Thanks user
This sure brings back a lot of memories, now I want to play this gem again.
reminder that giving money to him did nothing
Huomenta
Best HM waifu. Bought it on launch for her.
Wow, that was a long time ago.
What the fuck, really? I always thought he'd get rich or some shit.
>12 or 13 years old
>get to year two in chapter three
>start second file on my memory card to try marrying someone else
>accidentally save over main file
>turn off gamecube in a panic
>both files gone
And I haven't played AWL since

>You'll never go back to roaming your farm, watching the day go by, and wondering what other townsfolk are doing and what events could be happening all while listening to this music ever again
>You'll never tell Van he's not fat ever again
It always felt like so much could be happening at any moment in this game. Even though, usually nothing did, it was fun when something DID.
I was in fucking love with Celia, but too sad she is the default choice of the game if you don't engage with someone, felts like there isn't much effort in trying to marrying her.
>Best girl was ps2 exclusive
Man AWL was fucking weird
How's the ps2 version? I heard it had more stuff and it was more like an expansion of the game.
I thought I heard something about the PS2 version running worse than the GC
Ha, wish my 12/13-year old ass knew that. I feel like I spent weeks playing that game giving her as many gifts as I could.
>you play a game where everyone around you grows older and you eventually die
Holy shit I've never had a game go from so enjoyable to so fucking terrifying. That was a good summer but I don't think I'll ever play AWL again.
He scared me desu and the fact this one runs very slowly on my PS2 bugs me out. It is the only game with slow everything while my other games work well.
>mfw the old lady died and the old man was never the same
What did your son grow up to do, Sup Forums?
Rancher here, I married Celia.
it fucking pissed me off that they designed this game to be open world
the ps2 couldnt handle the game because its going to fucking try rendering an entire fuckhuge village instead of small section of it
and because of it being one huge area
it takes FOREVER to get somewhere
and the fps drops make it even go slower
fucking why
Because it was designed as a gamecube game, then ported over to PS2, which was weaker hardware.
It's like all the shitty PC ports we get now. It just wasn't originally meant for it. Except PC ports are an even worse example because seriously the hardware difference is nowhere near similar.
Anyway, see: RE4 GC vs RE4 PS2.
Forget Me Not Valley is so comfy. The game is just really beautiful and charming.
not to mention the game runs slow as tits anyway.
I heard it was shit
That's basically what I heard
How did the road to Mineral Town look in PS2 version?
I never went to Mineral Town because I didnt have the GBA game but I always imagined what was across that roadway.
Terve
Holy shit, that looks like it was terrible to play. The extra content is not worth dealing with that.
>tfw Harvest Moon is nothing like it once was, it's all bigheaded cuteshit now
I miss it, I know Story of Seasons is basically it now, but the name "Harvest Moon" was a bit more charming.
i dont think better hardware wouldve saved me from hating it being open world
i liked when it had sections
I can understand that. Personally, though, the "open" world part of it is one of the fonder memories I have of it. But I could see myself not being able to stand it if the loading times were that bad.
Any game where you can date the really buff shipping guy?
>give him stuff
>receive nothing in return
>he starts stealing food from my storage
Fuck off.
>yfw had a Star Cow
It runs like shit, which is a shame because the extra content is super worth it.
But the framerate being poor actually makes the game super unpleasing to play at parts.
Actually, giving him stuff made him STOP stealing your food if I remember.
Your dog could stop him to, I think.
But emulation nullifies that, right?
You fags will argue over anything.
Niggas choose floppy ears, niggers choose the wannabe wolf.
Pointy.
No one can argue otherwise.
pointy ears
No.
>Harvest Moon
>Ever not bigheaded cuteshit
Granted there's a lot of things I don't like about modern Harvest Moon, and I don't really play it anymore, but it's always been moeshit.
Floppy a cute! Cute!
...
>rent pic related from a Hollywood video all the time
>first harvest moon experience
>figured it was wierd you only played as a girl
>years later find out this was the girl version and there was also a boy version
>the rental display case had the boxart for the male version every time I rented it
>always end up being given the the girl version by the register person
Fuck
>tfw chose the dog that looked like my dog at the time and even named him the same
>play the save years later
don't look at me like that
...
Goddammit, no matter what i gave him, he never cheered up. Wtf.
Never finished this one, it was so long and there wasn't much to do. I really like it though, but it's pretty depressing in a way.
who is that on the right? is that the rich girl? you can fug her?
How the fuck does nearly everyone in this game outlive you? There are people with like 40 years on the MC.
So I married Nami? The redhead in the game and through our child growing up felt like this really wasn't what she wanted for her life and it seems like she got held back. Did anyone else get this feeling? Remember this really depressed me so I started over.
Only in the PS2 version. She can give you a daughter instead of a son, too.
