Their parent company gutted them and most of the talent from NISA is gone so I wouldn't expect Disgaea either. Dev hell Witch still failed to turn profit after ps4's re-release too so I'm not sure what they'll do to stay relevant in the Western market.
Weeaboos who refuse to import and learn Japanese and porting up old games to PC, PS4 and Vita I guess. Maybe supporting the new supposed handheld as well. Not sure how long they can hold out to generate new talent, but I guess we'll see.

NIS is made up of several small development studio holdings, and the disgaea team was one of those, in an effort to cut costs in a scummy way, NIS dissolved the studio and tried to roll them back into their main office, but because they "Technically" weren't working at the same place they use to, they weren't offered any tenure and were being told to take entry level wages, a huge portion of the team told them to fuck off and then Compile Heart ended up hiring the majority of them and proceeded to make Trillion with them.
