Resident evil is the most successful game franchise in the movie industry. Hell it even performs better than DC's cinematic universe. How did this happen?

zombies

They didn't stay dead.

They're fun movies that embrace how bad and absurd they are. DC's movies are all are bsnss with no jokes and no color.

Well I'll pay to see anything with Ali Larter in it, so maybe there's just lots of other people out there just like me.

>DC's cinematic universe.
fuck off Sup Forums

They don't fuck around with "deep" messages and just show hot women killing shit.

Nobody cares, it's an action movie, treat the subject matter as it was meant to be.

It has hot women, cool action, and gory mutant zombie abominations, all tied together with sleek production. It was destined to be a hit from the very first movie.

Must be Uwe Boll's genius.

People might make a big deal how the RE movies aren't scary or accurate to the story of the games, but they are definitely true to the series.

RE is a silly goddamn series.

The best video game movie of all time is Silent Hill.

Uwe Boll never made a Resident Evil game. You're thinking of that cinematic abortion "House of the Dead"

Surely the Lego movie games beat this?

I'm pretty sure he has made RE movie though

Appealing to idiot nugamers that think graphics and story are all that matters in a fucking videogame and that gameplay and controls can be ass as long as they're distracted by pretty graphics and some barely competent story.

they're so stupid they're fun to watch

Because prople outside America don't give a fuck about comic book characters?

...

A lot of RE fans complain about the movies but still keep buying them anyway.

Pic related is a comment I found on the newest movie trailer.

I don't think Uwe Boll has ever made A game, period.

Lesbians love it.

Nope, this guy made them. He's also married to Milla Jovovich (Alice).

POOED

Forgot pic

I wanna fuck leeloo thats why

Least it is the last film so that ends the action bullshits and sets it up for us to play Resident Evil 7 which is going back to it's roots of survival horror.

Because Eastern Europe love this shit.

...

b-bully...

As if a niche demographic could account for nearly universal popularity.

Not this shit again....

House of the Dead had Erica Durance's bare titties in it, that one gets a pass.

Postal was pretty good too, and he also made a Dungeon Siege movie

Huh I just watched them all two weeks back.

>They're fun movies that embrace how bad and absurd they are.
This is pretty accurate. I think first one is legitimately decent though. And the music is so good.

Pretty much this. The movies are B tier bad movies but since they never took themselves seriously people can enjoy them for what they are with friends either on the movies or in Netflix...

Me and my friends usually see them once they are on demand and we saw all of them but they are so bad that we can't stop watching them.

Meanwhile some shit that DC does is "holier than thou " attitude and it doesn't help most of them were made by Hack Snyder.

They don't try overly hard to stay true to the games either. They get in what they can, like a pretty decent Jill, but don't limit themselves because of it.

I don't know why but I watch every one of these terrible movies.

The only DC film that bombed hard was Green Lantern. All of the DC cinematic universe made at least half a billion each.

If you count the Nolan-verse, aside from Begins which only made almost 400 mil, both Dark Knight films made a billion each.

We don't know what Suicide Squad's performance yet.

In comparison, no Resident Evil film has broken 300 million yet. I dunno what you are on about, OP. Are you being a faggot again?

Oh, good on you. I really enjoy the first one; thanks for the song links.

I enjoy that sort of "stuck in a place within the same day" genre. Movies like 'Dredd', 'Die Hard', and games like 'Metal Gear Solid' and 'Ghost Trick' fit that description exactly and I love all of those.
