Regardless of how the final product ends being, how expensive it is...

Regardless of how the final product ends being, how expensive it is, the games available at launch or our personal feelings towards it, all of us have the duty to buy the Nintendo NX.
Before you come here with torches and pitchforks, listen to me for a second:
Even when they made some mistakes in the past few years, Nintendo is still the last company actually caring about videogames. If the company runs into financial trouble, no one will be left to face soulless, greedy companies like Sony, Microsoft, EA or Valve and gaming will die as we know it.
Add to that how all of us had a childhood thanks to Nintendo. Nintendo was there for us, now it's our turn to be there for the company.

I'll buy it senpai.

I can't believe how stupid somone can be.

My Little Toddler: Nintendo is Magic

The post.

i want to user but nintendo betrayed us before with the wii u

No, after the bullshit they pulled with the Wii U, they are going to have to release something impressive for me to consider buying the NX
kys my man

I agree, we should send them a card in advance for the awesomeness of the past and the promise of what's to come.
Arigato, iwata san.

Arigato miyamoto san.

How did they screw up so badly? The Wii seemed like just a gimmick at first, but it ended up being awesome. But the Wii U is just indefensible.

>Nintendo is still the last company actually caring about videogames. If the company runs into financial trouble, no one will be left to face soulless, greedy companies like Sony, Microsoft, EA or Valve

Nintendo is Yakuza you fucking dipshit.

>company makes product nobody asked for
>consumers have a responsibility to buy unwanted product
yeah i don't think it works that way tim

Shut up Cody

bait.jpg

What exactly did they do, besides fail to advertise or market the thing properly? You still have a decent library with an hd output.

I'm going to get one at launch for the hell of it unless they REALLY drop the ball with release titles.

Nice bait, fag.

>nintendo
>caring about video games over the precious shekel
wew lad
gonna give you a sage (You)

>system has games I don't want
>I have to buy it anyway otherwise "I'm destroying the industry"

Oy. it's the PS4 all over again. What is your next tagline, by any chance? "Greatness awaits"?

-N64 had a good but tiny and shallow library and retarded controller
-GC had an ok but tiny and shallow library and retarded controller
-Wii had a shovelware library and shitty, retarded, gimmick control scheme
-Wii U has a tiny, shitty library and McDonald's Happy Meal toy tablet
-Most of their console franchises are either dead or shit now anyway

I have given Nintendo more chances than a reasonable person should give a company. No NX for me.

Though I will keep buying their handhelds.

>inb4 buttflustered N64/GC babby nostalgia

Nintendo is home of casual, party and sports "games". When was the last time they tried to come up with a new ip? How do they care about vidya more than sony?

>Oy. it's the PS4 all over again.
But the PS4 has the best lineup of all the consoles this generation.

This is going to be another one of these butthurt condensing threads, no?

Anyway, Nintendo is run by suits that are completely incapable of even imagining what makes a game great, or why a good concept doesn't necessarily improve by making it more inclusive.
So, while not expecting much, I'll probably buy it at some point.

>-Wii had a shovelware library and shitty, retarded, gimmick control scheme
It had enough great games that used the controllers well to be worth it.

>turning Metroid into a multiplayer shooter, after making it a cinematic experience

And you want me to forgive them? Back to the Nintendo forums with you.

It's more like it hit an pointless niche for a bad price. The gamepad is just worse than a normal pad 95% of time and the machine is fucking expensive considering the components inside. Still not regretting buying it because of those few good games, but hardwarewise Wii U is just fucking pointless.

>inb4 who cares about hardware instead of games
Obviously games are always the decisive factor, but shit hardware with bad gimmicks is still shit even if it gets good games.

>but tiny and shallow library
What amount is not shallow to you exactly?
GC had more than enough games to justify having it.

>all of us have the duty to buy the Nintendo NX
Yeah, how about no.

Splatoon. Although it wasn't half as good as everybody says, I have to admit that at least it was quite unique experience.

>What exactly did they do
Made a console that was the Gamecube 2: Electric Boogaloo instead of a Wii 2.

Nintendo cares the least of those companies. They recycle assets (That whole star rush art soup can thing), they recycle game ideas (super mario 3d world was just a 2d mario in 3d, and it was the same as 3d land with new levels and a few new shitty gimmicks.), and give the finger to America with NoA's bullshit meme censorship translations.
Miyamoto fire outta every NoA and guys hire place for what do game to make

nah bro it had a shit library compared to the others

Wii was already GC2. Wii U was GC3.

>Though I will keep buying their handhelds.
So you'll be buying the NX.

The Wii was actually a good console, unlike the Gamecube. The Wii U was a shitty console just like the Gamecube and was shitty for the exact same reasons. So the Wii U is the Gamecube 2.

>That stroke at the end

>Miyamoto fire outta every NoA and guys hire place for what do game to make

There have been zero must buy games for any home console made by Nintendo since the Gamecube.

Fuck them. 90% of my Wii usage is quite honestly not for Wii games. The only reason I got a Wii U was because of Bayonetta 2, and Smash was a disappointment...twice now. Now you have virtually no games and what few you do have, don't really qualify for a must buy. Bonus round: I only bought a 3DS for MML3.

Fuckers all around. Give me something that can one up Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX, Pikmin 2. Or just fucking go third party with a handheld branch.

>shilling
Its okay when Ninmemedo does it.

>GC, bad
>Wii, good

The bad news is, you're a retard with shit taste.

The good news is, the NX will be perfect for you, because you're exactly who Nintendo wants to market to.

They wanted the autistic audience

I think he was writing us a rap, lads.

>Wii, bad
>GC, good
The bad news is, you're a retard with shit taste.

The good news is, the Wii U was the perfect system for you, because all it has are mediocre exclusives that didn't move hardware just like the Gamecube.

The Wii was the first good Nintendo home console since the SNES.

Look I know it's just a fucking mock up and it shouldn't even bother me, but what the fuck is the point of a Dpad and ABXY in the front of your console. Who did this and why doesn't anyone else think this looks stupid as fuck.

>amiibos
>rehashes
>shitier hardware
>not including tax on digital prices
>20 different versions of the same handheld
>No account adding/chatting messages
>Disregard for strong fan request of certain games
>sm4sh
>dropped their last console
>slowly dropping their handheld

Nintendo's gonna revolutionize the industry with disc-based powerups that you pop in and out to load like MMBN.

yeah i don't know either

anybody who can't appreciate GX is just a piece of shit and should kill themselves

in fact you can write your life policy to nintendo. that way you are useful to your shitlords

>sm4sh
What in the world is wrong with Smash 4?

>anybody who can't appreciate GX is just a piece of shit and should kill themselves
Did F-Zero GX move Gamecube hardware? No. Did it help other Gamecube games move hardware? No. It's a failure of a first-party title and it killed the F-Zero franchise by being too hardcore. First-party software needs to move the hardware, if it doesn't, it's worthless.

The only Gamecube games that moved hardware were Melee and Metroid Prime, and even then the Gamecube still did worse than the fucking Xbox.

10$ characters.

nobody wants a system to do well because it fucking moves consoles you moron, they want it to do well because it has good games.

you're not making money off nintendo so stop trying to pretend you dont shit out your mouth

I agree, OP. I've personally purchased 25 Wii U systems, myself. That accounts for about half of all Wii U systems sold!

Also, they're not just cosmetic, so they vastly affect online. It basically turned Smash into a pay2win game.

>b-but muh tiers

I don't want to buy a game on the HOPE that Nintendo won't screw up online, or balancing their characters.

>inb4 who cares about hardware instead of games
To add to your point, game publishers and developers looking to easily port games over care very much about hardware.
The closer the hardware is to competitors, the easier and less expensive it is to port, which means more potential profit.

I can see what they were going for, with tablets being so big at the time.

To be fair, they did introduce Off-TV Play for the console, which I still think is a bigger deal than most people realise.

But at the end of the day, it's about the games, and the WiiU just didn't get them. Asking the devs to deal with the second screen in the age of omni-platform titles was just too much.

All that said, it's still the only 8th gen I actually own, and I'm happy with my purchase. I just wish that was enough in today's industry.

>There have been zero must buy games for any home console made by Nintendo since the Gamecube.
fuck you

>If the company runs into financial trouble, no one will be left to face soulless, greedy companies like Sony, Microsoft, EA or Valve

I'm not saying these companies aren'r greedy or shit like that but are you fucking stupid?
Nintendo literally put ancient hardware at high cost, it took like 4 or more years to drop some games price, low budget games at 40-60$, Nintendo rewards is a fuckibg joke (even Sony Rewards is a "better" service) ans the whole amiibo drama was obviously a marketning decision to increase the price

>they did introduce Off-TV Play for the console
For casuals and Nintendofags, sure, but the concept is basically like PS3-PSP Remote play in a whole console, which was released in 2008

I like the WiiU and miss playing a lot of the games I had when my roommate who owned it moved out.

People will always spout that it has 'no gaem' because of a generation old meme birthed by the fact that Microsoft released their broken console a year early.

epic, upvoted!

It will flop harder than the WiiU.
The shitposting will be off the charts.
I can't wait.

The only thing that adds a "soul" to nintendo is the fact they're pure capitalists with the only goal of making money in mind, instead of having an retarded agenda of "making games more mature" or something like that.

But some of their worst evils also spawn from the same thing.

>There have been zero must buy games for any home console made by Nintendo since the Gamecube.

...

That's one of the possibilities.
The other is that nintendo does something that accidentally makes it sell a fuckton, just like with the Wii, and just like with the Wii, EVERYONE misunderstands the system and we get 5+ years of the worst side of the system being copied like wildfire while the good thing about it dies silently.
The game industry in general is masterful at copying everything wrong about the games.

If Sony released a game system with a bundled in iPad for a controller you Sonyggers would flock to it and defend it immediately. At least Nintendo is doing something innovative, new and creative for gaming unlike Sony with DURRR IT HAS DA BETTER GRAPHICS THAN PS3

I bet you were grinning when you thought how funny it was to call people autistic on the Internet. What a wacky concept! YOU SURE ARE ORIGINAL

Spoken like a real dick sucker.

I have a personal rule where a console has to have at least 10 good games announced/out before I buy it.
It's why I got the Wii U, it's why I'm getting PSVR, and I hope it's the case for the NX.

Nintendo is recycling an technology that no one wants, rather than doing something actually innovative.
It probably will work but its not like they did the R&D etc..

>Nintendo is still the last company actually caring about videogames.
I don't understand how anyone can still say this in a Post-Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival world.

Even as someone who owns every single Nintendo console I'm not obligated to buy shit, faggot.

>You still have a decent library
it has 7 games worth playing
Bayonetta 2
The Wonderful 101
Xenoblade Chronicles X
DKTF
Mario Kart 8
Pikmin 3
Splatoon
That's it. Wii U doesn't even have its own Zelda game besides a shitty musou game and doesn't have a proper 3D mario either

>you Sonyggers
Yeah, it's not like I just typed that I own Wii U and I don't regret it. Even if I like Nintendo's games, it doesn't mean that I have to like their hardware.

how the fuck is it acceptable for the Wii U to not have a fucking ethernet port in 2012?

Super Mario 3D World?

Why the fuck the would it have a control pad on the console i hate this picture.

That game sucks, user. Its closer to the NSMB series than it is to 64, Sunshine or Galaxy thanks to the focus on the run button and lack of acrobatics and advanced jumping techniques

Because 95% of owners just want wifi. Stop being cheap and buy a cheap $10 usb to ethernet adapter on amazon and call it a day like I did.

It's not about being cheap, it's about good connection.
I'm not that guy but I have to download patches and demos 10 times to get them to install, every fucking time there's a problem with the connection and I'm sure my connection is fine since all my other wi-fi shit in the house downloads at full speed with no problems.

>Nintendo is Yakuza you fucking dipshit.
>tfw the yakuza care more about vidya than Sony

or they could just include it in their consoles like everyone else does instead of jewing us to no end.
>$10
The official Wii LAN adapter (i.e. the only one that nintendo guarantees to work with Wii U, and the only one that customer service will even help you with) is $24 on their official site.

>A duty to--
No
If nintendo want to survive, you can never force them to survive.
If you buy it regardless of quality, then they never learn, and never get better.

I have everything nintendies but seriously kill yourself if this is the world you think you live it.
Nintendo dying isn't good for anyone, but if they produce garbage, its only everyones "duty" to let them understand people think its garbage.

Dont be a fanboy of anything.
Or you're just a fucking tool and nothing else.

if bait, then well done, you tricked me into thinking retarded people exist. Good job. Im proud.

>or they could just include it in their consoles like everyone else does instead of jewing us to no end.
But that would use up precious hardware space, user.
>(i.e. the only one that nintendo guarantees to work with Wii U, and the only one that customer service will even help you with)
How hard is it to figure out a usb to ethernet adapter? Buy a third party one that has reviews saying it will work with Wii U and you're set.

No.

I no longer have a guarantee that the games will be good, or that there will be enough.

how can you call an announced game "good"? that is literally full retard

I tried using the one I use for my surface pro and the Wii U wouldn't even acknowledge that the damn thing was plugged in. Its bullshit to have to spend another $15-20 just to have a basic ass feature that should be standard in 2012

Wifi IS the standard and the future, user.
Only companies clinging to the past keep including the ethernet port.

>Only companies clinging to the past
So literally everyone but nintendo?
How the hell can anyone prefer wifi over ethernet for online gaming?

Wi-fi is wireless.
No stupid cables taking space

>this what nintendrones actually believe
I'm done. I've seen it all now.

Yeah, and no stupid good performances too

>ethernet: consistent sub 20 ping matches on Steam
>wi-fi: dodgy sub 100-150 ping matches on the same machine

>Duty to buy a product
You guys are literally indoctrinated and need to seek help

Hey, here's an idea: what if my wifi goes down, or suffers from interference, or I have enough online electronic products in the house? Considering that you average home has 5+ wireless products as is, an ethernet always guarantees a good online connection. At least we should have the option.

>Nintendo makes shit hardware
>Nintendo starts making shit software
>Nintendo actively does the opposite of what fans ask for
>"Nintendo still cares about games guys, buy their shit hardware so they can keep giving us shitty products that we didn't ask for"

I go where the games are. If Nintendo doesn't have them, they aren't getting my money.

>my wifi goes down
That only happens if your router goes down; you aren't going to have internet even if you have 7 ft long wires going through your house like some crack house.
>Suffers from interference
You're confusing wifi with "I become unstable if someone uses a vacuum cleaner near me" copper physical cables.
>I have enough online electronic products in the house
A router has five network cable ports at most. Meanwhile you can connect to the wifi as many electronic devices as you want.

They don't care about videogames. They care about minimal effort while maximizing profit. Instead of just trying to make good games. Fuck them, fuck the NX, and fuck you.

That is some high level self delusion. Holy shit.

>Giving nintendo money after
>WII
>WIIU

>That only happens if your router goes down;
Or electrical interference happens. It happens all the time. All it takes is one rainstorm, and even if you don't lose internet, yo're gonna have horrific ping. Never happens with ethernet.

Those buttons and d pad on the front of the mock console look stupid as fuck.

This whole design is retarded, most likely on purpose.

>getting excited for a console.

No thanks, the time of consolecucks is over. I'm happy with my PC now.

If Monster Hunter is on it, I will shamelessly buy it regardless of the quality. It could be announced to be developed by Ready At Dawn and Telltale in collaboration and I'd still buy it.
