Everytime i see this game i want to read johnny got his gun again.

why? Have you ever read a single fucking book about WW1? If the creators of this abomination even did the most basic research, they'd know that taking your standard modern battlefield game and replacing all the guns with old guns does not make a WW1 game.

Any asscreed game ever.

>Criticize a game for not following its source material
Just another poltard

>"We had no communication with the rear for three days and nights because the bombardment did not let up. We were not even able to get our rations and we only ate biscuits and chocolate and there was almost nothing to drink; finally we were able to get our rations but with a lot of difficulty; therefore, we're glad to get out of here because we've been completely brutalized by the bombardment; one has to have a strong heart to endure such a martyrdom. This is not war, it's a massacre. Oh! when will it end? It's terrible to see what's happening... "
>"Anyone who has not seen these fields of carnage will never be able to imagine it. When one arrives here the shells are raining down everywhere with each step one takes but in spite of this it is necessary for everyone to go forward. One has to go out of one's way not to pass over a corpse lying at the bottom of the communication trench. Farther on, there are many wounded to tend, others who are carried back on stretchers to the rear. Some are screaming, others are pleading. One sees some who don't have legs, others without any heads, who have been left for several weeks on the ground..."
>"...I stayed ten days next to a man who was chopped in two; there was no way to move him; he had one leg on the parapet and the rest of this body in the trench. It stank and I had to chew tobacco the whole time in order to endure this torment..."

Battlefield 1 is an insult to the Great War. The reason nobody has made a great war video game is because sitting in a trench for 2 months enduring hundreds of thousands of artillery shells every day and living in your own piss and shit and sleeping next to piles of dead bodies that have molded with the dirt and participating in charges that create literal walls of dead men would not be a fun game to play.

There's plenty of WWI sims on steam desu.

WE

WUZ

MEMEZ

but there actually were black soldiers in WW1, the french had a bunch of african colonies and they sent all of their blacks to the front lines.

It's irrelevant though because the game failed to capture the spirit of WW1 in literally every single way

Shadow of Mordor

I know, I was just memeing. Trying to keep the thread alive, you know.

Never played it because of the plagarism accusations.

>French
>Battlefield 1
Pick one

So they're making a game about the Great War and it wont have anything to do with the western front, aka the most important front in the entire war?

>I have never payed attention in history class: the post

>Sup Forumstards are still triggered by this
So what was the tipping point for Sup Forumstards becoming worse than SJWs?

While trench warfare dominated the western front it wasn't all static on the eastern and African fronts. Towards the end there was a lot of movement in the west.

That's from Verdun, earlier in the war where trench warfare was the norm and shit was fucked.

BF1 sets itself in 1917-1918, near the end of the war where other nations like America joined in, using the late-war tactics where they saw the trenches as inefficient as fuck and adopted more active strategies.

>I know fuckall about Battlefield 1: The Post

>I have not read thread topic: the post.

For the third time now, this is not a "REEEE BLACK PEOPLE" thread.

but they fail to realize that WW1 battles were sort of napoleonic in nature and involved large groups of soldiers advancing as a unit against clearly-defined lines. Battlefield 1 is just a bunch of retards running in circles spamming automatic weapons just like every other battlefield. There's no "line," there's no clearly-defined zones of engagement in this game when that's the biggest thing about WW1 that makes it so unique.

No matter how "mobile" it got, it never came close to the sort of hectic open free-for-all that I've seen from trailers. There's not that feeling of taking cover in a trench with your buddies and then storming out together for the charge or anything like that, it's just typical chaotic run-around-in-circles battlefield gameplay. They should have done literally everything in their power to design the maps to create this feeling and they didn't even ATTEMPT to push this on the players.

Also trenches were never completely abandoned. Their "more active strategies" were still day and night compared to what I've seen from the game, which looks more like a WW2 game than anything else.

B-b-but it has niggers in it!

>For the third time now, this is not a "REEEE BLACK PEOPLE" thread.
If that wasn't your intent, I am sorry. But your intent means jack shit and you'd need to be actually retarded to believe this thread wouldn't be about MUH BLACK PEOPLE ;_; WHITE GENOCIDE GUYZ

>Thread is about how Battlefield 1 isn't historically accurate at all
>Some user brings up how they left the French out
>Another user criticizes him for it, apparently he didn't know DICE is fucking retarded
>I call him out on it
And here we are now. How is the thread topic relevant?

If you think that or the post you replied to even slightly comes to close to defending the aesthetic that Battlefield 1 portrays you should hang yourself now

Oh shit i misread your post. Apologies. I genuinely believed you thought France wasn't involved in WWI. Again, apologies.

which brings to me to my next question.

Does DICE genuinely believe France wasn't involved in WW1?

I think DICE believes all wars were WWII.

To clarify I mean in the sense that France was taken over by Germany for a while.

You're joking right? France was never taken over by germany in WW1, you're thinking of WW2.

Germany pushed the lines into france sure, but they never "took over" france, the french army fought and held them away from paris the entire war.

I literally said
>I think DICE believes all wars were WWII.
>WWII
But besides that, yeah.
