The God of War 4 PC specs were just released, what do you think? Graphics card requirements are pretty standard, 8gb of RAM unless you want to play at 4k, then 16. 80gb install is a little crazy, I'm guessing all the cutscenes are uncompressed. The only weird thing is needing an i5 at LEAST. That's a little weird, I can't imagine a game like Gears of War is heavily dependent on CPU. I've noticed that a lot of games run like shit on i3s lately, it looks like an i3 may no longer be a good choice for AAA gaming on PCs.

>God of War

You had one job OP, Jesus Christ.
Ohhhhh what, we're not GOOD enough for you to spell check your post?
This is an insult and I never, EVER want to see you around here again.
OR.
ELSE.

Oh fuck hahaha, what a weird typo.

I've never played gears but for some reason I'm hyped that it's coming for PC. I'll probably end up getting it just because of the graphics

Here's the 4k PC demo. Unfortunately it's with a gamepad, hopefull the m+kb controls are good. Looks exactly the same as Gears 1 but might be fun anyway.

Chances "Ideal" means 4K?

The base requirements are fine and even the Recommended aren't too terrible--I'm just hoping 1440p with 60+ FPS is not 6 GB VRAM level.

>Win10

>Windows 10

So DOA?

The 1080 was used for the 4k demo, not sure how far a 980ti/1070/Fury X will go. I've got a 980 so I'm fine with maxing out 1080p/60.

Gears is probably a big enough title to actual get PC gamers to show up to the Windows 10 store. Might see a delayed Steam Win 7/8.1 port like Quantum Break did.

I have 980 SLI--hopefully they support it...if not I'll be right with you 1080p/60.

I could probably max this at 1080 but I'm getting it for Xbox One so I can play it with a friend.

>Windows 10

>I met the ideal spec
>80gb
>tier world internet

>GTX 1060 recommended
>not even ideal
My sides

Gears of War UE didn't officially support SLI but it was easy enough to force it in Nvidia Inspector.

If you buy the digital copy it's crossplay, so you can play coop on Xbone and by yourself on PC.

Ideal is likely for 1440p/60 or 4k/60.

But the fact a 900 series is not even the recommended anymore makes me worry, getting a console does seem like a good deal now since GPUs are lasting 1 year apparently

>falling for the recommended specs meme.
Dude all that shit is marketing.

It's DX12 only, that's why they're recommending the 480/1060.

"Ideal" is for 4k. Look it up.

It's mostly marketing spin. My i7 3770k is--specifically to gaming--indistinguishable from an i7 4790 or even a i7 6 series. Just as a 780 TI (with slight OC) is on par--and even potentially better--than a 970 stock.

>minimum GT750
what kind of magic is this?

No, you're wrong. You'd be suprised by just how much different Skylake pair with high speed DDR4 makes. Like in the 15+ FPS range.

>god of war

hahaha you fucking wish pcucks

What if I want to use an AMD GPU and an Intel CPU together?

Oh didn't know that.

Might try it out on pc then just to see how it looks and runs.

>8GB RAM
GB VRAM
>Ideal Spec is literally the highest end PC right now minus Win10

They're literally saying that it's a shitty console port. The "min specs" are already a whole lot better than an Xbone.

660/750ti is a pretty standard minimum spec for AAA games though, and ideal is for 4k.

>Halo Ce, 2 and 6 on PC
>Gears of War 1, 4 on PC
Aaaaahhhhhh, what about the stories? How am I supposed to know what's going on?

>win10
nah

GOW 4 is more like a reboot so the story doesn't matter that much

Go watch someone's playthrough?

>Just as a 780 TI (with slight OC) is on par--and even potentially better--than a 970 stock.
No it isn't, not even close. 960 beats 780Ti in Witcher and 780 won't not even run games that require DX12_0 FL, because it only supports DX11_1.
No one benches 7 series because it's irrelevant.
Also CPU progress is slow, but accumulates, if you're going 1080 SLI Skylake will be much more powerful than Sandy or Ivy

I just switched over from console so I'm super excited to see this. I'm glad I wont have to go back to my One. Anyway, the specs seem fine. If it's anything like the other ones (excluding Judgement), it's well worth the space.

Idk Gears UE didn't fucking work right on release. And I can't even find a damn person to play with online.

does anyone really care about either franchise?

You'll get bored of it real quick, trust me. It looks like the older ones, which is 90% hiding behind cover, peeking out to shoot a bit, then back to cover. The rest of the time you walk around and hear DUDEBRO MILITARY TALK! OSCAR MIKE! ROGER THAT!

>Halo
>Gears of War
>"what about the stories?"

Kek being this salty
Fuck you you cunt blower

>80 gb

jesus christ they just keep getting more and more bloated

FILE COMPRESSION SON HAVE YOU HEARD OF IT

>windows 10
>need a specific update of windows 10 to run
eat shit

>80 GBs

There's actually a good reason for requiring the Windows 10 update at least, as it updates the Windows 10 store as well. Granted it's Microsoft's fault UWP might as well be in open beta given the lack of features, but they've been patching the store so often that it's necessary to keep it up to date.

>80GB

>W10

It's like they WANT it to fail.
