Niggers
I still don't remember, did they ever explain why the MG RAYs bleed when you shoot them with the missiles?
Did they bleed? I don't remember that. I remember it just being an explosion.
MGS2.
How do we design an Evangelion game Sup Forums?
What kind of combat?
What kind of NPC interactions?
Who would we play as? Shinji? Or select from the 3 Children?
Persona social shit with armored core mech combat.
I'm pretty sure it's just nanomachines
Like actually. I think that's what it is, I don't think there's a deeper meaning or anything
How would the story be handled? If it's like Persona social shit then they would need to overhaul the system to actually be real time and not controlled by the player I think.
If an angel could attack at any moment rather than a scripted time except for the main ones from the series I think that'd be pretty awesome.
I honestly think if Evangelion Jo's combat was more than Dark Souls: Giant Cyborg edition, it could have been a cool game
I had an idea a while back for a game where you play as Gendo. It'd be some kind of strategy game where you have to appease Seele whilst secretly sabotaging them whilst keeping the Evas and their pilots in check whilst also meeting your own goals for Instrumentality.
The children's synchronicity relies on their connection to the Evas ie dependence on their mothers which relies on them being somewhat unstable. You'd have to orchestrate the lives of the pilots so that they're always somewhat unstable without pushing them into a breakdown. Maybe you could even have the option of pushing someone really far to go berserk as a last resort.
You'd also be trying to figure out what exactly Seele's plans are for Instrumentality. Maybe their could be a mechanic where you send spies on missions for intel and have to try and sabotage Seele or do things that slow them down (ie you might find out they need Unit 02 for a part of the ritual so you try and drive Asuka insane/get Unit 02 destroyed without Seele firing you).
You'd have to try and manipulate everyone around you without raising suspicion or giving away your own plans.
Don't know. When I think of EVA, relationships and mechs come to mind. Ergo, social links and armored core.
There'd be the main story that follows a fairly linear progression, ie you'd have things you have to do like school Mon-Fri and Eva training on certain evenings, then you'd have free slots to build social links which would feed into your performance in the Eva.
Then the Angel attacks would be semi-randomised so you never quite know what to expect. Sometimes you'd have to focus on just staying sane from constant Angel bombardment, other times you'd be trying to cement a friendship with, say, Toji, to improve your hand to hand skills.
There'd have to be more to it, but that would be the basics.
Maybe there'd be some slightly weird game where you're in the Eva and exploring it/your own mind/Yui's mind and unlocking certain things like abilities and power-ups and secrets.
Also your interactions with other characters influences their lives too, eg if you befriended Toji then maybe he'd excel as an Eva pilot instead of getting fucked up
This would in turn affect you, eg if you neglect then lose someone then the abilities/power-ups become unavailable to reinforce the theme of the importance of overcoming the barriers between people, which works well with Persona's framework.
The ending was the best part of the whole show you pleb
Evangelion on the N64 of course.
I feel like that strategy game where you control the base underground and fight aliens (can't remember the fucking name) would be a good basis for what you're talking about.
Evangelion is the Evangelion of video games. Lots of potential but ultimately disappointing.
I only hate it so much because it's my favorite anime tbqh.
xcom
ya it does, I don't even like Persona but Evangelion's themes fit well with how the gameplay is designed.
Maybe the parts where you explore inside the Eva would be like a VN with multiple choices that lead to different outcomes when you communicate with its mind and come to terms with things inside your own mind
Do you want to become one with me? Of one mind and body?
Bloodborne
>Kill the beasts Shinji it's just what you're supposed to do
>first section is you getting more and more confident in your abilities
>second section is you wondering if what you are doing actually matters
>everyone is slowly going mad
>all sorts of crazy alien shit
Those are video games of evangelion you illiterate fags.
Either FF7 or MGS2
I can agree with this
That would work really well actually. Just swap an underground base for NERV HQ with all it's different departments and you'd be there.
X-Com always teased at conflict between different groups actually, and it would be really cool to use that in actual gameplay. Keeping Misato in the dark as much as possible whilst keeping Ritsuko obedient, etc.
Yeah, you'd have an overmap like X-Com 2's that was Tokyo-3 instead of Earth, and you'd have to keep an eye on various things (people, departments, there'd be a second map for your espionage stuff,) whilst building defences and upgrades for the Evas.
The real hole now is what the Angel fights would be like. Would you control things directly or give orders to AI?
Literally Xenogears.
That's wrong you retards. Persona 3 is LITERALLY EVA. they even have a cute sissy boy show up at the end to win the protagonist over and teach him how to come out of his shell and love people just like in eva
Xenogears
...
Sin and Punishment
yup, play as gendo and it would be the tits. exposing Seele and fighting against them
Sup Forums knows nothing about video games, as usual.
>Story a bout nice but sometimes full edgy main character
>Mechs are an important part of the plot
>It has heavy religious themes
>Redhead waifu and quiet waifu/daughterfu (Emeralda)
>Everything goes to shit
>The second half is an unfinished mess that got people upset left and right.
The only thing is that Eva eventually got a movie and some other ones later one, with Xenogears, we got shit, so I like to pretend that Xenosaga and Xenoblade are related somehow just to cope with the sadness.
Did they fuck?
No
Right down to the character archetypes and story beats. There's even an officially published alternate universe manga that basically mashes the two concepts together:

Raising Ikari was a pretty good attempt, aside from combat.
