NOT PLAY MULTIPLAYER HAHA
shoot rocks
Walk around, name stuff, walk around some more.
It doesn't look like much.
Got Space Engineers off HB instead, and it seems like a much deeper game than this.
You can experience the ultimate non ending.
eat shit
There you have it. The definitive list of features in No Man (should) Buy.
Feel buyer's remorse, defend your stupid purchase on the internet.
LIE
You can play online with your friends in our infinite universe! Don't forget to buy the PC version on Friday!
Here's a story, My girlfriend has been playing it since she got home from work yesterday, she is enthralled, loving the exploration and silly creatures, she is not a "gamer" she plays around with Pokemon games on her 3DS and that about caps it off.
The fact that we are sitting together exploring a galaxy TOGETHER is amazing, this game is great with or without multiplayer, a feature that would add practically nothing to the game anyway.
I am grateful the game exists and am happy to shell out money for both the PC and PS4 versions so my girlfriend and I can continue to explore the universe and talk about our unique experiences.
Kids these days need to be able to co-op or pew pew other people in the face to enjoy themselves at all, fucking sad, want to be social? Go outside, maybe host a party. NMS is about YOUR journey.
explore, gather, pew pew on land and in space, crafting, fly
What dumbass bought this for multiplayer?
:(
Playing multiplayer.
Meet up with other players.
3/10 bait, see me after class
Imagine minecraft on a timer and you can't build shit.
loads of people were posting about how they were going to meet up with their friends and raid the galaxy together and shit
Fly around space and explore planets like god-damned Flash Gordon. I don't know why Sup Forums is shitting itself so hard.
It's basically space engine where you can name planets and shoot rocks with a gun.
Hey patricia, I sure enjoyed the multiplayer experience known as bioshock infinite too!

Holy shit how desperate do you have to be?
y-yeah t-the multiplayer is being added with the PC release!
He has already stated the server "problems" aren't likely to be resolved by friday.
That's not meeting a person at all.
Yeah adding in an entire new mode takes a while
I know that this is bait or a post you found on Reddit, but I absolutely loathe the people who say shit like "the game doesn't need multiplayer anyways!" While multiplayer probably isn't all that beneficial to a game like No Man's Sky, the fact that they said that it would be in the game and then either removed it or just never bothered to begin with should be illegal.
What does your girlfriends son think of the game?
>Generate entire planets, solar systems, galaxies
>step through a science fiction book cover
>think about the size of our universe
Is he the new Todd?
>Although I never actually saw my girlfriend, the fact that we met is absolutely amazing!
Have any of us truly met user?
I told my wife about the game a few days ago, being tight on bills we knew I couldn't get the game till Friday. But today I woke up to this in the bathroom. (I work 3d shift)

Someone fill me in with why this game has taken such negative reception
...
Serious talk, how much do you think it's going to sell? My FB home is full of people who can't wait to throw money at this game.
...
Did your wife's son like the game too?
I can't understand the appeal of this game. Who would like to "explore" lifeless planets? the six gorillion planets are just recoloured copies of other planets. It's absurd.
I have.
Man, that's deep.
Almost deep as the procedurally generated universe in No Man's Sky™ and it's infinite possibilities.
There might be one planet of all dick creatures. That alone is worth exploring for.
Come on man
>fly a spaceship with 3 different drives
>explore a literal universe
>warp to different galaxies
>explore endless amounts of procedurally generated worlds with all kinds of exotic lifeforms
>mine a bunch of minerals to sell in the intergalactic space station or use to upgrade your arsenal and ship
>fight intergalactic pirates in space
>hijack their freighters
>learn an alien language
>travel to the center of the universe
Not much really. Shit game lol no mutliblayer! XD
yeah but you can do fun raids with your friends, buy my game user!
fuck your mom lol
You can play online with friends, I met up with my friend earlier and we found some other cool guy and explored planets together
>LOL DICKS GUYZ AMMA RIGHT?
Shills are already getting desperate.
>letting your wife spend money on ps4 stuff
>having a ps4 stuff
>We couldn't actually see each other, but the fact that we could explore planets together was absolutely amazing!
>There might be one planet of all dick creatures
Impossible unless they added dicks to the algorithm.
All memes aside, I've been focusing on getting to the center of the universe. Acquiring warp cells, ship upgrades, finding black holes, etc. This alone keeps me motivated to keep playing. There's plenty of side objectives I need to complete to do these things that keep me busy too. This game honestly isn't as boring as its made out to be. It's one of the comfiest games I've ever played, and a great game to play high.
...
In this game, there's only three things to do!
Fall in love with Keit-ai all over again, as you struggle to survive knowing the one you want to be closest too is trapped in another universe.
>It's a heartwrenching game dedicated to showing us how empty a materialistic world is, we can have everything, yet it all feels meaningless without fellow humans to share it with. Amazing insight into the world of hikikomori, where talking with others is just out of reach. -IGN
What kind of side objectives?
Sup Forums is full of parrots and memesters who are desperate to have another TORtanic situation, that's the gist of it.
Some will argue that it was because the developer lied about multiplayer, apparently, but I am absolutely certain that not even half of the people in these threads really cared about the game in the first place, they are just in it for the shitposting.
>dude weed space lmao
>a great game to play high.
The door is that way.
Of course they added dicks, how else were we supposed to get fucked?
>It's a full priced walking simulator that's actually being received fairly well by critics
I KNOW
I KNOW I'VE LET YOU DOWN
>>mine a bunch of minerals to sell in the intergalactic space station or use to upgrade your arsenal and ship
This sounds so fun. I bet it continues being fun even after you've done it 20 times.
>learn an alien language
Woah, so you're telling me I can learn a couple of words of procedurally generated gibberish?
I'm sold.
That's their fault for being retards.
Look at this kid hasn't experienced recreational drugs. Shouldn't you be in Bible study kid?
Your afraid marijuana will make you go to hell?
Gather resources to explore more, to gather resources, to reach the center of the galaxy, to do it again and again and again.
>Be ancient Greek
>Make up story of Sisyphus as a nasty punishment
>Thousands of years pass
>People pay to experience a pointless cycle
I dont care what our technological level implies, or if we know about shit like bacteria, humans are dumber than ever.
degeneracy

its launch day, you newfag
of course there a a lot of threads on it.
I've seen the warping part. A good 45 seconds of staring at a screensaver from your ship cockpit, waiting to actually be able to play the game.
So they're literally making a fuss because of multiplayer? Why would people speculate such a thing when the developers never confirmed it
They did though.
They most certainly said you could meet another player.
I forgot to add, the boulder rolling would be MORE productive. Atleast you make some sweet gains.
An elitist on Sup Forums ? Top kek fag.
I'VE BEEN A FOOL TO MYSELF
can you make the freighters your home?
can you pick up resources from station and carry it to another station?
any kinds of actual quests from learning the alien languages?
Can you be a pirate yourself?
Is there any real difference between your starter ship and stealing or buying another?
If there are billions of planets are they unique civilizations and races?
can you learn unique building/crafting blueprints from those alien races?
as per multiplayer. I'm part of gaming group, real life friends and online ones. Mulitplayer is a huge selling point to me in a game that will reportedly "take a lot of time" to finish. Especially in a space simulator.
You can probably find half a dozen single player free flying space sim on steam alone with little effort. what's the difference between them and this?
My wife and I were both kinda excited about the game a year ago. And since i've had 3 or 4 friends ask me if i was going to get it. I told them it wasn't multiplayer and that was that.
For me, there is no appeal.
Empyrion - Galactic Survival, even in an alpha state, gives me more than NMS can offer (other than one large mmo style server). Billions of Planets? I can dick with a config file and have more planets than i can ever hope to full explore, build or sap of resources.
Hey, good question, well it's up to you! In this digital word, there's only 3 things to do!
>go underwater
>Expect a remaining oxygen meter of some sort
>"Oxygen protection"
>Ayy's banner clipping through metal
>Shit popping in
>Ship can achieve escape velocity in a manner of seconds but can only hold enough juice for FOUR. ATMOSPHERIC. TAKEOFFS.
>Same gravity on every planet
>Super advanced suit melt in less than one hour when in 57°C environment.
>inventory management as the only way to force and display progress
I'd say that so far you can request a refund and spend those 60 bucks on a good blowjob, you'll be more satisfied
Did they really manage to make a game with less content than Starbound?
>move around
>move around
>move around
>move around
>press X when you see some minerals while moving around
>Fight!
>Fight
>literally wat
>move around
sounds amazing
True. But it's marketed as a single player game.
They actually said on Twitter there would not be multiplayer
At least Starbound has building and ship customization
Seeing all these pictures of landscapes and people's ships has really made me happy, I've seen a bunch of posts of people being upset with it or talking about things they didn't like. It's all their opinions of course, but the game looks beautiful and it seems like there's so many ways to go about the game. That's what I'm most excited about, it doesn't have to be strictly discovery nor fighting, you can play whichever way you like!
Looking forward to that Aug 12 release date yet I don't get back home till the 15th, I know what I'm going to do with all my jet lag, all nighter of NMS! Now I just have to put my pre order in for steam!
Now reconcile these two points.
>ship customization
With mods. Unless you're just talking about putting furniture and stuff like that in your ship.
>literally wat
Oh, by learning the alien language you'll be able to understand what the little joyous fellow explorer is trying to say, nevermind the fact that it won't mean shit as you can and will always just read the trading options displayed clearly and in plain english
They also actually said in several interviews that there would be, changing that promise literally the day before launch is horrible.
Does this Sean Murray fag ever give an answer about his own fucking game that is not completely vague, misleading, or useless?
if anyone wants to see some no mans sky gameplay without a bunch of autistic comments from the youtuber, i found a comfy video by: jenkyboy
He explores a water planet. Anyone else to recommend that isnt a sperglord?
m.youtube.com
delet this
Believe this
He's still going. He mentioned the fact two players "met".
>5 charros have Been added to your account!
>watch streams; people just shoot at rocks and upgrade their shit. Fly to another planet, rince and repeat
>literally watch 4 hours of streams and this is all that's going on
>mfw I was seriously considering purchasing a PS4 when this game releases
Godamnit. If this game took 4 years to develop by a group of 15, couldn't they hire like 5 more people to create quests, a storyline, drama... anything.
If this game was 90% NMS and 10% mass effect, it would have been awesome
Very good question
Well its up to you
In this empty world, there's over three things to do
So can I do 24 man raids with my friends or not?
