People will tell you X-2 has good gameplay and bad story. Those people are liars and it's actually the opposite. X-2 has the most overrated combat system in Final Fantasy history, and the game is not fun to play. The silly premise is utterly wasted on such a bad game.

All in all, it's not bad.. but I never finished it. I was also like 16 and I think I was expecting FF X, and it's not really like that at all. I don't remember the story, but the battle system was alright.

10-2 is great jerk off fodder, and has cringy all girl gameplay.

I played it for a bit. But, it's just so weird knowing and experiencing the world one way, then having you traverse it in a completely different order and at different level scales than the first time.

Here's my prediction: you will become increasingly bored and contemplate dropping the game near the end.

X-2 is okay. It's a pain to do 100%, though, and the new dungeons are all basically featureless caves. The main story is also kind of fluff outside of the political conflict, with all of the serious stuff being devoted to sidequests.

Hardly ever happens. When games do have this people on both sides of the race issue are butthurt about it. It's only acceptable when used in a historical context, even then some people will complain.

I don't get the story of 10 after beating it. Why did Tidus turn into dream dust.

I only played the 13 series and I didn't get them either.

tidus was a dream conjured by the Fayth, as was the entirety of his version of Zanarkand. sending yu yevon allowed the fayth to all wake up, which meant all their dreams disappeared too.

Tidus was basically a summon. His summoners were out of mana and dismissed him at the end.

the summoners are women and children who became cursed with undeath when sin attacked zanarkand
they summon not only the aeons that join you in battle, but a recreation of zanarkand, where the tidus we know comes from. the real tidus died thousands of years ago. the one you play as is a half remembered version of that dead boy. thanks to auron and sin/jecht breaking into the summoned city, tidus was able to escape into the outside world
once tidus killed sin, the summoners were finally allowed to die, and their dream, tidus, died with them
think of it this way,
we could all just be characters that exist in a third party's dream
and what happens to us and our lives when that third party wakes up?

The "Untitled" Project X mod for Final Fantasy X PC on Steam doesn't work for me. (steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=683802394) The game works fine without the mod but it won't launch with he mod.

I extracted the zip file in the Final Fantasy X game folder and tried to launch the game. The launcher works fine but when I press to start the game it shuts off.

MSVC++ 2015 is installed. I want to have the Jap dub with Eng subs.
