Why did this game have such a God-tier UI?
It came out in 1998 yet still looks more modern and aesthetically pleasing than a lot of games that come out these days

The game as a whole is god-tier.
The OST is utterly timeless.
Sometimes I pray for a modern day remake that is nothing more than a graphical update desu because everything was perfect.

I love it's slick cyberpunk desing along with electronic music, makes you feel like you're inside some cyber space.

Gran Turismo always had great UI.

Ridge Racer 4 is one of the most stylish racing games ever made.
Can't believe no other games after recaptured it's style in some way.

Good choices.
Im also partial to Pearl Blue Soul with the bass tweeked ever so slightly up.
Bonus points if it plays when driving at night.

Is it a coincidence that a lot of games by Namco had nice looking UIs? I miss pre-Bamco Namco.

I like to think its because of all the arcade machine games old Namco did, so they had to not only make the UI simple and easy to navigate fast [since you were usually on a timer], but also look appealing enough to grab attention of passers by whilst still being clean to use.

Honestly the soundtrack does not have a single bad song.
Like the worst is maybe Thru and that's only like a 5/10.
