Huh.

Hopefully

Jews are ruining it, ever since Forbes demands I whitelist them I haven't gone there.

Fuck them for wanting ad revenue.

It's killing shit sites like Forbes, yes.

No, annoying intrusive ads are killing the internet.

We don't really need interactive ads, ads taking up 50+% of the screen, pop up ads, ads that activate themselves, ads that interrupt your reading/watching, questionaire ads, etc.

just give me a simple little retangle/square and let me go on my way.

only the shit parts

Just the garbage.
Fuck all these corporate fucktards infesting the internet, I hope their shitty companies go bankrupt.

The fact that Forbes is dropping means that other sites are growing

But yes, adBlock use has been soaring over the past few years, and that's a great fucking thing. Kill the normie sites and make the internet great again.

This. Every ad literally adds like ten trackers to my computer or is otherwise intrusive to my web browsing experience. Let me fap to futa rape in peace.

Forbes started blocking people with adblockers from accessing their site a while ago.

>Use Kissanime/cartoon
>Has anti adblock
>Alright, the ads can be hidden and they're non intrusive so I'll bite
>Suddenly the ads are now very much intrusive, onclock new window bullshit
>Apparently they had issues with their ad network
>Turn on adblock again
>STILL gives me the 'turn off adblock' bullshit despite their site turning into a cesspool

hopefully

can't we bypass it? i mean we're or rather some paranoid autist is smart enough right?

Seriously fucking this, i never used adblock till i was on wowhead and wondered why i was lagging out and it had loaded up 6 simultaneous video ads, so fuck em.

Ads/jews are killing the internet

>twenty six teen
>not usage after ublock origin with anti adblock filters
For what purpose living?

anti-adblock killer.

If your website can't "survive" without exploiting people, it's shutdown should be celebrated because it is doing more damage than service.

Obviously you can but most people don't know how.

We can only hope.

Every single time
I want to disable adblock on website I visit a lot but whenever I do I can't even browse because of all the layers of ads they have.
Also the dozens of ads they have are in flash and take 100% of my CPU to run

When you website has higher requirement than The Witcher 3 you have a huge problem.

thanks nerds i can visit forbes again

>can't we bypass it?
No reason to since you can just go to another site to read the news, which is what most people with adblock do, hence the drop in traffic.

They found that people naturally ignored such ads, and since they want to manipulate people into buying things, this was not good enough.

>not using treestyle tabs
Nigger what are you doing.

Forbes doesn't seem that bad. Now post Wired falling out of Alexa top 1000 ever since they put anti adblock on their site.

More often than not, you can actually filter out the anti-adblock using adblock.

You can use stuff like flashblock and ghostery or disconnect to block scripts and flash shit. I prefer that to using adblock all the time. The world is run by money and ads supply that money even though I've never understood the point of ads on the internet. I've clicked and ad deliberately maybe 10 times in 18 years on the internet.

good
if you need ads on your site to survive
it deserves to die

God I hope so. Fuck ads, I'll just use sites that don't restrict adblock until those run out and then I'll never be on the internet again since I'll never pay for a subscription such sites.

>Browser freeze when going to some game wikis.
>Especially fextralife ones.
>Try out a couple of different things.
>Nothing works.
>Try out adblock for the heck of it.
>Absolutely no freezes or hang-ups anymore.

They filled their site so much to the brim with ads that it actually fucks up your browser, I'm alright with ads but not in this capacity.

when they stop making ads virus/malware free maybe then, and it's a big maybe i'll stop blocking them.

I'll give it a try, thanks

oh fuck, typo.

when they START..lol

I tried doing that, but since the code which sets it off is not really a visible thing I can't seem to pinpoint it.

>We don't really need interactive ads, ads taking up 50+% of the screen, pop up ads, ads that activate themselves, ads that interrupt your reading/watching, questionaire ads, etc.
Not to mention most of that shit lead into some kind of malware-infested sites.

I'm sure someone has. Just ask Google for a solution.

>Using an adblocker is stealing

People who seriously think or say this should be neutered to stop them from spreading their filthy retard genes.

>go on news website
>the content I want is strictly speaking a few KB of text, maybe a few hundred more KB for a relevant picture or illustration
>overhead in the form of stylesheets and structural elements add a bit more, fair enough
>HURR DURR LET ME ADD THIRTY MEG OF ADVERTS FOR COMPLETE SHIT
>MAYBE ILL EVEN PLAY A SOUND OR ANIMATE OR TAKE CONTROL OF THE PAGE COMPLETELY WHO KNOWS

Even better is when the ad frame actively switches ads so the page can never finish loading, and left open could continue chewing down data indefinitely. Some sites even rely on external javascripts just to display the main fucking text of the article.
Shitty bloated website design and adverts are killing the internet, adblockers and script blockers are the chemo giving us back a functional and responsive experience.

There's an interesting article on this somewhere where a guy goes on a load of popular sites and measures how unnecessarily heavy their pages are, you'd be horrified at the complete incompetence of developers who operate some of the biggest websites on the planet.

I hope so

Why the fuck does anyone even use forbes?

>We don't really need interactive ads, ads taking up 50+% of the screen, pop up ads, ads that activate themselves, ads that interrupt your reading/watching, questionaire ads, etc.

Ads that have sound and you cant find them immediatelly to turn it off or you are in another tab and they start playing

V-video games?

I agree that adblockers were a logical reaction to the shitty ads, but the shitty ads were a logical reaction to no one clicking on the simple little rectangles and squares.

We need a new system, because I think ad revenue is kind of important, but I'm also against shitty ads.

>All those unblockable ads on Gelbooru now
Please help. I get them with Adblock Plus and uBlock.

Please help.

You can always get an anti anti adblocker.

I was able to block them. The only thing I haven't blocked are the intermission ads.

Use Sankaku instead

You can get addons for adblock plus. I got a popup blocker addon for AB+ just today and it seems to have worked.
