After Soul Calibur VI.

Come to think of it, Harada sure has a lot of projects under his belt.

Tekken 7, Pokken, Summer Lesson, Project Treasure, Soul Calibur VI, and then Tekken x Street Fighter.

They need to wait until everyone forgets about Street Fighter X Tekken.

It may take awhile.

Tekken's dimming success combined with Dark Souls becoming the main prize horse put this shit on the back burner. The inclusion of Akuma is definitely Harada testing the waters.

Street Fighter X Tekken was awful is what happened.

Now Harada is swamped with other projects.

Wait till T7 hits.

It got quietly canceled, I think.

I remember hearing that Akuma being put in Tekken 7: FR was due to the fact that Tekken X Street Fighter isn't getting made.

>After Soul Calibur VI
Will the guest characters in Soul Calibur this time around be Dark Souls characters?

Off-topic, but which is better, SoulCalibur IV or V?
The only SoulCalibur I've played is II on the GameCube, it was really fun.

IV has some single player content which V is severely lacking but V is the better game and has better character customization.

Officially on hold. Harada said he will revisit it if T7 console release is a success. So might as well call it a day. Not helping SFV was an epic failure. My dream of seeing Cammy, Chun and Urien in Tekken format might not come true.

>a non-charge Chun-li
>a Chun-li with a Tekken playstyle
This is all I seriously want.

Waiting for T7 to come out and have it be the testing waters for SF characters in Tekken style fighting, getting feedback on how Akuma plays, etc.

My pepis wants to slide up and down the smoovy groovy yumy mami i l u 8::::::::D~~(precum)~~~~~omggggggggggggg *bites lip hard*

Akuma looks fucking ridiculous in T7. I don't want to say he looks OP, but he looks like he'll be a bitch to deal with.

Other than arcade, the only missing mode from vanilla 4 is timed survival.

It wasn't "awful", it was almost really good.

Definitely had a GOAT soundtrack.

Die.

It's been awhile since I played, did V have that Tower mode that IV had?

He was literally nerfed into the floor and then some within the last week. Like a laundry list of nerfs.

It's called tekken 7 now

What do you mean by tower mode? SF4 had arcade, survival (stamina/time) and easy/hard trials.

Same, it's a distant dream but hope she has 100-130 moves.
>watch tekken evo
>big bad akuma comes and almost climbs to the finals using sf fundamentals
I just wanted to watch combos man.

Akuma is in Tekken 7. Namco needs to figure out how to put fireballs, DPs and tatsus into a 3D environment where it doesn't feel overpowered against characters without those tools.

Once Akuma is balanced, THEN the rest of the most popular of the Street Fighter cast will come.

I wager the relase for the turn of the decade.

I think you're talking about Street Fighter 4. We were talking about Soul Calibur 4 and 5.

Oh sorry I'm an idiot.

>Project Treasure
Harada is involved with that garbage?

Its been put on the back burner to not cannibalize on SFV and T7. It also had to get away from the awful PR of xTekken. Its not cancelled yet.

>Akuma's hop or whatever where he jumps a height above characters' heads
You never realize how high people jump in SF until you see it in a different game.

pretty much. akuma is SF on steroids alongside the e.ryu. figuring out how to balance him will bu a huge step to make the other characters. Also the fact that non-shotos/less fireball spam charas are alot more easier to port

Both are way slower and less fun than II, however.

It's no problem

They should just made his damage scale when he does an FADC. That's really where all his kill combos come from.

Tekken has already has fireballs (Jinpachi in TTT2, I've only played that and tekken 3).
There's also shit like lasers, various types of poison- and fire breaths. It's easy to avoid from either just sidestepping or staying out of range.

I don't know what DPs and tatsus are though, so I can't talk for how hard it'll be to balance that.

Well few guys shoot lasers already in Tekken.

i still blast that theme to this day

Don't those have pretty long start ups? I think they're unblockables though.

Depends on how long you consider "long", they are easily utilisable in close quaters if you aren't stupid about it.

Also it'd be kind of silly to just block a fireball.

Yeah that would resolve. but would also rise the problem of adding scalling on the sf cast overall. which will make then as bad as snk characters on CVS2. Tekken is pretty much known for BS damage

Tatsus are spinning kicks that you can duck under.
DPs are basically invincible versions of Jin's big uppercut, not the short ones that all Mishimas use.

They also have no neutral inputs.
