Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
I have no Mouth and I must Scream
anyone else think space engine can get pretty unnerving? Especially those black holes. Imagine if he hid a screamer somewhere in there
Imagine finding a planet near black hole, located just close enough that the black hole is clearly visible in the sky but far enough not to be in its event horizon. Imagine living on that planet, and every single morning seeing that gaping cosmic terror just hanging there.
some science guy is gonna ruin this somehow but that's a pretty coolterrifying concept
Sunless Sea
If you can see a black hole with normal vision or even a cheap telescope, you'd already be fucking dead.
i hope it's not this
Bloodborne.
>seeing black holes
You just went full retard my man.
>Being afriad of black holes
Gay. I bet you think snakes and deep water are scary, too.
Most black holes are deadly far beyond their event horizon
I didn't know ito made Gradius/Nemesis fanfic.
Stasis
also, while not really Lovecraftian, Desolate Hope is sp00ky as fuck for me.
>Niku could be the new 9th planet
Plutofags on suicide watch
it's not fanfic mate it's a legit story of his
>mystery object behind Neptune
Not really. They're just stars that have collapsed on themselves.
>a black hole in on the edge of our solar system would stretch and warp light and matter
>a black hole around jupiter would strip the atmosphere from earth
>if it got closer, it would pull your organs inside out and rip you to pieces
hey that game looks promising to me
ill check it out
reminds me of sanitarium because of the perspective
A small black whole could tear your body into shreds from thousands of miles away.
>thousands
Do you have any idea the scale that things occur in space?
Considering how small black holes actually are, it's an impressive distance.
If you can see a blackhole you already too close
There's a system in X: Rebirth like this.
If black holes are so dangerous then how did Matthew McConaughey survive going into one and came out of it fine?
did they ever fix that game
What happens to your body once it reaches the event horizon? I've heard you get stretched while others say you get torn apart
Not really.
desu you're all idiots
it's possible for planet to orbit a black hole if black hole was big enough for planet to orbit without tidal forces ripping the planet apart
if photon sphere of the black hole was big enough too the planet would even have light
stop talking about black holes
black holes are equivalent to talking aboot god and religion
just like no one can prove the existence of god so to can no one prove the existence of black holes since no one can get close enough to even see it, making it impossible to ever produce tangible evidence of their existence
talk instead aboot wtf that thing is in OP and post games where giant shit comes out of the ocean (of stars) to terrorize earth
those are both the same kind of... You get torn apart pretty evenly, instead of it being like 2 things grabbing you, every atom in your body is being pulled apart. They call it spaghettification.
you may also like Moon, op.
...
because that movie was really dumb
To be fair you'd be long dead before you were ripped to shreds.
I don't even want to know what that looks like.
pluto?
Because it was manufactured by future humans or something.
Depends on the black hole. A small black hole will tear you to pieces before you even reach the event horizon. A large black hole will take until you've nearly reached the center for you to start coming apart.
You sound like a woman
"What actually transpires beneath the veil of an event horizon? Decent people shouldn't think too much about that."
-- Academician Prokhor Zakharov, "For I Have Tasted The Fruit"
I've heard also that if you can live long enough past the event horizon, time dilation from the gravity will be so strong that if you looked back up out past the black hole, time would speed up such that you could witness the end of the universe.
Niku is doing a Reverse orbit
Given that this is unheard of in nature amd how small it is (200 km diameter), niku is certainly alien technology
No it wouldn't. Black holes are friendly creatures. Being afriad of them is like being afriad of the dark. You're scared of the unknown.
Wait, if a black hole warps space and light, and it's known to make objects look frozen in time from an observer's perspective, then what would it feel like being sucked in to a black hole? Would time stop for the person being sucked in? Would everything look frozen from their perspective and it feels like getting sucked in and torn apart would feel like taking millions of years?
>black hole
>visible
Holy fucking shit. Do you literally have down syndrome?
Stellaris got some events like those. Some are cool and other are freaky. Like your science ship crew kilklign each other due to brain parasites.
Then the next system over you found a box who is full of alien fart.
does no mans sky have black holes and other space shit apart from just planets, moons and suns?
i'm guessing no
>what it going on
Black holes are visible as rings, basically
yes, there is a point beyond which light cannot escape and everything within that is just black, but there is a portion of it that is visible and produces light
Time is relative. All of your experiences would stay the same. However, because of that time will speed up for you relative to the rest of the universe. We don't exactly know what happens then, but we think this could happen
I'm pretty sure it has black holes and you can use them to warp further to the center. Or something like that.
Does Elite:Dangerous actually visualize Black Holes faithfully? You can't see fuck all until it's to late and you can only guess where it is due blurs if you look at it.
...
Black holes have an aura of light
Its probably quite beautiful
>its REALITY thats wrong
>NOT our precious model
it depends on how fast you're moving into the black hole and how strong the black hole is
if you're moving slowly, the gravity difference between the top and bottom of your body is great enough that it just rips you into pieces
if you're moving quickly it instead stretches you out until you're literally just a string of atoms
BUILD THE WALL
KEEP THE ''BLACK''HOLES OUT
Not really, they look like the old space engine black holes. Just distortions in space.
If you want great black holes, space engines new ones are neat.
How do you think they discover them in the first place retard?
>blackholes
>real
KEK
You would not be able to live in such a planet dumb fuck. Gravitation 101.
If humanity someday even go spacefaring
A random autist will throw themselves in a black hole
A shame I will not be here to lose my sides
Imagine being on a planet inside the black hole but outside its event horizon.
There should be a horror game about going into a black hole, although theyd have to make up some science shit to explain how you survived the process
From your own perspective time would seem totally normal. Your own time always seems normal to you, you can only perceive differences between your own time and other times. Also, you'd be dead for thousands of other reasons before the black hole's gravity tore you apart anyway.
From an outside perspective, you would appear to be moving slower the closer you got to the center, and you would literally never reach the center because time theoretically approaches a complete stop at the singularity.
If a black hole condenses atoms into a extremely dense point of matter, then dos that mean black holes are charging up matter for a big bang explosion of new creation?
Is this how the universe procreates? From shoving things in black holes?
image putting your dick in a black hole and then cumming into another dimension
ITT; Everyone is a scientist who thinks they know shit about black holes and universe in general. They unironically post how they are smart and they lurk Sup Forums board.
Top. Kek.
>One day man will be able to shitpost in space
the thread literally about lovecraftian horror, it doesn't matter if they're real or not its fun to talk about them
I can't get over how space engine is made by just one guy.
>reply to this signal or you mother will die tonight
really makes you think
>inside a black hole
I dont need to imagine already did that with your mom.
>I hate smart people
holy shit new version thanks for the heads up phamy
b-but bill! the science guy told me this! i never doubt what scientists say no matter how stupid it is! unlike those religious sheeple...
There's a british documentary called Horizon: Who's Afraid Of A Big Black Hole which covers how they were able to prove the existence of black holes. You should watch it, it's fascinating stuff. Also kind of existentially terrifying.
Heard that if you enter a black hole you get transported to a fantasy 2d world
Do you actually think the Black Hole is actually a hole?
>tfw to intelligent to black hole
clickbait title. the objects are very well explained, what we don't know currently is how they went into their current orbits (they orbit neptune almost orthonogally to its rings)
Stop being a pussy. This is like being afraid of deep sea threads.
>british
>smart people
>good teeth
>good food
Pick one
The guy is total bro tier, does it all for passion
No problem senpai, have fun.
They observed its effects, not the hole itself.
youtube.com
Only watch if you want to feel true fear
This was probably the most bland FPS I've ever played. Total waste of money, but a disappointing one.
whenever a brit is part of the VA cast you KNOW at least their part will be well played AND well written
Shit that's a cool system. What is its name?
user, i am your father when i came into the black hole the semen traveled back in time to enter your mothers womb, i am black. You are my inter-dimension parallel universe timeline cuckold baby.
