It was quite sad hearing him say that, especially after all they went through in Peace Walker and the sacrifices he made to keep Snake safe.
Just finished this game, why do people say its unfinished?
It wrapped everything perfectly to go into the original game.
You learn Big Boss was a lying son of a bitch worthy of infamy, who used his most trusted soldier and turned him into his guinea pig.
Remember when Diamond Dogs tracked down Eli after he stole Sahelanthropus?
Me neither.
The body double wasn't even his idea. He was still in a coma when Zero and Ocelot made Venom Snake. In one of the Truth tapes, Ocelot even tells Big Boss that the medic consented to becoming a body double.
MGS6: Kingdom of the Pachinko.
>tfw you love your husbando so much that you can't bear to be without him, so you make a clone of him instead
He still used him regardless.
Kaz was the only character who actually had a good story arc in this entire game
The medic WANTED to do it, though. I'd hardly consider that using him.
>Ocelot: "And don't forget, it's what he wanted."
This and his va was superb. IT was by far the most enjoyable char for me.
Something, something, "You joostfags are pathetic."
You've taken that line out of context.
The Medic jumped in front of Big Boss, that's all he did. He never consented to being put into an induced coma for 9 years, brain washed to forget who he is and then forced to fight for another 10 years.
It's actually
You joostfags are pathetic, if you had any understanding of underlying narrative you would notice that Venom Snake has nothing but disdain for Quiet, she loves him but he doesn't love her back, her dying alone and heart broken was always part of his revenge plan.
Snake slowly manipulated Quiet's feelings of hate for what happened to her into feelings of guilt for doing he stuff she did to him, and then those feelings become love to which he rejects her, just as he planned, making her lonely and depressed and suicidal, when she finally tries to kill herself she fails, and when Snake goes to """save""" Quiet, she is misled to believe that Snake wanted to bring her back to his home, when the only thing he was really there to do was stab her in the back.
Quiet was less than nothing. She didn't belong anywhere, she wasn't a diamond dog and Snake never cared about her, he certainly never loved her. No one did.
She was less than friendzoned by Venom.
>Kaz won in the end.
>Ocelot even tells Big Boss that the medic consented to becoming a body double.
No, he makes big boss think that way but he never ask venom for consent. Ocelot is a manipulator
How so? He got killed by Liquid's group during Shadow Mosses.
Wait Kaz is blind in MGS V?
Solid snake killed big boss. Kaz didnt give a shit what happened to him after that. He got his revenge.
Big Boss does say he wishes to see his face again though, that makes you wonder
Parasites
>make a clone of your husbando even make him extra autistic
>slut in bikini comes in and steals him
Ocelot had the hardest life.
>Dr. Pleasetrytorelax: "Forget everything. Your name, your past."
>Big Boss writes "'Good luck, [Your medic's name here].' - 'Vic' Boss" on the back of an old picture of the medic alongside Morpho, Kaz, and himself
>"Now do you remember? Who you are? What you were meant to do?"
Honestly, Ocelot is a bigger cuck than Huey ever was.
Huey got cucked by his own son and then killed himself over it.
And Ocelot got cucked by an severed arm, amonth many other things.
he was merely pretending
Ocelot got killed by his husbando's son (clone).
Huey got killed by his wife's son.
Both of them were equally cucked.
shit game
No Ocelot wasnt actually married to Big Boss. Huey literally became a cuckold because of his son.
>Both of them were equally cucked.
Getting braincucked by an inanimate object is an achievement in itself.
>No Ocelot wasnt actually married to Big Boss.
Which is why I said "husbando" instead of "husband". Kind of like how people aren't married to their waifus.
No he had cataracts since he was born because his mom was a hooker. That's why he always puts his grasses on.
It's a good game with ideas, but those ideas are squandered due to poor developmental management on Kojima's side and corporate meddling on Konami's side.
Probably due to his exposure to the Mist Unit. Notice how all of the Wandering Puppet soldiers all have the same greyed-out eyes.
>Ocelot: Hey Miller, you know what would be totally sweet? If we both took each of the bosses clone kids as our proteges and had a competition to see whose kid can kill the other's teacher first? I have no idea why I'm even suggesting such an arbitrary and pointless setup out of the blue, but the franchise continuity demands it, so how 'bout it?
>"Sooner or later there will be only one Boss. There's only room for one Boss."
lol jk i'll send the son to kill the phantom instead
>Miller intends to make Venom Snake's forces stronger to take Big Boss down
>There is absolutely no follow-up to this
Disgusting. I'll never forgive Kojima and Konami for what they did to this game. How would Snake react if he found out Kaz was going to use him to get back at BB?
Probably the most unfulfilling way to end a series and it was absolutely intentional on the part of Kojima simply because he watched Drive and Mad Max.
...
There's a final episode where everything is explained (rushed) but we never get to involve personally in the gameplay
For example the destruction of the Sahelantropus and the dissolution of Eli and his band of lil' nigs
We can assume Psycho Mantis sticked with Liquid after, but what happened to the parasaite strain he took?
Skullface never got to do anything actually
Volgin appareance wasn't really necessary and what happened to his body anyway?
It was a good game after all, I'm not mad, just dissapointed.
Ground zeroes was awesome, it was dark and more controversial with all the rape, torturing, killing, and gore, also it made sjws butthurt.
We never got to see any of that in TPP, maybe Konami is to blame or maybe not but with all the promised stuff he needed to see and we didn't, the game feels unfinished.
Isn't there a mango or novel with Ocelot and Kaz having a bit of chat before dying or something
>There are actually a whole bunch of unused Kiefer lines
youtube.com
If these were the lines found in the game's files, imagine what else is missing (e.g. Kingdom of the Flies).
But he was selling Snake out to Zero the entire time.
>snake has only six minutes of dialogue in this 60ish hour game
WHAT THE FUCK KOJIMA
Those are (mostly unused) lines used during gameplay. Not cutscenes/tapes.
why do you guys thing kaz sold snake out to zero then turn on him again?
Was BB always the villain the moment he left the army?
I guess starting modern mercenary groups isnt exactly a good thing per say.
sounds like some gachimuchi remix
Liquid stealing Sahelanthropus was just a throwback to the "Liquid" half of liquid Ocelot running off with Ray in 2.
Because of this tape:
I loved him in PW, I loved the camaraderie and banter he had with Snake, and priror to TPP release I steeled my heart in preparation to watching him and Snake drift apart and even resent each other over differences in views.
But at the end of TPP I no longer cared. They were both portrayed so blandly that I grew completely uninvested in them and the story. Before the end they didn't appear hateful of each other, but simply apathetic and indifferent.
What's his name?
>Call them over
>Respond to them
Lost.
Potential.
this actually gives a stronger argument that the definitive edition of mgsv could change things. People were saying how they couldn't do much since they'd need to bring the actors back but there's so much unused dialogue that they wouldn't need to
>yfw its BB who kills him before MGS1
BB was in a nanomachine coma from 1999 to 2014.
>Yfw Venom Snake survived the events of Metal Gear 1 and kills Kaz for trying to use him against Big Boss and abandoning him
>SS shoots venom in the head
>lol i survive because shrapnel armour
>Venom Snake has prosthetic arms that can fire lightning from the sky, increase his mobility, use sonar to locate living organisms from far distances, be used as rockets, and can teleport enemies toward him
>Solid Snake mentions none of this
How did Venom Snake lose?
THIS IS THE SOOOOOOUUUND OF MY SOOOUUL.
THIS IS THE SOOUUUUUUUND.
VIDEO GAMES
translation: finish MGS2
he lacked the blood.
anyone else see the theme of birth? paz's body exploded entered medics...and thus a new person was born.
>Merely a buisness partner
>Takes it personally when Big Boss goes off to create his outer heaven and leaves him behind.
Solid Snake is stronk
Kaz died a long time before that, user
He was just a phantom, not the real Big Boss.
Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Ever night, I can feel chapter 3...and the ending...even the cutscenes. The game I've lost...the content I've lost...won't stop hurting...It's like it's all still there. You feel it too, don't you?
I try to forget but I can't
Did the parasites get replaced by nanomachines? Are nanomachines parasites?
Venom would have kicked Big Bosses ass.
He actually fights Snake fairly one on one and can only lose by getting hit with a fucking rocket launcher several times while Big Boss ambushes an unarmed Snake yet still loses because he left a lighter out
chico, walker gear???
walker gear is really chico?
That's a lie, the genius irony of the game is that the "real" Big Boss is the true Phantom, receding into the shadows so he can safely pull the strings, while Venom becomes the true Legendary Mercenary Big Boss.
Big Boss was considered legendary before MGSV.
I seem to recal it being implied in one of the end-game tapes that the information from the parasite research was to be used in something that would later turn out as the nanomachine technology. So in a way, yes.
Zero alluded to FOXDIE.
FOXDIE is carried via nanomachines.
And? He's certainly not legendary in V.
>"Let the legend come back to life."
?
The point is that Big Boss gives up the legend to become a coward, stealing the life of his best soldier to go be a warmonger while said soldier becomes the legend of Big Boss. Venom then goes on to actually realize The Boss's will and avoided many of the mistakes that Vic Boss made. Then Big Boss comes back and uses Venom like a disposable asset, who goes out fighting fair while the real Big Boss slinks grabs as many Outer Heaven soldiers as he can and runs away back to Zanzibar Land.
Big Boss never become the demon as advertised, but he was a raging asshole by the time of MGSV.
>spending time at a gay floating oil rig with men in speedos
>spending time in a literal country of your making
>disarmed every single nuke in the world while hanging out on a gay oil rig with men in speedos
>took 24 years to teach his child soldiers how to attach a nuke to a Walker Gear with a hood attached
Venom always did better
And what makes you think that Big Boss wasn't operating around the same time Venom Snake was? You think he spent the next 15 years jerking off hiding in his new base? No. Big Boss sees Venom Snake as an equal. That was the entire point of MGSV's ending. Venom Snake did aggrandize the "legend" of Big Boss through his actions, yes, but that doesn't mean that the real Big Boss himself did nothing at all. They both worked to accentuate the legend, not just Venom Snake. We simply didn't see what Big Boss was up to after Cyprus.
>"This 'story'? This 'legend'? It's ours."
You Stefaniefags are pathetic. She was less than friendzoned by Kiefer.
but he didnt. what was attached to rex in mgs1? faget
And Venom is the Big Boss Legend brought back to life, not Jack who is now just some pussy who sits around in a leather jacket, relaxing and smoking cigars. Thanks for proving my point.
Man, Kiefer was awesome
I will never not be mad that they made him near mute
ben kingsly
See:
Both Big Bosses brought the legend back to life. The real Big Boss was operating elsewhere during MGSV to build Outer Heaven in secret.
>Thanks for proving my point.
Yeah you may wanna backpedal that.
A lie, he says "it's ours" but it's obvious Venom is the one doing the work. Ocelot and Big Boss spend a whole tape talking about how Big Boss is too precious to risk his life, if your takeaway from that is "nah he was totally out doing just as dangerous shit" then you're a delusional Big Boss fanboy. He even had his face changed to yours, there's nothing in the series credited to "Big Boss" during the time before he rejoined foxhound that wasn't obviously Venom Snake, this includes rescuing Grey Fox and Sniper Wolf.
Like Ocelot says, there's only room for one Big Boss. Venom is that Big Boss.
Its funny you call someone a liar while making up shit.
Not him, but BB could have very well been operating during and after the events of MGSV, albeit more cautiously.
You didn't get to see what Big Boss was up to between 1984 and 1999. None of us did. Your posts are nothing more than conjecture.
Everything in you post is fanfiction though, the fact of the matter is that there is no way to differentiate between what might have been Venom and Jack other than the implications of V, which quite obviously point to a Jack who believes his life is too precious to be risked fighting his battles himself. It'd be stupid to be given that takeaway and then go directly on to assume "nah he was definitely still out doing life threatening shit"
see
Hilarious to see Big Boss fanboys out in full force. "Jack was totally out doing awesome cool shit" is fanwank, with Zero evidence to back it up. We do however, have an entire game where the "real" Big Boss does absolutely nothing other than poise himself to take credit for everything that you do, while going into hiding to protect himself.
That's nothing but speculation. All that can be said for sure is that Big Boss was busying accruing his forces for 15 years, creating Zanzibar Land and FOXHOUND, in order to fight the Patriots. The conversations with Ocelot at the end of Mission 46 is about how Big Boss was going to hide while his soldier country was being constructed. To do this, he had to steal the life of his best soldier and hide away while anything attributed to Big Boss--construction of Outer Heaven, the rescue of Gray Fox, the training of Sniper Wolf, and more--was all Venom.
Given how the point of the body double was to hide from XOF/The Patriots, it's most likely that he spent all his time building Zanzibar Land. It was a cowardly choice and in the end a poor one, as Venom was able to also build Outer Heaven and train his special forces in the same amount of time, which Big Boss gave up in cowardly gambit to spread fear about Metal Gears without risking his own hide. Venom was the true Big Boss in the end, both a soldier and a leader. Vic Boss became the phantom, a pale shadow of his former self.
How can you write all that out and not realize claiming that the "real" Big Boss was out operating is even more blatant conjecture? When the events of the game lead very obviously to the opposite logical conclusion?
>"This 'story'? This 'legend'? It's ours."
>actually believing this when it's blatantly obvious that Venom did all the work
>believing the words of a charismatic lying warlord cult leader
What a great scene.
