> Climb up the tower for the first time
> This fucker leaps up
Shit was god damn intense, way more memorable than fighting along the wall. Granted I guess circling him and rolling made it easier to dodge maybe...?

I was stuck in him for like 3 fucking hours and just said screw it. If I'm not enjoying myself, I'm not going to keep playing. He kills you in practically one hit, and the timing for the plunging attack is absurdly strict and sometimes he can actually attack you even when you're on the roof. Then when you die, it's another 20 minute trek back to the boss. Just stupid..

it's only 20 minutes if you decide to fight everything on the way back

That's not the Capra demon

>couldn't even get past taurus demon
ayy

>Not Capra Demon

what are you even on about

>your pasta from years ago is still getting posted

Feels good

>fight him once and die
>go up for second attempt
>goes straight off the edge after an attack

It wasn't very difficult.

I've been gamin' since '86 and DARK SOULS is the hardest game I've ever played.

>watched the trailer
>instantly knew what to do when this fight happened and beat it on first try
>havent died to it a single time ever
Thanks videogame trailers.

Killed this guy on my first try and I didn't even know he was behind that fog wall, and I suck at this game. Just kill the dogs and plunge attack.

>optional fight
>a filter

The easily available gold pine resin makes him a joke for any weapon.

By that logic Taurus Demon is also optional

I actually just wrote that myself. Maybe you wrote something similar. But that was completely my own

...

My friend ACTUALLY quit playing at the Taurus Demon.

It's one of the only two bosses in the game that require raw skill at the game to beat, no weapon upgrading or stats required. And he couldn't beat it.

that jump happened to me after I came by him a few times already and thought I knew all his tricks.

...

Enjoy your shitty weapons and upgrade paths.

Literally the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life

>raw skill
>when there's a ladder/falling jump you can do over and over again.

Such skill.

Pretty much the reason I uninstalled it. I'm totally fine with spending an entire afternoon trying to beat a single boss, but if I don't respawn right next to it after I die, then I'm not gonna bother. There's no fucking way that I'll waste so much time after every death just get to the good part.

Reinforced club nigga
Plunging attack on him twice and he's toast

What? He literally killed himself by jumping off the bridge withing a few seconds of seeing me

It took me like 8 tries to notice that you could go up the tower and kill the crossbow hollows.
I also never thought about trying a plunging attack. Took me like 30 tries total.

You can literally get to him from the bonfire in under a minute.

what code?

%%sauce%%

Yeah, and they couldn't even fucking use that.

The taurus demon isn't a skill based boss fight anymore than Ceaseless Discharge. If there's a cheap way to kill it at all, the fight takes no skill.

Taurus is easy as fuck. So is Capra, because you can fall jump on him too.

I walked in on the Capra Demon by accident and it caught me off guard. Still beat him in one go. Overrated just like everything else in that game.

...

My favorite scrub bully.

Gargoyles or Capra are way more of a casual filter

Gargoyles for the casuals that can't learn to deal with a 2 on 1
Capra for all the fags that can't adapt to the arena and the quick start and just go 'this is literally impossible' (even though it's an easy as shit fight if you just live through the start and don't try to block that 2-handed smash)

I literally just 2H my sword and hacked away at him constantly while chugging whenever my health got low.

Beat him like 2nd or 3rd try.

Undead Burg in general is a huge casual filter...I wonder how many fags quit because they weren't good enough to beat twinks

No he isn't though, Capra demon is literally optional to progress

Too late to be the casual filter, that would be Abyss Watchers

He's more like the 2nd wave casual filter, like O&S

...

Taurus Demon is also literally optional you idiot

arguably even more optional than Capra because at least he gives you access to upgrading your weapons

Taurus gives you nothing basically

and you need Master Key for both of them to be optional

I love how people make this threads pretending that all the posts aren't going to be Souls related.

Just fucking make the thread title something like "What boss gave you more trouble" or fucking anything.

He's easier if you don't plunge.

I didn't even realize plunging was an option until I saw it in some fanart of this fight. Made me go "FUCK OF COURSE" but when I tried it, wasn't nearly as fun as rolling/strafing.

This.

But Ornstein & Smough was literally only hard because the camera was garbage. It's artificial difficulty.

>abyss watchers
>casual filter
Lmao casual bosses that are piss easy can't be casual filters you idiot

Why would you skip bosses?
Are you both retarded?

OPUD-143

...

The bosses are easily the worst part of dark souls

I wouldn't

just saying that you can you cuck

If you've got that far then there's no turning back. The only thing that makes him difficult is his vast move set and weird swing timing. I guess the entire game had this strange thing going on where enemies would pull back their weapon to swing, hold it there for a moment, then instantly hit you. Took me a couple tries to learn the moveset and get the timing down, which felt sort of cheap because ultimately the whole fight just came down to knowledge. I beat it as soon as I got to the second phase, which was pretty disappointing because when he splits he turns into a total pushover and when the clone is dead he just keeps trying to summon it again.

Every area in Dark Souls is a fucking uninteresting chore specially past O&S.
Without the bosses the entire saga would be even worse that it is already.

You mean capra right?

Only if you have the master key, gaping dragon and capra demon are optional just by taking a different route.

why are this retards even on Sup Forums oh my god

>Casual filter
>Posts easy as fuck boss

>scat

fuck

There are no hard bosses in your second and next runs, only boring and slow areas.

And the bosses on the DLC are a fucking joke aswell because poise is so retarded that you can facetank artorias and manus while shitting damage with your sunlight blade.

>souls shit
>hard

nice opinion

Why do you play games you don't like?

>second run
He was easy the first time I fought him. Didn't die once, all you have to do is roll behind him. I didn't even know you could kill the archers.

I really wish this "Dark souls is so ebin hard meme, would die"

This desu. Souls isn't hard.
They're fun games and something that's fun to do isn't hard, you're just enjoying yourself until you succeed. That's no grueling task.

>abyss watchers
>killing anybody ever
both comical and pathetic

Thanks

underrated post

Post your hardest thing you've done in gaming or GTFO

I like the game but for very different reasons.
The combat system is clean and lets you be as creative as you want with how do you react.
The soundtrack is really nice and gets more epic the more you progress.
The artstyle is nice, etc.

The game is very good but not as good as people here claim it to be. If a game stops being a challenge the first time you beat it and you have to find ways to play it like "TIE YOUR LEFT HAND TO YOUR BACK WHILE YOU JUGGLE ORANGES WITH YOUR FEET CHALLENGE" its a blatant sign of a game not being up to its name.

Check the achievements completion percentage. There is a big gap between the % of people that beat Sully and those who beat Wolnir (previous boss for most players)
He's probably the biggest difficulty spike in the game.

a friend of mine actually said "this is fucking impossible cheap bullshit" when fighting them for the first time, and warned me "the next boss is fucking cheap"
I beat it on my 2nd try, and it ended up being one of my favorite bosses
he also summoned me for both abyss watchers and sulyvahn, even though he had over 500 hours combined in souls games

This fucker gave me so much trouvle, eve though I did the plunging attacks

Now I flick him away like a fly. I have no idea why I struggled with him at first.

Not saying I'm a Souls expert and Souls games can't be frustrating. Gwyn got me a bunch because my parrying isn't the best. But to call the games hard is an overstatement.

this nigger is the gatekeeper of the DLC

>OPUD-143
>School Gang Scat Bullying Gabgbang

Bushido Blade 100 men in a row, any of the classic mega man games before 6, forcing myself to beat FF XIII-2.

I don't understand why people need to think DS is so hard, it's still a fun game. You don't need to live in the Sup Forums mindset where if you don't play the hardest games you're not "hardcore" Dark Souls is just a little above average difficulty. I think people just aren't used to any sort of challenge anymore so they memed it to hell

i still cant get past that time nigger

...

...

>Got BKS to drop in the Burg
>Grinded a little bit to use it properly
>Falling attack with it one-shot the fucker

Maximum kek.

>tfw stuck on Taurus demon for 2 hours
>tfw uninstalled the game AFTER beating him because it was boring to die and then try again multiple times

>buy club
>use gold pine resin
>????
>win

What games do you play where the challenge remains consistent after you've beaten it the first time? O&S still give me a rough time, 4Kings and Sif are always challenging.

With Dark Souls it seems to be less that the game is challenging and more that you have to learn how to play it. If you take the time at the beginning to figure out how rolling works then you can blow past everything, but that isn't a fault in my opinion, it just means the game has more depth to it. Like playing through the game again with a different weapon can make it more challenging because you have to adapt your play style which is pretty typical for any rpg.

>Casual filter
>not the first Demon

>Sif
>Challenging

Pinwheel took you a while too, right?

Fuck this faggot

That's actually a fake sauce I gave you. But the video is pretty hot and my pornfu is in it.

From my experience:

>Dex/Int run
>Everything one shots me
>I kill some bosses with ease others take a while
>PvP is mediocre

>Paladin run
>str/fai/end/vit
>Iron Golem set
>+15 Greatsword
>Sunlight Blade
>Stagger every boss to death while being utterly hard to kill
>PvP
>Tranquil walk of peace+Wrath of the Gods
>Literally win 9 invasions in a row against 2-3 ganksquads

The game is only hard if you want it to be hard.
The balance is so poorly optimized that you can facetank most bosses with heavy armor while having a dex build and shitting out damage.
Or use a chaos weapon and literally go full havel with 19 lifebars.

They're not hard without their backup. I thought this was supposed to be an honorable fight.

Mega Man games are much easier than Souls games. Do you mean something actually difficult like beating them without dying or buster shot only? Because if you just mean beating it.... lol

Then post the real one faggot please

but i don't know it

Probably ninja gaiden 2 on master ninja difficulty. In souls you can move at your own pace, and it never makes you do anything truly insane. I think hardest fight in soulsborne is the ptumerian descendant in BB, specifically if you encounter in the 2-tier stairs room in a depth 5 max curse dungeon. Excluding that I would say either Fume Knight or Laurence on NG+ or beyond.

...

Not him but Mega Man 1 is much harder than Dark Souls.

Any metroidvania is harder than dark souls, hence why salt and sanctuary is also harder.
Your options are limited not like in a 3D world.

The game basicly tells you to use lightning resin. And it's obvious that you can roll between his legs.
More like a retard filter.

I died a lot more in mega man games than dark souls. And I had harder times on bosses and that's after replaying them recently. I don't know what else could be used to judge hardness.

If anything, you're encouraged to skip Taurus.

Since that leaves the area open to pvp for stomping on le soul level 1 red invaders who are trying to roll over new characters
