Also, I am concerned.. I want to play on a hard difficulty but I have found that in games like this, harder difficulties basically just make combat harder and stealth easier.

Previews I've watched seem rather negative.

Then again main complaints seem to be graphics, shooting being too much like a PC game, game not being fully open world , exploration being video gamey and (Bethesda) Fallout is better.

Do people actually like walking simulators with occasional mmo rat killing quest? The only truly good Fallout was the first one because it had a time limit that punished wandering. Fallout 2 was ok too but the time limit was only real in your mind.

It is a scifi rpg and people seem to want it to be fully open world and play like Fallout.

My personal pet peeves are reusing protagonist in a Deus Ex game and the rather small scale that comes with focus on character. Original had the blandest protagonist and world falling apart while Eidos Dude Sexes have fleshed out protagonist and some bigots. Jensen never interacts with the big fish like Denton did.

At least some augs are mutually exclusive this time and levels are bigger.

Taggart was more of a field agent in the way he was presented. Either Illuminati could act more openly at that time or they fucked up the "always in the shadows" part. He mentions Illuminati about twice during the game.

Zhao was just a cog in the machine albeit with some aspirations and Darrow is an old man with grudge more than global mastermind.

Page, Everett and DeBeers are more in line with the original but they are not part of Jensen's quest. I think the best shadowy character in the game was Tong.

No, season passes are traps (Fallout 4). Don't ever buy a season pass unless you know exactly what you're getting.

The difference is that Page is a CEO with near flawless pr. He is as far removed from divisive subjects as it gets. Same goes for Morgan who is also very distant to the public.

The original Deus Ex is my favorite game. I wasn't too optimistic about Human Revolution but I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. This just looks more and more like a fucking action game. It's going down the Resident Evil route and wasting the whole appeal of the source material.

I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised again.

Well alot of people were dissapointed with the shooting mechanics in HR for those who wanted to go full rambo. the stealth mechanics were pretty much fine but they got alot of feedback that the combat was ''shit'' so they showcased howmuch they have improved on the shooting mechanics alot. Stealth will probably be mostly the same. maybe tweaked a bit.

I think the main reason to dislike it is how far removed it is from the original.

I think it is necessary though. HR, as good as it is, was still quite rough around the edges so the studio has lot to prove.

I'd still like to see a new Deus Ex game with nature of politics instead of nature of technology as the main point instead of vice versa. They do need a new protagonist for that though.

That game will have to be so masterfully crafted, that every single person that plays it, gets played (ie MGS). Otherwise, it's just going to sell extremely poorly.

Hmm, I see. I felt that Human Revolution was actually fucking awesome all things considered. It did feel perfect for the time period in which games have progressed into, modern games' focus on combat taken into consideration. I'm hoping to love this one also.

Deus ex GO coming out on the 18th. Anyone else also looking foward to that? Lara Croft Go was a great fucking puzzle game. Hitman Go was okay, little boring and easy though. Deus Ex Go looks like it's expanding on all of the puzzle mechanics, and looks much more intricate and challenging.

Original Deus Ex made money despite main theme being control vs freedom and development being bloated.

Last I heard the game looks quite similar on PS4 and PC but PC playsbetter due to 60 fps. It might be more buggy though.

XBone version allegedly has frame rate issues but I don't think that affects many people here.
