I'm glad another user appreciates this. One of the most chicken skin-inducing things for me is when two different themes/contrapuntal lines come together to become more than the sum of their parts.
The Last Story's title music evolves as you get through the game.
Hell yeah I never see anyone talk about it. Great game with a great soundtrack. I got it when I was young just because I thought it had a cool looking cover.

But - same guy here - I have more nostalgia for Cross since it never got a remake and so it's been longer since I played/revisited it.
I also like it just as much if not better and don't really care that the Trigger characters were only cameos. Their appearance in Cross doesn't affect the integrity of Trigger at all.
