fuck these fucking gay ass threads. Are you people being retarded on purpose? Is that what this is? It's literally not difficult to comprehend. Calling NMS a multiplayer game is about the same as calling Journey a multiplayer game. Are there multiplayer elements involved? Sure. Does it have a significant impact on the game? Are you running around blowing things up with your friends the whole game? No. It's designed first and foremost as a single player experience, because you're unlikely to see other players. CAN (or will you be able to) you find other players and do things with them? Sure. Which part of that are you incapable of computing?
I'm getting the impression that people thought that this game would be Borderlands 2 with spaceships. Like what the fuck
>you're unlikely to see other players
That's wrong.
You are implying (whether you are aware of it or not) that the probability of seeing other players is not zero. It is zero. Therefore it is NOT unlikely to see other players. It is neither likely nor unlikely to see other players. The probability of seeing other players is zero percent.
That's why I added the "(or will you be able to}".
>Does it have a significant impact on the game
Journey devs themselves said the best way to play Journey is with someone is. So yes there's a significant impact with playing with another person as it's supposed to create a temporary bond with both players.
>CAN (or will you be able to) you find other players and do things with them? Sure.
Is this actually true?
>nms, where you can see the equivalent of "user was here" written on planets
>journey, where you can interact and explore with another player
i know youre getting paid to do this, but dont you get tired of it?
>temporary
yes
you clearly cannot read
Yes, temporary, because the game has an ending. You doofus.
My point is that you can do the same thing in NMS, in theory. We can engage in lying sean memes all we want because they're fun, but multiplayer elements have always been planned. If they're not in right now because of some problem with the server, then so be it. But it is intended to be a part of the game, and to say otherwise is dishonest.
You will NEVER see another player in NMS, whereas you will in Journey. That seems like a pretty big difference
it was intended that minecraft would be a 3d dwarf fortress, but, surprisingly, its fucking not. things change. Multiplayer may have been intended, and could possibly happen in the future (maybe oblivion will get an official multiplayer update tomorrow too!!! :^) ), but it's not in the commercial release.
But the intention is that you CAN. To say you CAN'T is to imply that it's not supposed to be a feature of the game, when they have made it clear that it is supposed to be, current issues getting that working notwithstanding.
>lying sean memes
this isnt some early access game, friend
Stop, just stop. Let's not overheat those brains. Kinda sort of maybe eventually bullshit. Yes or no?
>yes
well, i guess it must be true if you state it and then assert that yes, it is true.
How about posting a source or something m8?
An immersive single player experience but NO multiplayer quit making shit so fucking complicated. There is no MMO interaction with other players. Period. Dead subject. Move the fuck on. Dr Manhatten it is.
>To say you CAN'T is to imply that it's not supposed to be a feature of the game
To say that you can't is to say that you can not, and nothing more. Any intention is NOT implied, it is merely a word observing the current state of your ability to see another player in game. (Presently, you can not see another player in game.)
>current issues getting that working notwithstanding.
Fuck off, they are very fucking withstanding.
but you won't : ^ )
> (Presently, you can not see another player in game.)
Why not?
Explain the fucking stickers
>Why not?
doesn't matter, doesn't change reality.
>Why not?
Incompetence.
...
Yeah but we want to know why. We've already concluded that we can't, but we were told we could. So, why can't we?
it has no multiplayer "elements"
it uploads some text to a server
>experience
That word will be the death of gaming. As in, this isn't a game, it's an experience.
I don't fucking know why, I'm not on the other side of the issue.
This reminds me of the episode of South Park where Kanye West is trying to prove that Kim Kardashian isn't a hobbit, but only proves that she is.
