In non-Steam game

LOL

dumb mercyposter

what's even the point of displaying that you're in a non-steam game to people

That's how you spot an attention whore

overlay to talk to friends.

>on Sup Forums
>shitposting
LOL

ah, I use borderless windowed and a second monitor for that kind of thing, never really use the overlay

first off the overlay is good because I actually have conversations with people on steam
second off I'd like people to know I play OW too much and try to convince me to stop...

If blizzard had their own overlay I would gladly stop being an attentionfag to my friends list

I tried that but it really bothered me not being full screen for some reason.

borderless window is essentially fullscreen but lets you alt tab quickly

it uses more resources than fullscreen

windowed mode is what you're thinking of

But borderless is the best thing to ever happen to PC gaming

it bothers me not being able to mouse over to my second screen to open tabs or type something without the game minimizing

why cant you just alt tab to the window?

So you can take screenshots.

>lauching overwatch from steam
Why? Does everyone need to know you're playing Overwatch? I fucking hate stuff that tells everyone what I'm playing, wish I can disable it on steam.

Nobody is playing Overwatch anymore.

A big part of my friendlist went like YOU NEED TO BUY THIS SO WE CAN PLAY TOGETHER but now a few weeks later nobody is playing it anymore. The hype only lasted 2-3 days.

I feel borderless widow is only really good with dual monitors since you still have to alt tab

borderless window is good with any amount of monitors, when I had one monitor I would alt tab a bunch, so games that didn't have borderless window were a pain

>In non-Steam game
>fapping brb

>my friends are casuals
>that means no one plays x game
most of my "blizzard game" friends stopped playing because they're literally too busy being normies with pokemon go, but my friends that actually like FPS games and competitive stuff have become hopelessly addicted to Overwatch.

it's well designed, but I just don't find it fun with pugs and I was never massively into pvp games anyway.

I run SLI which requires the game to be in fullscreen to alt tabbing takes a while.

bruh its big here i am having ton of fun on skype with friends goofing around with stupid team comps

My guys went back into CS:GO, Smite and Dota.
Not Pokemon GO.

I just wanna open Overwatch like I do for all my other PC games. Also it tells people if I'm busy in game. What's the problem?

I also do it for emulators.

>Know a couple that would video game a lot with me and my friends
>Play with them for years, but they stop
>A few weeks after Overwatch comes out
>Explaining how I cannot justify paying full price for a multiplayer only game
>"But this is one we will play together for a long time! We're playing it a lot and I think we'll keep playing forever!"
>Okay, fine.
>Buy it
>Play with them for two weeks
>They stop playing when Competitive launches and never play again
>"Sorry, we got bored of it."

C

>Dude, Overwatch is big in this country like everyone is playing it

Marketeer bullshit.
The game might have sold a shitload of copies but the playerbase isn't compareable to the big fishes.

Most people who bought the game stopped playing it after a few hours. Others kept playing it but now only come back when some sort of update hits that keeps them in for a few more hours every few weeks.

It's nothing people play intensely like Counter Strike or Assfaggots.

>launch overwatch through steam
>people I barely talk too or don't feel like talking to keep asking me to play with them
>already got a party full of friends to play with
and this is why i don't launch OW through steam. Don't want more people to talk to me.

Is it true that fullscreen has better performance than borderless?

you have autism. nobody cares about what shitty game you are playing, spergo.

Yeah, it might not be huge depending on the game, but if you have any performance issues you should definitely set it to fullscreen and not borderless or windowed

this. i don't have a second monitor and i get annoyed by hearing steam notifications and the only way i can respond is by alt-tabing the game.

Thanks big guy. Fullscreen for laptop and sweet, sweet borderless at my desktop.

My friend put overwatch on steam because he had a friend who wanted to watch via broadcast. My friend was then too lazy to de-sync it from steam

Borderless actually adds inputlag if you don't disable Windows Aero or something. I don't think you even can disable it post Win7.

>not realizing overcuck is an sjw panderfest

>Competetive

Oi im laffin

He said it's so that people know he can't immediately respond to a message, not so everyone knows which specific game he's playing. Stop misreading posts and sperging out.

>in game:TF2

>buzzwords: the post

>run 2 bloatwares at the same time just so you can show you're playing MEMEWATCH

How would one know if Aero is disabled?

>neu male, the faggot

>cant even spell nu

whats it like being 14

I don't play games where that would be a problem

/thread

yep

>he still plays on win 7

TOP KEK

Don't remember, it might not even just be Aero that does it. Give it a quick google search and I'm sure there'll be an article or something on it.

Fair enough, but I personally despise input lag, especially in multiplayer games and shooters.

I don't. I also don't think you can even disable it to negate input lag in borderless past Win 7. FYI, you do need to disable Game DVR on the Xbox app in Win10 to reduce general input lag.

I have a couple of friends doing the same with me. Ech, I just can't find the appeal of playing 6v6 on tiny maps pretending multiplayer vidya has been frozen in time since 2007.

>Still queue with my friends at least a few times a week
>Everybody I know who had thousands of hours in GO has basically abandoned it for OW

Just because your friends are fags who can't stick with a game for more than three days doesn't mean everybody is.
