How long untill we get this type of crafting?

How long untill we get this type of crafting?

I'd like to design and craft the ultimate weapon.

Dark Messiah had it

>Dark Messiah had it
When you say had it, Do you mean like actual smiting and having to heat up metal and shape it and so on?

Imagine a blacksmith game where you can craft your own sword and armor in any way, shape or form and use them on people

Now imagine those same mechanics applied to everything else, wood cutting, stone cutting, clothing, glass blowing, etc.

Building a giant metal catapult that fires glass balls full of poison.

Build flesh golem, you said etc.

Why isn't there a blacksmith simulator gaem?

the tech is there but
>consoles
how it could be done
>basic 3d modeling inside the game
>heating the piece allows you to move vertices for a bit
>hammering the piece works like the liquify tool in photoshop

>Blacksmith Simulator 2020

Because we demand more.

Oh, Actually that's easy to do.

You've just gotta dynamically adjust the mesh bit like that game from dust.

As for Consoles.

Rotate your camera with one stick, press a to hammer and do the same system for PC

It's pretty simple system to introduce for consoles because they've got all the sticks and shit but PC?

If we could build anything, i'd just take over the world.

It would be build an army of metal creatures and begin claiming the world and eliminating the player population.

Somehow turn my self into a metal man.

It was entirely scripted and no different than usual "crafting" in a video game.

OP, you'll never get it, outside of a stupid indie meme physics scavenging survival game. The reason is because it's too difficult to implement for too small of a game mechanic. It'll either be incredibly shallow and pointless or it would be so needlessly complex in a bid for realism your processor would burst into flames before you even finish making your stupid deviant art tier rainbow colored jewel encrusted god sword

Fuck off anyway though, OP. Who gives a fuck? You just want to make sand castles and that's how games like no man's sky get made. How about actual fucking content.

Steam powered power armor?

...

You mean stupid indie games like Minecraft

>You just want to make sand castles and that's how games like no man's sky get made. How about actual fucking content.
Actually no mans sky would just generate my sandcastle.

>because they've got all the sticks and shit but PC?

Yeah how is PC gonna rotate the camera and press a button to perform an action?

This is the average idea guy. A fucking oblivious retard who thinks his dumbshit, overly specific ideas are going to make for a good game.

How would that make the game good?

It is resources, can you craft it?

NMS is a stupid indie game too. That's specifically why I mentioned it, it sounds exactly like what people in this thread are describing:

An incredibly specific activity that doesn't actually provide real content on its own.

16 QUINTILLION SAND CASTLES WITH DIFFERENT COLORS N SHIET

>This is the average idea guy.
Well, Your in luck. I'm skilled in all those. Game Design, Art, Programming, Etc.

The sticks at least have a bit of fluid to them in terms of moving the camera and hammer, metal etc.

But PC it would be very machine like in terms of moving the camera.

New colours that haven't been discovered yet..

Well all the the Truck simulators and Farming simulators sold like hot cakes.
Why can't there be a Blacksmith simulator?

>But PC it would be very machine like in terms of moving the camera.

Again, this is your average idea guy. He's too fucking stupid to think of a method of input for smooth control for PC. The best part is that he's probably got his fucking hand on it right now.

It's called a mouse, retard.

>New colours that haven't been discovered yet..

So are you trolling or are you actually stupid as hell? Like were you diagnosed with something early in life? If you're meming just stop posting.

>It's called a mouse, retard.
Well, Actually my mouse handles like sit and i'd prefer to use my graphics tablet but your right the mouse is a good tool for rotation but what about moving the metal or object.

Mouse would only be the camera.

Meme's jack.

>Well, Actually my mouse handles like sit and i'd prefer to use my graphics tablet but your right the mouse is a good tool for rotation but what about moving the metal or object.

Mouse too, retard.

>Mouse would only be the camera.

Only if you're a fucking moron. So I guess the mouse is just for the camera.
