I wanna buy one of these, convince me not too.
I wanna buy one of these, convince me not too
faggot
>falling for the dpi meme
It really doesn't make a difference.
It's probably not really worth it unless you're passionate about gaming. The average casual probably wouldn't notice the difference.
I had 3 of them, all had problems with the mouse wheel after one year.
Trying Roccat now.
>buying the same electronic 3 times after failures
Do you literally have the 'tism?
It really does.
Lower dpi is like aiming using a grid.
There are cheaper mice than the deathadder, more reliable aswell, if you can go fo rthe chroma were the hardware issues were fixed somewhat.
But it is very ergonomic and comfortable to use.
Razer products just don't last. They all LOOK really nice, but they're cheap pieces of shit. Get something similar from another brand.
any recommendations on mouse pads?
Scroll wheel is designed to fail, they've literally made them more fragile in recent models. Otherwise a good mouse
It'll break down in less than 2 years.
There are better built products in the same price range. When it breaks, it's not stuff you can fix by plugging in a new wire like with the g400.
I'm still using my 2013 and have never had any issues with it. It fits my hand/the way I use a mouse very comfortably.
1st> i heard it's good - get one
2nd> well, maybe it just broke for some reason - try another one
3rd>I really got used to how this mouse fits my hand, let's give it one more try
but then, fuck it, they are not getting anymore money from me for mice.
I've had one for three years (and the old Deathadder before that), fits my hand perfectly. Only decent Razer product imo
just get a zowie for the same price
razer hardware fails quickly
This is my exact mouse it is a great comfy mouse. Just get it
Mine started double-clicking after a year. Fixed it by opening it up and putting a tape over the plastic plunger which got worn down over time. Still really like how it feels and how it looks, but it has a pretty shitty build quality, so keep that in mind.
but that's wrong
higher dpi ingame makes your tracking skip alot more
that's why professional cs players use 400-800 dpi, and specifically never go above 1600
where the fuck did you hear that alot of dpi is better?
So you're confirmed for 'tism? Kay.
Razer is notorious for hardware failure, their products are jank, cheap shit, it's just marketed as high quality 'gaming' shit
If the mouse market hasn't changed in a decade logitech is still probably the best
I need a new mouse
I bought a Chroma
It was a great mouse while it lasted, but unfortunately that was under a year before double-clicking developed
anyone have good mouse recommendations?
logitech is a safe bet but their mice are annoying to clean since they started adding irrelevant edges everywhere. And they're heavy.
That said I have a g402 and a g502 and they're both fine mice.
The only "gamer gear" that will noticeably improve the comfort of using your PC is a mechanical keyboard.
A very good mouse (which razer mice aren't) is only required if you are an FPS pro player.
Non-gaming headphones will usually have better quality than gamer headsets, but if you perfer comfort>quality wireless headsets are pretty dope. Don't buy from razer though, they're overpriced and uncomfortable. Turtle beach has nice wireless headsets.
Had mine for 3 years now. It's great.
I'm not saying it's the best one in its price range or the best value for money but it's got a comfortable grip and accurate enough for the games I play.
Had to turn that shiny fucking green light off though. Really fucking annoying at night.
>logitech
>best at anything
Every logitech mouse I have ever bought started double clicking within a week.
Just buy a Zowie, faggot.
Everyone is in this thread is a faggot. The 2013 edition goes for like 50 bucks. And tbqhfam I bought it when it was 80. And I love it to death. Best mouse I've ever had. Feels good. Durable. The only bad thing is that shit Razer synapse driver you have to run. And it's just more stupid shit boging down your computer. Buy it op
They have bad lasers that can't track anything except a standard mousepad.
They don't have terrific dpi settings. It's either too slow, normal, or too fast.
They're overpriced.
>double clicking
Yeah logitech mice seem to have that problem a lot. Sometimes it disappears again.
It's weird.
Maybe you shouldn't buy your logitech mice from the flea market then champ.
Stock wire has some issues. Had to swap mine out now it's been working for years.
>it will break after few months of usage
>needs proprietary closed source drivers with no gnu/linux support
>double click is very common
>cursor lag/stutter/ripple unless you use some kind of razer(tm) mousepad
piece of shit, never again
Sure user, believe what ever you want.
But I think we both know who the real autist of us two is, shown by the content quality of the posts.
what the fuck
first off, the deathadder doesn't use laser technology since laser mice are shit.
and any deathadder has the best optical sensors on the market.
and why the fuck would you not use a mousepad?
I bought a Razor Abyssus about 6 years ago because I needed a new mouse.
I only recently replaced it 2 months ago and to my surprise it never really stopped working except for the right mouse button occassionally double clicking every once in a while after the 5th year. The scroll wheel got very loud and squeaky whenever it moved.
The laser on the mouse was practically dead, couldn't even see it on your finger if you stuck it in there.
held up for me.
yeah fuck me for using my mouse with my laptop as well. even though its OPTICAL SENSOR, excuse me, is a piece of shit that's totally excused.
by all means pay your entire allowance on underperforming overmarketed to teenagers edgemaster 420 mice.
in english please?
>he uses linux
>bad lasers
>deathadder is one of the few mice with a flawless optical sensor
you can use any deathadder without proprietary software though on linux though
depends on which deathadder
You have TEN (10) seconds to justify spending any money on a mouse beyond the money necessary for a Roccat Lua
this, get the ec1 or ec2-a, it's the same shape as a deathadder and doesn't require botnet level janky ass always on drivers. fuck razer.
whats the difference between the two?
only size, the ec1-a is bigger. I prefer the ec2-a
I bought a chroma one and a half years ago and i think it works fine to be honest.
I think it feels really comfortable in my hand and it has all the features I want.
I guess we'll see how long it lasts since people are complaining about logevity.
My previous mouse held up with daily use for around 6 years or so before breaking but it wasn't as comfortable.
Side buttons and dpi adjustments are the best shit ever. More buttons equal more good.
It's a good mouse for large hands, I've yet to find a decent replacement, everything else is made for midgets.
zowie fk best mice in history
Lua has dpi adjustment. side buttons is a fair point though
Not super into mousepads, but SteelSeries and Glorious PC Gaming Race are great. Used to own a regular sized mousepad from the former, switched to a 36"x18" mat from the latter.
Great until it breaks.
Try the g502 proteus core
hope you don't like using your mmm as a ptt or for camera drag, because it will break
i used to buy razer stuff a few years ago but found their quality to be fairly poor compared to other premium gaming brands
I have it, it's great. Only problem is that middle click barely works anymore because of how much I use it on a daily basis.
I used to like Razor products, but then I turned 18.
i've had my deathadder for 3 years good as new
What's a decent and cheap mouse to buy nowadays? Not necessarily for gaming. Preferably under $20.
Didn't know what that was honestly.
It's about $30, got my g400 for $40 and after replacing the wire with one of my old ball mice it has lasted me for years. Wouldn't recommend it because it's pretty outdated now I would bet and really expensive. There are other reasons why people like a mouse, like form factor or drivers (beyond my understanding, I just go off from what other people say.) Some people like the look, like how I enjoy the intellimouse but I haven't gotten one since it lacks all the buttons I love.
Save up and use cheap wired mouses until you're ready. $40 should get you something decent and you can probably go lower.
left mouse is going to shit out on you in under a year, don't buy one
I have the same fucking problem
Gonna RMA
i wanted to buy one of those too, until i read the reviews and everyone kept talking about the double clicking problem and the scroll wheel fucking up.
i ended up buying a logitech g900
I've been using a shit-shaped G303 for a year now. Can't wait to switch to the Zowie ECA2, a perfect shape for my manlet hands.
how are those $1 custom mousepads holding up Sup Forums?
>$1 custom mousepads
Where do I purchase one?
i hope you like your right click not working after 6 months
was a promo 4 or 5 years back, pretty much everyone on Sup Forums got one
You don't need one.
The vast majority probably didn't because those mousepads were shit and worthless, but you thought they did because there was a large potion of active users posting about it.
Been using it for 5 years or so, I just really like the way it fits in my hand.
>shit and worthless
mine's lasted me for years, the fabric is coming up on my wrist edge but only a little bit, easily worth $1
I got a chroma maybe four or five years ago and loved it, earlier this year it started double clicking. Pitched, got the new chroma, slightly worse feel but overall OK.
You can find optical mice on amazon for like 10 bucks and they usually do their job fine for years
t. Fag that never spend more than 15 bucks on a mouse in his life
>worthless mousepad
Well I'm using one right now and it hasn't given me cancer or destroyed my mouse yet so I say it works just fine. I mean it's not an oversize progamer-MLG pad made with treated Italian leather but it works.
Also got it for free.
Ive had a 2013 since 2013.
Good mouse.
as far as Razer goes I've had this Deathadder for around 4 years now,
Best mouse I've ever used and I'll pick it up again easily, however I've heard bad things about keyboards from them.
It will break in a year or so.
they go to shit after a year or so
as you can see: I clicked reply once and it fucking triple clicked that shit
Had mine for a couple of years now. I like it.
>Provides understandable, civil and reasonable explanation.
>YOU HAVE TISM' Xd
Why are you like this user?.
i have a deathadder 3.5g and it has worked fine for years
i dont have the affection for it like i did the mx518
Had three total, no idea what happened to two of them, lost them somewhere. One is still in use, but not as a mousepad. I have one of those giant black mouse pads, with one of the 1$ things right next to it. I use it as a coaster for drinks, so I don't ruin my desk.
I use naga hex, will probably switch to Naga hex V2, since i heard it's bigger.
Thumb rest is a really good idea.
6 buttons is pretty useful for a lot of games as well as some work macros.
>'tism
What?
All you'd ever need. $26
I've had one for 2 years now, i play at 800 dpi so don't get it for that (seriously going anything above 1600 makes it sensitive as fuck) get it if you just want a solid mouse that will last a while
Does it have side buttons?
All programmable.
It will double click in 2 years
Seems legit.
Amazon is recommending me a slightly pricier mouse the logitech g303 daedaleus but despite the better reviews the one you have would suit my needs.
Everyone keeps saying how G400 is da best, but holy shit how can I play anything intense or stuff that requires accuracy when the little bumb at the bottom of the left side digs into my thumb, since it's impossible to keep your thumb in it's designated position when you're trying to be very precise with it.
it'll break in two years and all the buttons will begin doubleclicking
Dont Razer products come with malware?
>g303
Looks good too however, I like to not pay more than $30 for a mouse.
they're all about selling the brand name.
After having to return a few razer mice myself I looked up more into the hardware of their products and it turns out they are now using cheap knock off lazers in their products to save money.
This is so they are pigeon held into buying their most pretigious products that have the good hardware.
Left pad falls off easily. Mine fell off after a few months. I just removed it entirely.
This is true.
It'll start double clicking after a year and a half or so.
Still...I'm on my third Deathadder because they are comfy as fuck.
Not every mouse is going to fit for every person's hand, friendo. I've got logitech's g500s and it's the most comfortable thing ever.
