017, right? Another game to put on my very long list of upcoming games I want. Fall 2016/Early 2017 is fucking stacked.

...

Unfortunately, they're only saying Hitman is planned to have at least 3 seasons, not that they're actually coming. It all depends how well it sells.

It has already done really well and they have the foundations for more content. Significantly cheaper than making new Hitman games.

Really? Hitman was a success in the eyes of the Samurai Overlords at Square Enix? this actually makes me really happy as a hardcore fan of the series.

They've said it has sold really well and they know there's a ton of people waiting until the end of season 1 for the full experience

Also
Velvet assassin was fun

I've been playing this for a couple of weeks and I love Showstopper, but I don't really like World of Tomorrow all that much. It's too open, and I really like how the Palace in Showstopper is so vertical and connected. The town of Sapienza feels really separate from the Villa, and the lab down in the caves even more so.

I hear Thailand's supposed to be a hotel, so I'm excited cause that sounds like what I'm looking for.

I think president of Square Enix Matsuda-san is a fan of Blood Money.

It's not just a hotel, it's a resort.

Eight more days, my nigga.

I just hope they placed those "psychic" guards more forgiving than in the Marrakesh embassy.

I would love for them to give those guys a visible tell that they're psychic or something. A badge to show they're important and know all their co-workers or something.... feels pretty arbitrary that it's just random people in your suit know who you are.

locations you want to see?

AGENT 305

Technically, they have done that. If you enable the option to mark those guards visibly, there will be a white dot over their heads if you activate instinct mode.

I keep that disabled personally

Then don't complain.

Yeah I'm one of those guys waiting for a whole ""season""" to end so I can buy my ""complete"" game instead of this episodic bullshit

No? It's still arbitrary you sperg.

You don't need to activate instinct mode.

While I would also kind of like such a thing, it wouldn't really make sense as they're all just normal people who happen to be more attentive than others, and you don't really get an extra shiny badge for recognizing your peers' faces.

so does this mean that people who bought "the full experience" will have to pay again? making it so that Hitman is actually 3 hitman games with episodic content you have to buy separately until 2019 or some shit?

You can visualize it, you tard.

>What's wrong with that? Las Vegas was GOAT
The first level of Las Vegas was trash.
Only the Heaven and Hell Vegas level was any good.

Fuck service games. Call me when the game is done and I can play it offline.

Think of it as a season pass, you idiot.

Yep pretty much. Maybe the next season won't also be full price since it should be less work than creating the base game.

Tradition of the Trade.

So you bought the game, think of the next two seasons as $40-50 expansion packs that essentially double/triple the amount of content you got in the base version.

They expanded their vision of the game to your benefit. They've stated that you get six episodes and even gave you two bonus Summer episodes.

If they go beyond that, you have no reason to call them out for "false advertising" or anything like that.

Wasted effort. He will go full "consumer justice" on you anyway. If not him, somebody else will.

I'm confused? So they are actually planning to release real DLC/ expansion worked on after release of the base game? What year is this? I feel like I'm back in late 90s and early 2000.

Furry Convention
Large luxury brothel
College/University campus
Headquarters of a Google/Facebook style tech company.

I'll buy it when everything's released.

The entire game is "worked on after release of the base game" desu

I am. but it's 3 season passes not just buying it once to get all the content for a game you like. I usually wait for games to come out with the goty edition. I don't mind waiting just bummed it would have to be 2 years later until such a thing maybe exist.

makes sense looking at it like this. just kind of weird seeing the equivalent of multiple expansion packs to a single player video game I guess. at this point I'll probably just grab it once the full experience is out on disc then just play the expansions as they release.

People assmad that episodic buyers don't get them as soon as full experience buyers.

>Furry convention
That would be fairly interesting, honestly. Like Murder of Crows, only with more costumes.

>Absolution
That game was a mistake, which this game is attempting (and mostly succeeding) to remedy. Blood Money is the fan favorite.

>on a disc

It will be a code with a DVD for steam installer and maybe the last patched version of the game.

Is it good? Maybe I'll play it.

>Blood Money is the fan favorite

Nope, the fan base is divided. Some find Contracts the best, some BM some SA. Everyone agrees that C47 was just the bigging of the great franchise.

>Furry Convention
why not just a games convention in general, don't they also draw out furries, fightfags, weebs, etc?

>I don't mind waiting just bummed it would have to be 2 years later until such a thing maybe exist.
I don't see why they wouldn't have a pass (or "gold" version) per season though?

Like I'm sure they're also going to have a "COMPLETE" version or some shit with all 3 seasons down the line, but if they wanted money, offering a gold version after each season is pretty sweet.

It seems more like making Hitman a yearly-release franchise, like CoD and Asscreed. If they can maintain this level of quality, that would be nice, but we'll see.

>Missed the Twins elusive target because I was on holiday
>Fucked up the most recent one because my keyboard randomly disconnected as I got into a fist fight with a guard and I was shot to death whilst I was still scouting out the level and looking for that safe
Why did I have to miss the two most interesting missions?

I guess. Perhaps it's better say BM is the best beginner's entry in the series. I bet a poll about that would lean in BM's favor for sure.

newfag here

what the fuck does this even mean?

the new hitman game has some shit where you cant enjoy the game at certain times?

why cant you just play the entire game what you pay for?

if they bring back the elusive targets every so often (as well as altering some weird online issues) that would pretty much make this hitman platform perfect

the full experience is just that for the first season. they will likely follow suit with the second and third full experiences.

>I bet a poll about that would lean in BM's favor for sure.
Lets test that then!

strawpoll.me/10945495

Yeah pretty much.

There are online events every other week, which are basically random targets in one of the levels. It's nothing worth writing home about, really.

ok so i can still buy the full game later and do these targets?

So is the "full experience" is only first season then?
Because having to pay a minimum of 150 bucks for 21 missions is insane.

Maybe like a Roswell kind of thing? Military cover up in a small town with MIBs, soldiers, journalists and crazy people.

What the actual fuck has gaming come to?

5 years ago when we started getting all that DLC shit I remember anons saaying video games would be like TV shows one day, with seasons and shit.... guess they were right.

Nope. Each of them is a one time only thing.

maybe? So far you missed 8 already.
No achievements are tied to them, though, rewards are suit unlocks, 1st one was absolution with gloves for 5 completed, next one is blood money suit for 10

Yep, it's the full experience for what they were offering, the first season.

>150 bucks for 21 missions is insane.
I don't see why, especially if they're at the caliber that the missions so far (except Marra) have been, and the fact that you can skip out on poor episodes and not feel like you've been gutted is pretty gr8 m8

no it aint, wtf? 21 missions is an astounding amount.

No, they are time sensitive. 48 to 72 hours. Plus if you fuck up like die or you kill the person who you may not kill you fail. You can restart as much as you want unless you complete the objective.

If these were the early 2000s and it would be called an expansion pack, you wouldn't flap your mouth piece, you drooling retard.

but are they like characters you are never gonna see again or what?

shit sounds dumb

when i buy hitman i wanna have every character from the game

Why doesn't this sound cool to you? It's such a neat idea that you actually have some sort of realistic pressure when going up against a target?

I think it's really fucking cool, and the Illusive Targets have been really fun so far because of their impermanence.

m8 it sounds like you're too dumb to even finish any of the hitman games lmao

21 missions at the quality that they are at now? Take my fucking money.

1 of Hitman 2016's levels = 5 of Hitman 2's levels

No. You have the limited timeframe (usually a weekend) to do them. If you die or the targets escape or you meet some other failure criteria you can never ever do them ever again. If you succeed then its the same deal, you can never do it again. Do enough of them and you unlock exclusive costumes and such.

I quite like the idea since its an actual risk versus reward system that extends beyond the game.

marrakesh wasn't terrible either, night-time marrakesh is amazing though.
Sapienza is my favorite, followed by night time marrakesh, i like daytime marrakesh and Paris equally.

>but are they like characters you are never gonna see again or what?
They are targets with a back story that is as minimal as they come. It's as low effort as it gets and usually people complete those targets in 15 minutes or less. They're supposed to be additional challenges to do the fact you can only attempt them once.

>shit sounds dumb
You sound dumb.

If it were the early 2000s I wouldn't be paying 50 euro's for 7 missions

Aren't elusive targets being added permanently once the full experience is released?

Yeah, I mean it's not the worst level in hitman's existence for sure, but out of the releases so far, it was imo weakest. If Marra is the weakest in this season, then I'll be thoroughly impressed though.

Thats why you buy a Steam key off G2A. The freedom of the internet and the benefits it brings works both ways, lad.

A single mission in the latest Hitman is the size of three missions in Blood Money.

Also, you wouldn't pay because you would still be underage, you fucking faggot.

And in the early 2000s, a giant government palace looked like this and had a fraction of the content

Meanwhile, Paris in Hitman 2016 has 5-10x the content of a single Hitman 2 level.

friendly reminder not to turn into this guy:

NO EPISODIC NO EPISODIC NO EPISODIC.
We're not stupid Square Enix we know you are planning to abuse it. THis game is worse than Absolution, you brainless idiots ruined the Hitman Franchise! No one wanted an Episodic Release, we wanted a FULL Game. It was going to be full until the last mintue. DRM ruined it because of your bad servers.
You FAILED us

or this one:

please get rid of the elusive targets. why put effort in a making a big deal out of it and then have 90 percent of the people who own the game miss it? its just a waste of potentially good missions where i would have no clue due to me missing the first two.

They appear on your mini map as white dots you fucking retard, how long did you play the game for?

Hoping Tokyo and Los Angeles have more objectives than just killing two targets. I get that killing people is the whole point of the game but I also really liked that Sapienza had that lab section. Even in the older games, that English country manor in Contracts had you saving a dude whilst Blood Money had a similar thing at the rehab clinic.

Only one I fucked up was the most recent one. I killed the target undetected, then found the egg, but a guard came in the room and spotted me.

You really like spouting ad hominem do you?

>Paris in Hitman 2016 has 5-10x the content of It better has for that price. Hitman 2 had like 20 mission.

I don't like that desu. 47 is a contract killer, not a babysitter.

You also get the escalations which are basically remixes of missions.

no
having a forced stationary objective distracts from the game and changes how you would normally approach targets

And Hitman 2016 has 6 locations, assuming they're just as big/just as dense, we're talking about 30 levels worth of content versus Hitman 2's 20 levels worth of content

the elusive targets was a really smart idea. even if you don't like the idea of timed content in a hitman game and are waiting until all content is released realize that this method encourages others to not wait and instead buy the game now which helps developers make the full game you are waiting to buy. it also serves as a bonus to the people supporting them now giving them actual exclusive content and rewards they can keep after the timed content expires.

personally I'm waiting for all the content to be released but I'm very thankful people are buying it now enabling the full game to happen. thanks anons.

What I would like, as with the rehab clinic, is optional objectives. The lab in Sapienza was great, but so is the prospect of quickly sniping both targets after getting set up in an optimal position and timing things out, then bailing, instead of having to go in close to where you'd be for any other kind of kill anyway.

Aren't rumors pointing towards hokkaido and colorado?

>Miss the last elusive target by 30 minutes
fug. Seemed like a decent one as well.
