>square makes huge deal about release of game being September 30 during their live show
>the countdown showed November 30, and then rolled back to September 30
Not a chance, user. Not even square can afford to go back on that one now.

But it'd be great for Atlus. Why the idiots chose to release Persona 5 two weeks before FFXV baffles me.

I haven't seen a single trustworthy source for that.

And it'd make no sense whatsoever. Their whole marketing is leading up to a September release. The anime. Kingsglaive. Uncovered, obviously. They've made some questionable marketing decisions but that would be borderline suicidal.

I can make a random anime faggot twitter account and tweet shit too. Sage goes in all fields.

SE are absolute shit with money.

I'm still really unsure about this. A source for Gamnesia and "one of" Gematsu's sources that confirmed the original September 30 date before Uncovered. On the other hand, multiple Gamestops are denying they have anything on a new date and Square just put out both a new trailer and press release yesterday, both with September 30th still listed.

You'd think that if there were a delay, the marketing department would've been told to stop sending anything out with the original date still mentioned, particularly if it's just days before the change.

The sad thing is, the sources are shady both ways. Square Enix needs to step up and confirm.

I'll wait for the official announcement. It's quite odd if it does end up getting delayed. As said, they've been building up hype for a September release. Failing to do that after all the movies, mobile games, animes etc. would hurt Square a lot.

Is it because Persona 5 is also getting a September release? I think Persona is bigger than Final Fantasy in Japan at this point and Square may be moving the release date further so that they don't get brutalized by Atlus. Kinda funny if true.

Persona is popular in japan but not THAT popular compared to established SE franchises

The game is shit with cut content DLC

Who cares?

>Impressive scale and ambition—but glitches make us doubt September launch window.

These sources are just spewing the rumor that the ONE publication who posted it said (probably just for clicks).

did no one else think that september 30th was an incredibly odd release date? I can't remember a single game releasing on [month] 30th. except maybe shovelware. sept 30th looks to me like December 31st: a placeholder date and nothing more. this delay should have been expected. but it's bad for one important thing: KH3 will also get delayed.

Fan reactions equate to confirmations how exactly?

FF XV delayed, cause SE making a verson for PC

You're delusional if you think that's the case

Final Fantasy hasn't mattered for a long time now. Not here, not in Japan.

You're not making sense

So what decade should we expect Kingdom Hearts 3?

Never. Same with FF7R.

December 2018

Wasn't this supposed to be a PS3 launch game?

What's with the PS3 and cancelled/super delayed games?

The first trailer was in 2006 so it was never intended as a launch title.
It was supposed to be PS3 exclusive for quite some time though

Winter 2013

Square Enix fails at developing games recently. For most of last gen Square Enix published most of their good games and just developed blunders like Final Fantasy 13 and its sequels and the original Final Fantasy 14.

Q3 2018 unfortunately.

I'm kinda tired waiting. I waited for KH3 for fucking ever. six years now. at least 2.8 is gonna release soon, and we're also gonna get Zelda BotW next year. holy shit gaming is dead.

That was a surprisingly good article. Thank you
