What is the worst enemy in dark souls and why is it this fucking subhuman?

What is the worst enemy in dark souls and why is it this fucking subhuman?

Because he is subhuman like your average redditor

The giants tomb was literally the worst area in the game.
At least the enemies in blighttown weren't literal chimpouts.

>turds from Sup Forums aren't subhuman
k..

*rattles bones loudly*

HOL UP

>this kills the shield shitters

I actually enjoyed the challenge of the Tomb of the Giants and the shake-up it provided (have to choose between light and your shield)

I found Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith and Duke's archives way more tedious and unlikeable

>The giants tomb was literally the worst area in the game.
Not while Lost Izalith exists.

>mfw i completely forgot about the skull lantern and went through the whole blind

am i the only one who thought lost izalith was fine and would be one of the better areas if it had just a bit more work done to it?

they just attack so quickly sometimes i just use pyromancy against them
2 hits and they die

Really?
i thought Lost Izalith was a breeze apart from the insufferable boss "fight"

> what is the sunlight maggot?
Ez game

I can run the area and get to nito totally blind without getting hit once, from the pinwheel bonfire.

that was my point, it wasn't interesting or challenging, just a boring slog that felt like a waste of time

Design-wise, the dragon asses.
It's one of the dumbest examples of asset recycling I've ever seen.

kek I did this too

fucking this

The shark with the anchor from Bloodborne.

Just what the fuck were they thinking.

Just beat dark souls (main game, still going through up DLC)

Did a faith/dex build with katana/divine battle axe/Queelag's furysword

What build should I play for dark souls 2?

Also, the little baby skeleton niggers in the area before nito.
Fucking skeletons in general with their retarded fucking barrel roll attacks.
Literal retards

If you want the game to be a literal cakewalk, DEX+FTH with lightweight armor.

NINININININININI

Quality or Hexer(Int/Fai) so you can have access to a gorillion weapons and/or spells.

RATTLING INTENSIFIES

>literally rapes your face

TRIGGERED

I hated duke's archives personally. I thought Tomb of the Giants had great level design and especially like how dark it is. I used the lantern to get to get to Nito though. I also hated the aesthetic of Demon's ruin and Lost Izalith. It was literally red and orange everywhere and it made me want to throw up though the area wasn't bad.

Yes.

The worst part of Demon's ruins was the awful copypasting of Taurus and Capra demons. I mean who the fuck thought it was a good idea to just have one hallway of Capra demons lined up?

You're right but i think they managed to fix it quite smartly given that they were out of time and out of budget for the game.
I mean lost izalith is supposed to be where the demons spawned from.

Duke's is alright because you might actually get hit by an enemy once in a while. Tomb is 2ez once you have any kind of a lightsource.

What bums me is that the dreaded darkwraiths of New Londo have no health and a total of five moves. Chained Prisoner is like the only respawning enemy in the whole game who is fun to fight, and you don't even have to.

I didn't really fight any enemies in Lost Izalith besides the Taurus demons. They were way to easy for my taste and I didn't want to risk getting all my weapon and armor broken and having to run back to the bonfire and repair it. I

Are we including BB?

Tomb of the Giants was actually my favorite stage after New Londo. It's actually terrifying being in the dark on a cliffside with huge tombs of giant skeletons everywhere.

Duke's Archives is hot garbage to anyone with taste.
>99% of enemies aren't new or are rehashes
>corridors upon corridors
>dull blue filter
>crystal caves and the open field with nothing of worth
>"forced" death that breaks established rules but doesn't even lead to any cool sequences
>invincible boss

At least Izalith can be skipped almost entirely.

They had pretty poor vision though. I think I hate the DaS2 ogres or Imperfect Dragon things in Shulva more.

DaS3 had the crocodile dogs but at least they're severely weak to bleed.

God, the Fishing Hamlet and the Healing Church lab/clock tower were such beyond perfect levels.

I like it because you can get from the start to Nito in like a two minutes if you're familiar with the layout.

These bastards were worse than any boss

dude put a trigger warning on that next time holy shit im literally shaking

>didn't know there was a light source
>mapped tomb of giants out with prism stones
>was the most fun I had in the game

By the time I got through it I could do the whole area blind in a couple minutes.

I never had to much of a problem with these guys, but I was using the Demons Greataxe which 1 shot everything

>They had pretty poor vision though.
Sure, in the patched version.

He's only a problem to little dex waifs.

Those fucking torch hollows and thEIR FUCKING INFIPOISE DUMB FAGGOT LOOKING STUNLOCK BULLSHIT ATTACK FUCK

I did Seath last and by that time I was quite annoyed by end-game and just wanted to get it over with. The enemies sucked as well and were boring. Getting hit only made it worse.

Also, I went through Tomb with no light source first time. It was just after the 2nd bonfire that I didn't feel like fighting the skeletons anymore and used the light source and just ran past them.

Fuckin right
Unavoidable chimpout attacks are the fuckin worst

At base hp they're among the few things in the game that actually can instakill you without counter damage. Not even bosses can do that unless it's multihit stuff.
It's pretty strange.

I wonder why they couldn't just have a short cutscene up there in Seath's tower where, I dunno, you'd get ambushed and captured by Seath and a bunch of Channellers who throw you into the prison cell afterwards, taking all your equipment and putting it into a chest somewhere next to it, making you fight with some shit-tier equipment you'd find on a corpse in the cell for a short while.

>thinks people on Sup Forums abhor redditors because we are in any way superior to them

Have you ever heard of envy?

>fail the jump to get to undead asylum multiple times
>finally make it
>see the torch hollows when i land, don't shield because i've done this so much they won't be a problem what could possibly go wrong

>get to try at the jump to asylum again
countless times

I liked this enemy design the most out of all the games. I figure they'd be a pretty cool mount.

These things because I didn't even know they existed

Dark Souls 3 dogs

>mfw one these things spawned halfway across the last walkway up to the Anal Rodeo archers

Got shot and killed by one before i even saw it.
They hit like a truck.

>>>/leddit/

>not those ghrus that halve your health with that stupid bullshit jump or that fucking grab with wonky hitboxes
>or those giant ghrus that are just a chore to fight

chaika and souls are like peanut butter and chocolate

I've encountered one literally only once
and I have a shitton of playtime

>single encounters
anchor shark > giant chain axe serpent > drakekeeper > skeledog
>multi encounters
twin sharks = dual pontiff beasts > triple giant depraved = giant skeleton party in totg
>multi encounters on max ng cycle
area before blue smelter as pure melee >>>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else

trying to fight everything fairly in iron passage was pure hell on ng+7, i dont think theres a harder thing in souls.

gotcha covered

I was killed by one on my first playthrough, i had no idea how rare they are.

>on my like 5 replay of dark souls
>i could do everything at light speed because i had beaten it so many times now an knew where everything was
>wanted the paladin set from Leroy so i go to the catacombs
>at some point somehow i manege to get over to the other side of that brige you can flip down there
>i don't even remember how i just wanted to get my shit and get out
>beat Leroy
>i might as well beat Nito while im here
>i forgot i hadn't been to Anorlondo and therefore havn't gotten the Lord vessel to fast travle
>have to go all the way back
>mfw the get to the brige you have to cross
>start to panic because there is no switch on the other side
>think im gonna my level 250 PvE that i have sunken 500 hours into
>remember that there is i hidden wall in the catacombs that opens to the sliver moon ring and a trap where a necromancer is that makes you fall through the floor
>only have 5 estus and have to run all the way there on new game+++ past all thw wheel skellies and the bone dogs and big skellis that one shot me
>speend 3 whole days trying to get out
>i finally do get out and just fucking stop playing after that

TL:DR always pull the lever kids

...

What's this about, and is it worth a watch?

This. I just run past the torch hollows now, I don't fucking risk those bastards. Does DaS3 have a 'lowly enemy that slaps your shit regardless of level'? I think the treebranch hollows in Crucifixion Woods are close.

>draggie sword babbies
lol

>Using any BK weapon

no, the gifs are the only good part, its pretty generic moe blob girl and clueless chosen one harem lord dude bullshit.

The girl in the gifs doesnt even die, and the formula is so cliche and worn out she gets "killed" like 4 times for shock value.

DOGS
(plural is important)
(does not apply if using fire)

>have to choose between light and shield
see
(even using shield wtf two hand u casul)

Giant skeleton in DS1
Infinite stamina faggots in Dragonshrine in DS2
Izalith Dungeon, you know who I am talking about
Either the giant sharks in Rakuyo Cave or mace wielding rolling shreks in BB

Ithryll*, not Izalith

I thought that I was the only one whose favorite areas were Tomb and Catacombs

these fuckers made the trip to tomb 100x worse (before finding the bonfire)

Is this Dark Souls the aniime?

>Skelton wheel
>Hard
laughinghavel.jpg

An autstic girl tries to find the bodyparts of her dad, an evil emperor, who got murdered and cut into piece by a bunch of heroes that now use his parts as magic fuel.
She's supported by a mercenary that helps her because he wants war back, peace is fucking boring if you're bred and raised to kill and his big-tittied sister with a hammer. The blonde loli joins later and is kind of the punching bag.
So they go on wacky adventures. The stories around the heroes are all pretty interesting and the world-building and lore is actually nice but it goes full retard towards the end and rushes everything. Lots of cute girls, if that's your thing.
I enjoyed it, but it sure is lackluster in a lot of ways.

>lullaby intensifies

last time i played through the game i killed the entire room of them in painted world. i never managed to even walk through there before. what the fuck.

>Jumps out of attack string regardless of poise damage
>Skull fucks you

i bet you use spears and or curved swords.

HOW DO I FUCKING KILL THEM? THEY BUTT FUCK ME EVERYTIME I TRY

>implying the social rejects of Sup Forums aren't sub human

I don't even go to reddit, but all I do when I come here is remind you nerds that you're all tragically pathetic and are worse than the majority of the redditards.

The catacombs is a great area

It just kinda sucks that it can be either the most grueling impossible bullshit ever (if you go in too early and have no divine damage), or a fucking cakewalk (if you don't enter until after Anor Londo)

Like, for it to be one of the best most fun experiences in the game you need to enter it at just the right time (after ringing the two bells seems best, levelwise. Game also tries to incentivize you because iirc that's when Petrus just came back without Rhea and crew) and with a divine weapon that also does decent damage to skellies (rushing the necromancers is a tactic that only works once you already know the entire area layout).

But if you do, great fun. Just really intelligent layout with lots of fun hidden stuff and shortcuts and good enemy placement and everything.

the grab attack is parryable

ashen hunter set

sedatives

I never understood the point of these things. They require such specific and asinine conditions to spawn that has no benefit to the player actually doing all the required steps. Not to mention, for how rare they are they don't provide much benefit.

fuck any evasive tactics and just start swinging at it until its dead, visceral the grab if it tries to.

First time I didn't know about the divine weapons, but I still liked the area. I just kicked all skeletons down the cliff. I also have fond memories from the place for killing my first hacker in the same way there

Crystal Cave

I just used cast light and maged my way through.

How's it going leddit!!!
Please leave :^)

800 hours played and ive never seen one

new londo is the worst area

one of only two(?) places where you can farm chunks and you either have to run through the fucking dragons or the damn ghosts on every single run

Every enemy that looks like a whimp and has the poise of fucking Havel with infinite stamina on top of it.

farm the two royal sentinels outside the O&S boss room

they also reward a fair bit of XP

>Low requiriments
>Extremely high damage
>Can stunlock many bosses
>Great swinging speed for a UGS
>Can be buffed
>Easy to get early
>Great moveset
Literally the best weapon

>mfw im convincing myself for a year that bloodborne is not that good and other souls games are better but everyone constantly praise it and only say good things about it
FUKCING SONY HAD TO PAY THEM FOR THAY EXCLUSIVE BULLSHIT FROM WHY DIDNT YOU RELEASE IT ON PC REEEEWEHDLSGA U SOGVWKABSKDV

So I booted up DeS to play it again today, on NG+ and is it just me or does poise not exists. You can't stagger shit, I hit them with my meat cleaver and they just hit through me which is retarded.
