It is still pretty big, are you blind?
Not like you go outside or anything. I shouldn't expect you to, sorry
I still play when I'm out and about. Hopefully they add more features and get gen 2 out soon.
Rarely saw anyone playing this thing today
Probably because the devs removed the tracking system and every Pokemon gets away too easily
>walk around in Denver
>go to bars
>go to sporting events
>go to parks
>go to other shit where there are tons of people
>haven't seen a single person playing this
Either this isn't as popular as you claim it is, or people are just hiding the fact that they are playing it. I did however see some people playing it near release.
I live in Westminster but pass by/through Denver a lot and man I have also not seen a single fucking soul playing Pokemon Go outside.
The one time was at my cousin's house, one of his friends was fucking around with it on his phone on the couch.
I like that we've had so many cloudy days lately BUT IT NEEDS TO FUCKING RAIN GODDAMMIT
3-Step glitched killed it
Niantic not doing anything didn't help either, and now apparently it's some bullshit where it'll show a pokemon is near, but until someone catches it. It's not known where it is.
Also past level 13 is when you enter bullshit stage mode unless you buy shit.
>how does a fad work
You sound underage
I haven't lived in the area long, but I was told that bad weather doesn't seem to stick around for very long. Am I SOL on a really good storm? Nothing like standing in your driveway watching an average of about 102 lightning strikes per minute heading your way...
do you go around looking at every person's phone to see what they're doing
They really need to add more pokestops and gyms to small towns, it's fucking ridiculous having to drive out 8 miles for the nearest stop out here because Niantic refuses to add anymore and hates non-urban environments.
Removing the tracker killed it. And suburban areas are fucking wastelands. Been out of pokeballs for weeks because there aren't any pokestops here.
>go to uni
>all pokestops are lured
>go to work
>all pokestops at the nearby park are lured
>go to the city
>80% of lures are going off from 7am-9pm
Just because you want it to be over doesn't mean it is
Why are they so barren anyways?
Shit is infuriating and the best thing I've been able to capture out here is a Pidgeot.
>Implying Sup Forums thought it was a fad when it came out
The Rockies kind of make weather a roll of the dice. The mountains just roll storms like a sick slope off to the east very often.
You can generally tell if someone is playing a game on their phone, and Pokemon Go has some telling signs, so there is a decent chance of knowing if they are playing the game even if you don't see their screen. Either way, when I pass by 50 people, and only one person has their phone in their hand, I can guarantee that 49/50 people are not actively playing Pokemon Go in my presence. Unless the game works in some mysterious way that I don't know about.
It has something to do with spawns being tied to cellular data use.
>phone on
>in pocket
>rack up kms for eggs
>phone vibrates when a pokemon shows up
Yeah the game works in ways you don't know about, it doesn't need to be in your hand to work
Live in Philly.
It's still popular as fuck.
Still the fastest downloaded app of all time.
I get you don't like games normies like, but that doesn't mean it's dying.
>walk around for 2 hours in small ass town
>either have literally nothing on my tracker or just Rattatas and Pidgeys
>meanwhile in the city people just sit in their cars and farm Dragonites and shit
that isn't even close to fair
>let's cater to the minority
I hope you never plan on running a buisness
Anyone playing final fantasy brave exdiodus or final fantasy Möbius?
I'm thinking about picking it up and time sink into it.
So the point of the game is to avoid playing the game? Damn it is worse than I thought...
There will be less competition now. I will show you who is the boss of this gym
False.
>I will show you who is the boss of this gym
No. The people using bots will kek
>minority
Are you fucking serious? Do you think there is a 1 to 1 ratio of small town to big city in America or any country in general?
>pass by 50 people and only one person has their phone in their hand
either you're lying or you live in some shit hole where people can't afford smart phones, I walk through the shopping district to get to work and at least 1 in 4 people I pass by are glued to their phones, probably closer to 1/3. Pokemon Go or no, most people on the street can't put their phones away for more than five minutes.
Literally what I do when I'm going somewhere and don't have time to be going off track.
If people are actively hunting for pokemon they're with friends in cars. But what would you know about that
I saw a group of at least 30 people playing it in the rain only yesterday.
>they should cater equally to small towns as they do with cities!
No, that's literally retarded
You can put 6 pokemon on this map.
Where do you put them to please the most amount of people?
What? Where the fuck do you live, man?
Literally any shopping centre where 3g/4g is available
London, Kentucky
I won't lie, this game had died down a lot, (in my area at least).
everywhere, because there isn't a scarcity of digital pikachu, you fucking retard
16 Happy people
Tracking's being slowly brought back. Some people have it back already in full functionality.
Constant fleeing is fixed and the bonus catch rate for curve balls is back.
I rarely see people on their phone when out and about unless they're waiting for something. I'd think this would be a pretty uniform thing amongst people if it were true.
>data is free
You gonna put 700 pikachu on top of mt everest when no one is there?
that's because denver is fucking gay
It had "flavor of the month" written all over it.
Normies are such sheep.
You must live in a shitty neighborhood where phones get stolen
my fucking sides
People are definitely still playing but they aren't necessarily walking around that much. With the shitty lack of tracking your best bet is to camp a lure. Also, when people were catching shit all the time it was way more obvious. Now it's just LOL PIDGEY LOL RATTATA all the time so most people just look like they're staring at their phones or have it in their pocket collecting steps
There is a place in my small ass town with five Pokestops within range of each other. On weekends, there is a group of people who sit on the sidewalk in lawn chairs all afternoon.
>I am the world
The park by my house is still producing traffic after 5.
Disregarding personal experience, is there any way we can track player performance stats ?
You don't have to live in a shit hole for people to not be glued to their phones. Actually, living in a shit hole increases the chances of people being on their phones. People need to escape their reality in those places.
Also, another thing to consider is that Denver is considered one of the fittest cities in the US. You don't stay fit by looking at your phone all day.
Finally, I talked about going to bars, parks, sporting events, and so on. You SHOULD be less likely to be glued to your phone in such locations, so I would be hitting up an area where there is a below average amount of phone usage.
People still play it when they're outside around here. It's just that no one's really making it their sole purpose to go outside in the first place anymore save for the autists.
>implying a single person thought that pokemon go would be a long-lasting game when it came out
>Devs completley ruin the game
>Tracking totally fucked
>All 3rd party fan attempts to fix the problem get shut down
>Hacking and botting in cities is rampant and getting 0 attention
>WOWWWWWWWWWW NORMIES ALREADY LEAVING IT? PSSSH TYPICAL AMIRITE Sup Forums?
Fuck straight off. The devs royally fucked any and all legit players with their incompetence, of course people who dont hack dont wanna play anymore.
An easy way to see if people are playing is to check pokestops for lures. I can confirm my campus is bleeding pink peddles right now
>small ass town
The less you have to do around town, the more likely you are to play something like Pokemon Go. Hell, I would probably be playing the game if I still lived in a small town. Well, at least it was big enough to have a couple of theaters, even if the rooms were small.
Should hay bales stacked on the corner of dirt road and dirt road st. be a pokestop?
Nope.
Pretty normal around here. The most eventful thing that's happened in a long time is a few days ago some mentally fucked dude got out and stabbed the shit out of some other guy in the car in front of him on the highway.
>yesterday announced total revenue of 200 million dollars
>op thinks its over
This cow has yet to bleed
>me and family play this
>park trail loop going to shut down for repavement for 1 month
>go there and the the 6 gyms with me and the family the night before they close
>keep it 1 day
>trail staff puts up baracades and roadblocks
>2 days later 4/6 gyms get taken
I didn't mind spoofers and botters until they fucked with my shit.
>lazy fags will defend pokevision
Can spoofers and botters take gyms? Because if so, they're probably the ones making it fucking possible to make any money in my town.
>Tfw played it for an hour and deleted it, went back to playing Radiant Historia and Fallout New Vegas
>Tfw all my friends that actually play games stopped playing it a day after release
>Only the normies are playing it now
>Can spoofers and botters take gyms?
Are you retarded? Of course they can. Stupid idiot.
Only until they roll out the device bans again
>a game for normies is being played by normies
wew
>Go to university
>The spot where 3 pokestops are close together have lures 24/7 except when shitty weather
>The local WhattApp Pokemon Group is growing every day
>implies its dead
1/10
i really doubt you go outside much. you're describing situations where, from the logical perspective of a calm and smart Sup Forums poster, people shouldn't be on their phones, but if you actually go out and do those things, you find people on their phones all the damn time.
You SHOULD be less likely to use your phone when your at the bar or dog park or Dunkin Donuts or whatever, but some people have to check Facebook or text the girl they like or shitpost on Sup Forums literally all the god damn time.
I've never been to Denver so I don't know if every single person there is a hardcore a fitness enthusiast who jogs five miles a day and only uses their phones for calorie counting or during the allotted break times, but I'm going to guess it's not that different from everywhere else.
pretty shitty game
but i got to meet people.
the thing that killed it for me was the design combat.
should had been turned based
You can thank your developers for destroying the ""game""
I lost interest after not being able to play for a week. It would need a lot of changes to become tolerable.
>Live outside of town
>No pokestops around
>Barely any pokemon around either
>Luckily I live on one of the places where they sometimes spawn
>Out of pokeballs
xd
game already fixed faggot, new tracker is better than before
>added grass that doesn't mean anything
>Game about going places
>don't go places
>this game is SHIT
>hype finally dies down
>housemates begin playing at that point
>won't shut up about it
I can't escape it
>Go out and walk around
>Walk for literally 8 kilometers
>See maybe 3 pokemon and 0 stops
Do you live on an 8km island?
go to the city
>Just go to the city!
epic, simply epic.
I hope you realize not everyone lives just outside the city
What town do you live in and where? Have you chcked the ingress map to see what would be pokestops near you?
>I'm going to guess it's not that different from everywhere else.
You don't have to go to extremes to see that places are actually quite different in their attitudes/hobbies. Look at craigslist for different areas and you can actually see this. Without counting I can say I've lived in at least over 20 different "cities".
>i really doubt you go outside much
Ever since moving near my extroverted sister, I've been out of my house more than I normally would have been. It's hard to say no, but I'm certainly not complaining since they always pay for everything I do.
>tracking
How?
or you could just check the map directly
pokemongomap.info
>lying this blatantly
why?
Torontofag here, shits still wild, especially during the night at the harborfront.
...
>catering to more people than you were before, without impacting the majority, is bad business practice
If you haven't realized catering to the most people possible is how all large businesses operate.
That said rurals are subhuman and should be actively excluded from anything possible.
I wanted to play it so bad but it's not compatible with my shit phone and even if it were, I got a cheap data plan and I don't want to have a huge phone bill. My little sister who won't stop saying pokemon games are for kids and tells me to stop playing video games all the time is playing pkmn go all the time though. It shouldn't piss me off but it does.
About half the country lives in suburban or rural areas. Not everyone lives in LA or New York paco
I live in fucking New Hampshire and people were going nuts in my town. Just today all four gyms (at least the ones I know of) were getting constantly raided. As soon as one was taken by one team, fighting would start again and it'd get taken by another. Fucking chaos.
>Sup Forums keeps making this thread despite Pokemon Go still being insanely popular
why are you fags so desperate for everything to fail?
Well shits I live in a foken village n git no pokemans till i git to a nearby town.
Misery loves company.
makes me fucking laugh when my roommate bought external charger etc for this and and it died so quickly, even he doesn't play it anymore
>Walk 5km to the nearest grocery store which is the only place with a stop
>Spin it on the way in and on the way out
>Get 6 pokeballs total
>Spend the 6 pokeballs to catch a pidgey
This game is a perfect example of
>not having a fucking gameplay loop does to your game
>not learning from your own previous success
Ingress had a atleast marginally compelling loop and organic gameplay. Co-operative gameplay with friends enhanced the experience greatly. None of this is present in Pokemon Go.
The best thing about Pokemon Go, where you would set a goal by seeing a Pokemon on Pokevision and telling yourself "I want that Onix, specifically" and then running over to grab it... They shut down.
Niantic dug their own grave and I am not the least bit sympathetic.
Worst thing that's happened to the game is Niantic says it's a bug that shit's harder than ever to catch, but they still haven't done anything about it.
It has been like this for 2 weeks or so. Fucking weedles, caterpies and pidgeys jump out 10 times in a row and then proceed to run away
>live in city
>drowning in pokeballs
>pokemon everywhere, nearby pokemon map is always full with 9 mon's
>regularly spawn 2-3 pokemon at a time when opening my phone
>visit my parents house
>in a town, not a small town by any means but it's not a city
>20,000 people live here
>nearby pokemon indicator only ever showed 1-2 pokemon
>literally saw one Pokemon pop up all weekend
>it was a caterpie
Isn't there supposed to be more wildlife outside of the city or something? I don't get this
Are you pretending people aren't still playing and talking about it? Really?
>I don't see threads on Sup Forums, hence it's dead!
Goddamn, internet turly makes people stupid.
The game is incredibly skewed towards people living in cities
If you go outside of the cities, there are barely any gyms or pokestops, and less pokemon spawns as well. You won't find more rare pokemon than what you would in the city either.
What I hate the most is that there are spots that COULD be pokestops or gyms, but Niantic is so fucking lazy they just copypasted from their Ingress data. Like, there are pokestops here that are supposed to be statues/sculptures that aren't even there anymore
I really like playing when I'm in town but I live in the suburbs and there isn't much here.
