Why the hell would you like a static ass dungeon with barely any changes in floor designs and copy& pasted shadows in them?

Sounds cool on paper with a giant ass tower dungeon but boy there was no effort put in to it.

Honestly I was really into the AI party, even when they fucked up because it made battles feel dynamic. Situations would pop up and shit would go wrong and I really enjoyed that aspect

I think thematically it fits the game really well, and it provides a great sense of progression. Having the music build as you climb higher is a great effect, and when you do reach the top it feels amazing.

The game starts so fucking slow.

First time I got a new hard drive, second time new anti virus deleted the emu, third time I just forgot where I saved them. When I did find them, I forgot what the plot was and why I was on a train.

I enjoyed rushing through the floors being chased by shadows. It was simplistic but I was entertained, therefore I liked it. It had vibes that I was into. I think overcoming the ordeal at the top is a genuine reaction too, and it's pretty cool for a game to draw that out of you, especially since that's how the party felt at the top too.

You can oversimplify anything and use it as amunition against a game. P3 is liked because of the characters and their arcs like Junpei and Shinji, as well as the greater message and themes. The best S Link in the game is totally unrelated to school. And yeah, the ending is pretty fantastic. Nyx is still one of my favorite final bosses

Literally any game with a dungeon and field view enemies does this. Don't know how something that small makes you like an entire boring 200+ floor dungeon.

The basic mechanics are great, but the combat as a whole ends up being brought down by how poorly balanced the game is. It's hard to avoid accidentally becoming invincible an hour or two into the game.

I'm going to let Junpei slide, but anybody impressed or entertained by Shinji's arc must seriously, genuinely and unironically get checked.

It's the empties, shallowest, most underdeveloped and predictable arc in the history of narrative itself. I've been more impressed by most stuff in the NES Final Fantasy games than Shinji's story.
