3DS is thin on the ground for actual good games, it's more like the WiiU than the GBA or DS (which was also a very slow starter)

The PS4 has absolutely nothing of value to be worth a purchase, except some Japanese multiplats. Though most of them are gradually coming to the PC market so I'd hold on. You can always just get such games later when the PS4 has been slashed a couple more times in price. I sold my PS4 while the going was still good, haven't regretted it. Would have done the same for the WiiU but it has much lower demand so I had to stick with it. At least I can hack it and play some PSO or something

I've no desire to ever get a PS4 or anything else. I wanted a Wii U for awhile for Pokken and Smash but that desire faded.

Technically there are some older games where the PC port was garbage content-wise compared to the console version, like Spiderman 2 and Nightfire. But making different games for different platforms is a lot rarer now.

For what purpose? Maybe it has some ok games but the screen is the worst I've ever seen. It's impossible to see anything on that thing unless you play in pitch darkness, even the first revision of the PSP had a better screen. I have a 3DS but even though I modded it I haven't played it in ages because I can't see shit on the screen and it also scratched itself while closing it.

Replace VITA with PS4, and you'd be correct. All of the JRPGs I played on it this year exist on VITA. With NEO on the horizon, my buyers remorse just intensifies.
