ftl

I wana get elite dangerous for this reason, would it do the job?

Came here to post this as well

Space engine with a higher level of detail, and plants and animals

So basically no mans sky.

A single player handcrafted one with 4 or 5 detailed planets (read: traditional size maps) and some small side/open are stuff.

No interest in a time wasting open world with little to stimulate other than numbers ticking up. That said eve online is decent because it focuses on a player run economy and world with no "you can fly your own ship weeee !!" Bullshit

Mass Effect Andromeda > No Man's Sky

I guess Star Citizen, but it's becoming increasingly apparent that when Star Citizen evaporates after >$100 million has vanished, it will destroy the space genre once and for all.

idk what are you faggots expecting from SC, you can't make a game of that scale in under 5 years

Something akin to Star Control 2

What he said. Star Citizen is my ideal anyways, too bad it's in the hand of devs walking the same steps as Starbound. Starmade will be great if they ever add the flora and fauna they've been promising.

Not so much the number of years, as the crazy inflated promises they kept making as well as an inability to mange money that is going to fuck them over.

m8, it's just freelancer with nice graphics and multiplayer. like.. GTA VC and such were made in a year. It should be simple enough to appropriate 100M or what'sit on a decent studio lineup.

WHERE MY FUCKING ANDROSYNTHS?

...

The one and only

One person made this...

>tfw space is an unforgiving black void
>tfw space is pretty much the wild west
X3 I guess

Eating dog shit every meal for the rest of your life > Andromeda=No Man's Sky

>Space engine still doesn't have an equirectangular view

I just want to make space HDRIs.

It's pretty comfy. But it gets damn boring damn fast. There are like 4 different types of space station and actually weird looking or strange locations are pretty few and far between so it feels very samey. I haven't tried planet landings yet though, but you also have to pay like 80 dollars to get the whole package.

It can be incredibly comfy, driving on planets really makes you see the scale, if you want a game closest to real thing elite is best bet.

Did someone say Space Engine?

Cause I think someone said Space Engine.

trying too hard to fit in there champ

This really should be a game...

Have you learned nothing?

VIDEOGAMES ARE SHIT
VIDEOGAMES RUIN EVERYTHING
FUCK VIDEOGAMES

>He trusts EA and Trannyware

see

He is gonna add gameplay to this eventually.

What game?

There's already a game. It's called Elite: Dangerous.

just let me build shit

Space trucking. Fuck the surface. Here's my ideal:

>giant freight ship or tug ship, ala the nostromo
>a small crew, with schedules, dialogue
>ability to explore your ship in first person, with various activities, such as visiting other crew members, maintaining the ship, eating, exercising, whatever
>no need to go to planets, just pick up/drop off at orbital stations
>see other ships every once in a while, maybe have a short dialogue with them over comms if you want
>a clear objective: make your deliveries and pick ups on time, maintain the ship, finish your work assignment of however long
>bonus objectives: make a little extra dosh with small deliveries, illicit or otherwise, give people rides, answer distress signals
>semi realistic space controls, such as turning off engines once you've hit a desired velocity, having to control docking yourself, having to carefully plan high speed travel so you don't hit something
>a cat
>cigarettes

Space engine

So elite: dangerous after they finally add space legs?

freelancer with better graphics and bigger map

Star Citizen but with lolis

Star Citizen but without having to pay 100$ for a moderately decent ship
