Do people still play this?

Do people still play this?

Also why the fuck do Kana's 3 word songs keep missing? I try targeting the knockback stun and the wave moves in a completely different direction.

>Do people still play this?
No

got to that island at the end and got raped by petrifying wraiths, turns out i didnt do enough side quests and its impossible for me to continue or leave the island

pretty fun game though, favorite part was sacrificing the manlet druid dude to some pool of blood

>Do people still play this?
yes i do
fuck off to rpg codex you jaded piece of shit
>Also why the fuck do Kana's 3 word songs keep missing?
his dex is not very high, i suggest using him for buffs and summons only

Ree spoilers

I might be jaded but i know dex doesn't affect accuracy

>fuck off to rpg codex you jaded piece of shit
My, aren't we touchy today.

I want to like the game but Sawyer's no fun allowed mechanics really put me off.

is this game better than dragon age origins?

calm down this imbecile is talking about optional content

No.

use Kana to summon shit, his summons are far more reliable than himself

yes

no

No.

yes

I'm getting mixed singles, so I'l assume its worth playing, dragon age 2 was a big let down.

by a mile

yeah

Have not finished it, but it's pretty good game, I wonder how Tyranny will turn out.

Currently running through with an offensive Pally.
Holy shit I cannot stop critting why is this happening

why do you think i was talking about acc you cunt? kama is slow a fuck and aloth is way more efficient in crowd control than him

>I wonder how Tyranny will turn out.
it's made by a diffrent team

DA:O has better dialog (in options and what is written), lore and much more fun gameplay. Better yet you can mod DA:O to make it even better.

>DA:O has better dialog (in options and what is written), lore
ok, no

>just chatting with a MOTHERFUCKING GOD about how I killed a dragon
>this bitch starts saying shit like this
So we can all agree that she is the worst character by far.

>Also why the fuck do Kana's 3 word songs keep missing? I try targeting the knockback stun and the wave moves in a completely different direction.

Are you facing the cone correctly?

In any case hits are based rolls. The higher the accuracy the better your odds are of overcoming their defenses

I tend to carry a priest and paladin just to boost accuracy every fight since they have skills to increase it. Priest has spells that do it and their starting ability that can be upgraded which stacks with accuracy spells and the paladin has a passive that does it for the entire party plus if you chose the Darcozzi Paladin thing at character creator they get a per encounter ability later (Liberating Exhortation) gives +10 accuracy to a party member

It does.

>why do they keep missing?
>his dex is not very high

>paladin questioning a god
what the fuck

this is what popamole bioware enthusiast actually belive

dont you dare speak like that about my bird-girl waifu

how smooth would those feathers be when you run your fingers through them?

because you said so? fuck off

Better story and characters, but I enjoyed the fighting less than dragon age

And it's not because you say so? fuck off. Pillars is nothing but walls upon walls of useless text. In conversations nothing you choose fucking matters ever. It's garbage.

Doesn't Liberating Exhortation just remove binds? Or did I not read that right?

She's fucking shit. She's the worst paladin ever. She even complains about her orders and wants to do the exact opposite.

>he doesn't like wikipedia npc and oppressed lesbian wizard

>In conversations nothing you choose fucking matters ever
oh so you're just shitposting without even playing tha game
got it

I'm not a fanboy to any company you fucking tool. I enjoy rpgs and try whichever ones are out. Pillars was boring and tedious. It's in the same line as Sword coast legends but with admittedly better characters.

1/10

Does PoE run like shit for anyone else?

>970, 3570k
>frequently drops to 30fps

I played the game and he's right. While it is super predictable and formulaic in dragon age, at least it does have an outcome and matters

Ah right my bad.

Liberating Exhortation is the first tier. Then you can upgrade it further to Inspiring Liberation during later levels if you have Darcozzi Paladin. Then again I play based on maxing out accuracy so people might not want to waste 2 skills on those. But since it's per encounter and is super useful on isolating debuffs for a long ass time + giving 10 accuracy at the same time with both, I like it.

>While it is super predictable and formulaic in dragon age, at least it does have an outcome and matters
because you die at the end? I bet you also enjoyed dragon age 2 and fallout 4

Yep. Especially in combat. At least sweetfx doesn't make the performance worse.

she's a disillusioned paladin. it's an interesting subject matter although I will agree that she really didn't get any satisfying arc. I was expecting her story to get some resolution which never really happened (its been awhile since I played, tho). That's kind of the entire game's story in a nutshell though; lots of great, interesting setups and then really no payoff or conclusions to be had, save for maybe Edir and GM

that's probably a unity thing

>1070
>i7 6600
>8 gigs of ram

Getting 40 fps...

What the fuck are you talking about

DA:O has a lot of sections which drag on like a motherfucker, but overall the game is pretty good
Better than this one, at least

Fuck off back to tumblr with your ugly koalas

Haven't played it in a while, but I DID play the absolute fuck out of it. Pic related.

Best class is Rogue. If you're using a Chanter for knockbacks I don't know what the fuck you're doing. Give the fucker a blunderbuss and use him as ranged support.

no fucking way
dao is better in pretty much every single aspect and i'm not exactly a fan of that franchise
it even has better itemization than poe and i remember dao being bashed for weak itemization

Dragon Age Origins is a really good game. The biggest problem with the game is probably with certain sections of the game being a bit tedious as hell, but really, it isn't that bad on your first playthrough.

who pissed in your cheerios today user? I'm literally just grabbing images off of google search

now that you mention it, a lot of the fanart is posted through tumblr accounts. Tumblrets can't resist those implicit gay characters for whatever reason. Moths to the flame

>Best class is Rogue
you spelled cipher wrong
joking aside, what class did you used for triple crown solo?

As much as I hate to promote a Bioware product, no. Dragon Age: Origins is Bioware's last decent game. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's actually really good. Such a fucking shame what happened to that franchise.

Fuck Bioware. Back of nigger dick loving Jew cunts.

>Best Class is Rogue

That is a funny way to spell Druid

this guy did a great job with his portraits
the're on pair with the official ones

Rogue. Stealth at high levels and the attack bonuses it gives is broken as fuck. You can outright avoid most fights, and the ones you do get in to are over extremely quickly.

i liked dragon age origins more but i say POE was till great.

>I'm playing on Story Mode and there's nothing you can do about it!

judging by your achievements you've killed all dragons and finished all the bounties
that's impressive
it does include both white march parts right?

>druid
>not even the best casting class
Wizard4lyfe

poe is written like a boring wiki article
despite having different responses they lead to minor flavor text at best

while dao is a wheel of time ripoff, it manages to have way more involving and atmospheric setting and much more varied responses that actually have different consequences up to a point you can play as an absolute asshole edgelord who backstabs and betrays everyone for personal gain and fucks witches and desire demons

I'm pretty sure druids are capable of doing potd solo
not as good as the other classes but still

Yeah. White March was hard as fuck Solo. Triple Crown Solo was, in my opinion, harder than the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne (as an example of difficulty). I exploited the fuck out of stealth mechanics for most of it - felt cheap, but it was the only strat which worked for me.

yes

also no one is stopping you from making a dao thread

>way more involving and atmospheric setting
>oh no darkspawn are coming
mmm

druid gains superior versions of many wizard abilities and is not limited by shitty and absolutely unnecessary grimoire mechanic on top of already unnecessary vancian casting for a game where buffs last 15 seconds

dat sawyer portrait

>the same guy who wrote Joshua Graham wrote this piece of shit character
at least literally everyone on obsidian forums hates her
even in their polls she's always last place as "best companion"

dunno if you played the recent updated version

wizard shits on druid hard

>did my first playthrough as druid when it came out expecting sick shape shifting and befriending plants and nature
>im just a poor man's wizard
man that was disappointing

>he plays a mediocre wizard

Druids are pleb tier. The only thing they have going for them is that their AoE abilities, for the most part, don't hit allies. So if you're not a shitter, you should be able to do a fuckload more with a wizard than what you can with a Druid.

You're not a shitter are you, user?

Better than a poor man's cleric

>Yeah. White March was hard as fuck Solo.
holy shit now I'm very impressed, that alpine dragon man
I've tried to do a potd solo run one using ranger but got fucked by the only one save state available

Having a paladin that chafes under her orders is, at least, one of the things I like about PoE. Pallygina actually has an inner moral compass unlike that cardboard cut-out paladin in NWN2 (I don't even remember his name) who was the ultimate spineless cuck paladin. You do shit he doesn't like? He just goes along with it. The only time he decides to rebel if you have low loyalty is to side with an UNDEAD MAGICAL MONSTROSITY THAT WANTS TO EXPUNGE ALL LIFE (at least within the borders of the Old Kingdom it was created to protect). Is this the worst D&D Paladin ever written?

>Ranger

There's your problem, man. Their pets just don't do enough. They're really good on the easier difficulties, but most mobs on higher difficulties eat pets badly.

I doubt any druid build could do this

forums.obsidian.net/topic/88230-potd-solo-wizard-the-glass-way-303/

I was a little disappointed by the ending because
I couldn't go full edgelord and kill all gods since they were constructs so that I can be enlightened by my own intelligence

so let me gets this right

the gods aren`t actual gods but powerful people that are like our world Illuminati that takes the souls of people who worship them for power or some shit and woedica overstep her bounderise by stealing the souls and giving birth to the whole hollow-born birth crisis?

and you were in your past life someone that worked with the final boss who was woedica "favoritte" that would make sure he was reborn with all his memories intakt to keep spreding her worship everytime he was reborn

i chose to return the souls to the cycle to fix the hole hollow-born crisis and get things to normal. why you would do what the "gods" wanted and strength the people of veil wood by letting them eat the souls or give them to woedica to become her bitch for all eternity?

PoE's story and its characters were written to go defy the notion that everyone has in every RPG ever - that the Gods are 100% real.
The lead narrative designer talked about it in some interview with RPGCodex and honestly the game's narrative kinda grew on me after I saw what they were going for.

>We had two major themes we wanted to work with, both of which seemed natural and important to discuss for this particular story and setting. I'll suggest that people who think one of them is about faith might want to broaden their perspective a bit. Both themes are present in the player's story and at least one is present in each companion's story, though which theme it is varies. White March (taken as a whole) puts a spin on both, but tends to focus on one in particular.

>Part of the genesis of the Pillars story in particular was the observation that in most fantasy settings, the gods are taken for granted. You know they're up there on Olympus or in the heavens or wherever, and you have some idea of how your afterlife is going to look, and what steps you have to take to improve your standing in that regard. Characters in these worlds, on some level, aren't quite human if they don't have to wonder about these things. It's a romantic and appealing fantasy to have all of that figured out and to only need to worry about killing your enemies and pleasing your gods and boning other similarly carefree and attractive violet-eyed adventurers, and that's resulted in the prevalence of that kind of setting within the genre. But if you go that route you miss out on one of the best ways to test your characters and see what they are made out of, and you also miss out on a powerful source of relatability that just about every other genre has access to (and futuristic sci-fi often thrives on).

>There's your problem, man. Their pets just don't do enough.
I was planning to bait mobs with my pet and nuke them with the ranger and it was working for the most part until white march
I should go for a wizzard next

the game is fun when it comes to rollplaying. you truly feel like the character you want to be by giving them their own backstories and dialog options.

i played as a thief rouge that would take the sides that gave her the most profit or benefit. backstabbing people on a fly if i saw it benefiting me while still being loyal and friendly with her friends/companions.

I haven't played this game ever since they balanced this shit, to the point of BOREDOM

they fixed that with dlc atleast.

>I couldn't go full edgelord and kill all gods
poe 2 will be for doing so goddamn constructs are not even real gods REEEE

The Engagement mechanic is broken and retarded, I hope they don't include that shit in Tyranny.
>enemies can completely ignore engagement with almost no downside
>but if YOU disengage you lose half your health

Amazing. White March is alright.

engagement sure is bullshit, it's like the mechanic is there just to gimp the shit out of you.

Ah, not really. The Gods are constructs of thousands (millions?) of souls, which have their own personalities. I think of each of them similar to Legion from Mass Effect.

Also, something that doesn't make sense to the above is Abydon is clearly shown as a giant in the visions you have before he's killed. This doesn't fit with the theory you're fed about the Gods not being 'real'. Abydon was clearly a very real thing, and not an entity which happened to inhabit a body for a period of time like Eothas. That shit still confuses me when I think about it.

really? she was alright. a bit stupid but alright.

nope

the gods aren`t actual gods but powerful people

no, the gods are just advanced constructs made by a thousand of souls

why you would do what the "gods" wanted and strength the people of veil wood

because most gods, despite not being real gods want best for the humanity and want humanity to progress and gain more knowledge

We can all agree he was the only nom-shit Party member personality wise?

That's not Durance or Devil of Caroc.

>dude weed lmao

c'mon son
