Posting comfiest song
Aside from the endgame of XIII, I quite enjoyed the entire trilogy.
Me too and i'll go even further and say XIII-2 is my favourite.
They are great games.
The music is pretty good. The menus are pretty stylish, too.
I hated 13, but I really enjoyed LR. 13-2 looks like more of the same shit as 13, so I didn't play it and never will.
It's better than X.
>Sup Forums starting to say XIII was good now that XV is coming out
Like fucking clockwork
what you guys think should i try to finish FFX, X2, and FFXIII before getting into XV? Is killing Jecht even worth it? I kinda like Lightning she a cute waifu ;_;
Music was great (especially Blinded By Light)
Design was good as well, they weren't too over developed.
I like Lightning!
I like Lightning punching Snow, Dust to Dust and Wladislaus.
(The sequels on the other hand were great.)
i bought them all when they came out and liked all of them but LR
XIII is unironically my favorite FF. The turn based battles feel fluent and work really well. I like the open world a lot once you get past the 20 or so hours of intro.
>Remember when people made games which laster longer than 5 hours
>I like the music
That.
Also Lightning has a really nice face and hair design. Too bad about her body....
Yeah, aside from the combat, environments, setting, plot, pacing, and character customization/growth, 13 has the edge over 10.
>Disliking the only good game in the trilogy
I like how they got rid of between fight health and magic maintenance
I like that it eventually released.
13 is one of the least open worlds
Voice acting and graphics are pretty sweet.
That's because she's cute.
LR has a pretty great combat system.
I've never played a single FF game but I loved Chrono Trigger. What do?
I like the armpits.
Most people started liking it after the PC port.
XIII-2 > LR > XIII
Tabechau nyan.
She is! She's so cute!
I like the armpits too.
bullshit, they're still disliked. Just because there isn't an autistic hate-squad jumping into this thread instantly doesn't make it suddenly widely popular.
She doesn't have an ass. Her legs are like toothpicks. I'm not even a thiccfag but a girl shouldn't have an ass like Hank Hill
You had one job
>bullshit, they're still disliked.
Not as much as back when they came out. People definitely aren't warming up to them just because of XV though.
If you weren't an underage redditor, you'd know that this has happened to every single FF since at least VIII. In 10 years XIII will be absolutely adored. Which it should, because the trilogy gave us some of the best games of last generation.
That scene where the party raided Cocoon with their eidolons, and that scene where Hope just decides to fight a boss solo after Snow gets knocked out. Good scenes
I liked the visuals. Too bad I was in a hallway the entire time.
Character design, graphics, Fang is great, that Sahz had the love for his child as motivation.
Everything else was pretty ass, couple songs were alright but the OST as a whole is pretty weak.
While extremely slow early on, the combat was fantastic once you started fighting more powerful bosses and had access to your entire party.
The first Barthandelus fight in particular was the first time I felt everything come together. It's honestly one of my favorite boss fights of all time. Unfortunately it's rather late in the game (Chapter 9 I think) so not a lot of people have actually fought him.
>In 10 years XIII will be absolutely adored.
No.
That's true but at release there was a massive hype which made the letdown feel much more like a punch in the gut. I've replayed it years later and made peace with the game. It's still bad but not the worst thing that ever happened to this world.
Still, not absolutely hated by everyone doesn't equal generally well liked.

I'd say XIII-2 and LR are pretty good, but as for XIII… stretching it. Its linearity wasn't even the main issue, it's just that the side content is very poorly done and there aren't any town hub areas. Just feels empty. And the battle system, although good, was unpolished as fuck until XIII-2.
That's the fella
Nice to see some good taste this evening
This "open world" is such a presumptous lie. All they did was expand the corridor, into a wide field, there's still fucking nowhere else you can go and explore the only thing that changed is that now you can fight battles with slight meaning behind them. Still the same shit you've been doing all game long.
Me too. It was pretty fun.
Spoken like a pleb who didn't do the Mark Missions
I'll bet you didn't even Five-star them all you fucking casual
Oerba was legitimately the first and only area where I was completely captivated by the atmosphere.
Loved the enemy designs, especially human enemies, love that good ol Tech + Magic style, thought i like Lost Odyssey since it had more of that style
My first email was named after an enemy in XIII
>Still, not absolutely hated by everyone doesn't equal generally well liked.
I didn't mean that everybody suddenly started liking it one day, I meant most people who only played the PC port liked it more than others did back when it was new.
It was Burmecia all over again. I just paused and listened to that shit for ages.
The only decent parts of XIII was the music and the visuals. Everything else was terrible
Still listen to the soundtrack every now and then so OP is alright
Except for the Strayans. Fucks the Strayans.
Not him but who gives a shit? You're still just fighting enemies like you've been doing for the entire game, they're just harder now.
You're right. XIII was fine.
Forgotten Capital, Burmecia, Zanarkand all had this solemn and really pretty feeling. Soundtrack magic.
>just finished magic Tower-o-monsters
>go over the ridge
>mfw it's a fucking "normal" town
It gave my female Au Ra in FF14 a decent hairstyle to use. I don't like any of the other hairstyles I can choose from. Lightning has some nice hair.
Fuck me, you got some boss-nigga tier taste son
I wish I could post something valuable but all I've got are some oft-posted Lightning artworks
keep your shit taste out of my thread, lad
The music felt so other-worldly, shame it's one of those games that you can't really replay.
>he didn't use strategy to configure his paradigms and equipment for optimal efficiency according to the combat requirements of each mission
I will always post this in FFXIII threads, I did this for Playstation 3 versions as well and will do it for the eventual remasters on Xbone and PS4.
All the /ss/ that came out of it.

best two FFXIII2 songs
The graphics. Sazh. Snow, to a lesser degree. I liked the encyclopedia or whatever it was called, though I dislike how it was near primarily the source for backstory in the game. The music was okay.
That's about it.
They're retards for pushing it back into Call of Duty territory.
inb4
>BUT COD IS A FPS!
That's not the point. Westerners you buy into Call of Duty on the sheer fact that their friends are buying it whether or not it's a good game. Which means they will most likely skip Final Fantasy's release week and wait until XMas or 2017. People usually do not go into Gamestop or Amazon ready to shell out 120 USD or more.
Square dun fucked up.
Best song. Good job frog poster
Same. I even kinda loved XIII-1
Then 2, man. It does time travelling just right
>ywn find yourself waiting at a quaint little train station in the south of France
>ywn feel the warmth of the summer sun beating down on your skin
>ywn feel your heartbeat increase as you think about what's going to occur
>ywn rise when you see the train beginning to pull into the station
>ywn swallow the lump in your throat when you see her
>ywn experience the unadulterated joy of her coming over and putting her hand on her hip before smiling and simply saying "Hey, you"
KILL ME
JUST FUCKING KILL ME NOW AND GET IT OVER WITH
Christian image board son. Might wanna delete that.
You're also absolutely right
>hurr ur just bad
Enemies requiring strategy to fight effectively doesn't change the fact that there's almost nothing to do but fight enemies for the whole game.
They blew their load early with Sazh.
Right away before the fight with Anima when he said the name Dajh, you immediately knew this person was Sazh's primary source of motivation.
Then in the Vile Peaks he solemnly said the words "Every father cares."
Anyone with a brain knew the jig was up and his entire monologue in Sunleth became redundant.
>almost nothing to do but fight enemies for the whole game
how is this any different from ANY other game you massive faggot
just gas yourself, faggot
Don't think the target demographic aligns at all. FFXV also generated so much hype with their constant events and shit that they should be able to compete with CoD which has a playerbase that keeps getting more sceptical.
FFXV also has the much better deal with all the extra goodies like the movie.
best XIII series song coming through
They were retards cause they didn't know what to do. FFXIII, as a game, didn't fundamentally know what it was gonna be until they put together the FFXIII demo which released EIGHT MONTHS before the full game launched in Japan. So, for over 2 years after announcing FFXIII, Toriyama and Kitase didn't know what the fuck XIII was going to be.
How about this?

These two as well. I love vocals for in game music.
>not enjoying fighting enemies and continuing on to see what the next enemies will be
>in a JRPG
ooh edgy
Not him but are you mentally challenged or what? Ever played any FF prior XIII? Chocobo treasure hunts, secrets fucking everywhere, fun minigames, additional secret areas etc. etc.
Bit too furry for my taste
Cute though
>how is this any different from ANY other game you massive faggot
Other RPGs have things like towns, NPCs, sidequests that aren't just extra bossifghts, optional dungeons, minigames and shit like that. They also don't railroad you for tens of hours before you can use a full party let alone the whole playable cast.
FF and VII IX had all of that
your shitty list all involve more fighting. try again.
That's pretty cute, but Hope wouldn't exactly be a kitten to Lightning being a cat.
He lost his brain, someone help him.
>not posting the best son in XIII-2
C'mon lads, step it up

Fighting enemies over and over and over without anything else to do in between gets pretty old after a while. Even something like the DMC games, which focus almost entirely on gameplay have special missions and puzzles every now and then.
Learn to read.
>saying hurr in 2016
>that cancer image
>citing the core gameplay loop as an issue with the game without realizing you're describing the entire genera
Nothing. I used to be a huge FF fan, absolutely loved the series. FF10 was okay. I didn't care for the online game or the crystal chronicles and FF12 was disappointing (but at least didn't have Nomura ladyboy designs.... But it did have some fem looking male or two). FF13 was proof that the series and Sqenix were dead.
Should have known anyways that you can't lose nearly all of your talent and programmers and shit to Namco and Nintendo and others but somehow be trusted to continue an existing IP. This is why Halo is shit without Bungie, why Bethesda's Fallout games are not Fallout games, etc. It can rarely be done.
FF15 is just more of the same. Faggoty Nomura males and stupid clothes along with a bizzare nip aesthetic that only appeals to a niche. The same niche who still believes it's 1999 and FF is the biggest franchise in video games....
sorry but i don't remember anything you guys listed in FFIV that doesn't include more fights
Anyone play new Theatrerhythm?
>mfw it has songs from all three XIII games
stop fucking arguing and share some happy thoughts faggots.
nice music so far.
I liked the Crimson Blitz remix in LR
It was a shame you could only get it in Luxerion though.
And how the only sample of Blinded by Light was in one fight in Yusnaan.
If they'd had a combination of the two as a consistent theme throughout areas, for example, between 6am and 1pm then that would've been freaking sweet.
The core gameplay loop isn't the issue, it's that there's almost nothing to do outside of that for most of the game. That's a bit of a problem in a ~50 hour long game that's so linear.
Well, Lightning was kind of hot in the first game. So were the other girls.
The complete lore was very well explained
