its not that good but damn is it fun

...

Umm, Fallout 4 exists, why haven't you bought it?

I always use it to soften up enemies for my primary weapon

Guns are the worst invention of the 21st century.

Didn't that gun really fucking suck

.21st century

There's only 2 fallout games, neither are made by bethesda, and I already own both.

.21st century

>21st Century

>RPG
>Castlevania
Are you retarded? Because you level up you think it's an RPG? You don't roleplay. You don't have a party. You don't even name your character. It's an action adventure game with VERY simple RPG leveling mechanics.

Read a book dude.

...

if the gun in the game doesn't have a sweet muzzle flash it can fuck off

Not OP, but what is a Role Playing Game exactly?
Like, in any videogame you get to play the role of a character finishing an objective.

Like say mobas or a game with classes like overwatch, my role is a tank in the game, would that mean Overwatch is a role playing game?

ive honestly found myself confused at the naming of this genre.

Those are called action RPGs.

>they are broken as shit

Guns were useable in Persona 1 and 2. Not that anybody on Sup Forums is aware of their existence since they love their static anime waifus too much to notice.

Guns are op irl desu senpai

>Not OP, but what is a Role Playing Game exactly?

Anything Japanese, and if not then a boring Tolkien setting.

Is your rifle getting hotter Sup Forums?

Reminder that Parasite Eve exists.

Are there even any armed forces in the world that still uses swords?

I think they said during an SGDQ speedrun that the handguns and RPG have really high set damage that isn't affected by your strength, so they're really good while you have low strength (i.e. while speedrunning and aren't grinding to level up) but suck after that.

Fallout 4 is not an RPG.

I always fight Julius wtih a gun and a gun only.
The contrast of armament between rather unorthodox vampire killing weaponry such as a whipe, axes, boomerang crosses and holy water that lights ablaze and just a gun makes for a fun scenario.

Outside of traditions and ceremonies?
None that i can think of.

I haven't played those games since I was a kid, did they age well?

did anyone else read "rpg as a usable gun"

There is an RPG in one of the Castlevania games

The gun is good but there was some spear that I got later on that just felt better to use.

the PS1 models are so low rez they might as well be sprites. Other than that it stands up ok at least for the first game

God created men, but Sam Colt made them equal.

I can fix that.

Just played through Parasite Eve 2 for the first time recently and highly recommend it.

that was Proton Cannon
was it canon

I couldn't play through PE1 because Aya moves slower than my dead grandma

PE2 is still great.

That's what emulation is for

The first one did. The second did if you never played a Resident Evil game ever.

...

PE2 is better than the vast majority of the entire Resident Evil franchise.

Castlevania always seems to work well with guns.

If only Sega didn't take out the smoking and stuff in the localized versions

fuck my ass and call me sam

I can't find a full image so enjoy the one for ants.
In jade empire it is possible to get a blunderbus (Mirabelle) and stop fighting with martial arts. Just blow people's heads of. 420 no scope.

Spread them cheeks Sam

Llama Llama has a gun.

Typical libcuck

it was probably canon that at least one mad scientist brought the fight to dracula with a proton cannon in the battle of 1999

I'm pretty sure that Phantasy Star had guns all the way back in the 90s.

Hell, I'm pretty sure Ultima and Might & Magic had them back in the 80s, if not the 70s.

He said "RPG" Todd.

I'm tempted to say Onimusha Dawn of Dreams solely for the rifle character.

But ones I can remember? Barkley Shut up and Jam Gaiden
FF8
FF7
FF12
FFXIII
Skies of Arcadia
Rogue Galaxy
Some Tales game/s
Wild Arms, obviously.
Resonance of Fate? That one gun focused JRPG that performed atrociously.
Lost Odyssey.
I'll try to remember some others.

might and magic has like lasers and shit because the twist is almost always that your fantasy medieval world is actually part of an ancient spaceship and magic is actually just technology (Also devils turn out to be ayyliens)

>Saturn game
fuck

We should have a decent saturn emulator by now right?

I heard SSF is better than it used to be

Mednafen is supposedly getting one soon, and from what I hear it's supposed to be as accurate as their PSX core.

Saga Frontier. Gun has an entire skill line for it and they're as effective as other skills and magic.

Wrong castlemania the one with a good gun ooe

I'll be your "valentine"
