realtalk, I was hoping for a slower paced kind of game and more trenches to go with the theme, but after watching a bunch of videos of players twitching through the game it looks like they've actually lowered the ttk and made it to where if you're trying to keep up you'll need to stock up on redbull and cocaine.

As for the gameplay, they wouldn't do anything to drastic or all the kids wouldn't buy it, it's basically a modern shooter with a ww1 aesthetic.

BF1 IS a modern shooter, but with a ww1-inspired skin. Get Verdun instead for a different, more authentic ww1 game.

I know, i've been meaning to. I love the production value and vehicles bf1 is bringing to the ww1 era but at the same time in order to be competitive and keep the fps kiddies entertained it's gotta be played like a heroin addict watching a michael bay movie or else they'll lose interest.

Do it. It's actually the only FPS that I've genuinely enjoyed since Battlefield 1942 when i was like 13. I'm 25 now. Verdun has some unfortunate issues for now, but it's genuinely fun and different from anything I've played before.

Im just glad theres no more lock on shit. Now I can actually enjoy vehicles without worrying about getting locked on.

This works before missile is fired, or after.

If before, obviously they can lock on again, but their lock on timer is reset and you should have enough time to get some more rounds off.

Each squad has 5 slots but there are only 4 classes which means a full squad is going to have at least one pair of some class. That can either increase or decrease the number of shitskins per squad but the overall should still be 1/4.

They said from the beginning this was "alternate history WW1", and it's obviously so they can add more weapons. I didn't see anyone complaining that MGSV, set in the 80s, had laser sights not half the size of the guns.
