I don't feel awkward or anxious playing No Man's Sky around others, and your words don't affect me. Many others, however, are coming out of their shells for the first time in their lives. This is the first time many are enjoying the beautiful world that has been procedurally generated for us - and it IS beautiful. Incredibly so. DON'T ruin this for them. We No Man's Sky fans may have our differences, but we will not hesitate to come to the aid of our fellow explorers, especially against someone who so virulently slurs that which has brought us all together.

i agree, its a great game, and when I met up with another player, it was amazing. I was so nervous when I found another player I was barely able to function but we did it! Me and Psytokat beat the odds and found each other already! Although we never actually saw eachother (we tried almost everything) the fact that we [ENDED UP IN THE EXACT SAME LOCATIONS AT THE SAME TIME WHILE WE WERE BOTH ONLINE OUT OF 18 QUINTILLION PLANETS] is absolutely amazing! I also wanted to say don't assume Sean Murray lied to us... as of right now I'm 86% sure it was a glitch and if not he will probably add it in a future update. Such a small team made such a massive and great game... that's what really defied the odds.

I bought the game despite non-stop criticism and I gotta say I didn't enjoy a single part of it.
The planet exploration you can experience watching a play through.
The crafting is hands down the worst I've seen in many survival games. The fact you need to recharge your main mining laser and like 3 other systems is a horrible mechanic. Not to mention you need to do this constantly.
Performance wise, there are a lot of issues and it's not a minority. The game has a rating of 49% out of 12 000 reviews. This obviously means there are a lot of problems with the game.
What people are missing about this is that the game wouldn't be receiving such harsh hate if it had a good enough game behind it to ignore all these issues. But it doesn't.

Guess what? The game was never going to be perfect. It was never going to live up to your hype. It was never going to be everything you'd ever want in a game.
What it WAS going to be was an impossibly big universe filled with mysteries and weird shit. I just played it for 2 hours and it was exactly that. What more do you want?

I entered this game with an open mind and have now reached the centre of the galaxy finished atlas. And the first 5 hours are amazing..... Then the milk turns sour and you enter a endless fucking grind to reach the centre of the Galaxy. This involves visiting a planet, collecting resources, selling it and visiting another solar system to restart the process. The game is interesting and fun at first, but repetitive bullshit wich isn't fun and I will be selling tommorow (spoilers) when u Finnish the game literally restarts. From the beginning

Dear Sup Forums, please ignore all the haters. This game is not for everyone, if you have already purchased this game and you have yet to launch it, please change your expectations. This is not an empire builder, this is a game build for exploration. As Sean Murray said, "This maybe isn’t the game you *imagined* from those trailers. If you hoped for things like pvp multiplayer or city building, piloting freighters, or building civilizations… that isn’t what NMS is. Over time it might become some of those things through updates.” He later explained that through future updates, they will add in new features like freighters and base building. But currently this game is purely made for exploration purposes. And last but not least, you have to understand that this is uncharted territory in the gaming world, and the fact that with such a small team of only 3 people, that this studio put together a game of this scale is just staggering. In conclusion, PLEASE do your research and make sure that this title is a fit for you and your PC. This game is not for everyone, it isn't even for most people, but if it is for you, I guarantee you will enjoy it.
