Because most people in Overwatch are shit, and you have to know how to aim to do well with her.

Because she requires aiming and just doesn't have the straight up utility of lucio and genji.

She really needs a reinhardt or genji to truly shine and it's a fairly easy ult to counter.

She's got a great kit but if you want damage from a support you get a zenny, if you want taxi service, the best initiator ult, and just solid healing all around you get a lucio. And if you want the best support combo you want both.

She just can't break that meta support combo.

More than two supports is suicide. Lucio is mandatory for his group heal and speed boost. Zenyatta is worth picking for the discord orb alone.

She isn't bad, she's just squeezed out by Lucio and Zenyatta.

Because discord orb is fucking insane. Not to mention that Zenyatta can toss a solid and guaranteed heal on someone from across the map and then keep applying discord and attacking. I'd also say Zen's ult is better because it effectively makes your team invulnerable to anything other than Deadeye/discord headshots, a great Widow, or a really coordinated Genji/Zen combo. Granted, Ana could actually just straightup counter Zen's ult but it's irrelevant because discord orb is too fucking good to swap out for Ana.

Then why are pros with amazing aim still not playing her?

It would be very interesting if Zenyatta went back to 150 health. Ana is already great at shutting down supports, if she could two-shot Zenyatta she'd be even better.

Because Lucio / Zenyatta are literally too strong not to pick. She's not bad, she's pretty good, but she's not as good as they are.

Your Genji and McCree are gonna be killing the entire team, you don't need someone to try and do that less effectively.

You need someone to keep everyone topped off and alive so your tanks can tank so your Genji and McCree can kill the entire team.

They do play her though, just not in tournaments where Lucio and Zen reign because of how broken they are.

Zenyatta was more squishy before, and Mercy's ult was game-breaking.

Now that teams can't fully rez every thirty seconds Mercy is revealed as a pretty shit healer, and Zenyatta takes her spot as a must-pick.

There are only two support slots on a team of six so the best two will rise to the surface of the meta and be pretty much mandatory for every game.

The change is that Zenyatta doesn't get skullfucked instantly so he can actually stay in LoS of the orb

Instant Discord Orb was a MASSIVE buff. Same with instant Harmony.

If you actually played Zenyatta before you'd know that his orb could take up to 1 second to reach a target, now he can just throw it wherever and it instantly applies the effect. That's huge.

And that's not counting the health and ult buff they also gave him, along with buffing his Alt-Fire to be slightly useful instead of worthless.

Mercy needs a shot in the arm if she's ever going to be picked again, and I don't think it's going to be enough just to nerf Zenyatta's discord orb.

She's made out as a dedicated healer and must put away her weapon and stop her damage boost in order to do any healing, yet she's the worst healer out of the lot.

Lucio can heal whole groups. Zenyatta can fire and forget his harmony orb and it works at long range. Ana can beat her at burst healing and can do it at any range. Mercy must tether herself to her patient at close range with a big glowing yellow 'shoot me' beam marking her position.

If she's going to be a dedicated healer she should outheal the others by a large margin. Double her healing rate to 100hp/s. Then, at least teams have a choice between Mercy's OP heals and Zenyattas poorer heals but better utility.

I think if they gave her heal and possibly the damage boost a small aoe around whoever she's healing would make it pretty good. Would encourage people to group up.

Her heal and dmg boost are too weak and expose her to fire moreso than any other healer.
She has the worst survivability, especially at higher levels of play where guardian angel is just 'become a gigantic target moving in a straight line'

she needs buffs to nearly every part of her kit.

Heres how you fix mercy. Increase the range of the beam by 1.5x

Any allies who walk through the beam are healed. Any enemies who touch the beam are given a damage done reduction of 10%

Her loadout requires skill from the user AND their teammates to be successful.

Depending on others in this game is a living fucking nightmare and is to be avoided at all costs.

No shit, dumbass. Problem is that Zen was killed by a stiff fucking breeze before and his ult was far less useful since he had to be already next to people. Not to mention that the projectile speed is actually a pretty solid buff for it since there's no delay on applying it and you can switch targets almost instantly.

the problem i have with her is scoping, it's rarely worth doing since you move so slow and unscope when you jump, it just makes you an easy target.

Plz blizzard, zenyatta is actually fun to play as a support. Why aren't you also looking at Lucio whose been a top pick since day 1?
