>Shit-tier BO3
>Shit-tier mech game
>Shit-tier taste OP

10/10 post, thanks for your contribution.

I'm pretty jazzed for it.

It's bullshit that the tech test isn't on PC because they're scared of dataminers, though.

That's kind of really shitty. I wanted to get my hands on this in someway before October.

>Space Hulk: Deathwing
>Scorn
>Dishonored 2

I really like the titanfall aesthetic, hopefully this next one will be worth getting prior to some heavy sale, when there's still a playerbase

Whats up with all the tumblr bitchs in the trailer?

I guess the devs care more about pushing for "social justice" then actually telling a good story

>I get triggered by women being in video games at all
You seem like a real sensitive flower.

I never played titanfall, I normally play BF games but I want a casual console shooter so I might buy titanfall 2 for console and skip BF1 until next year.
I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

Other games I am optimistic for is mafia 3 even know I know it will be a mediocre game, the 60's music an muscle cars have me sold.

yeah this

Why would they waste so much time with "look we got strong wyman"

Probably is going to have a Hilary look alike lead the Rebellion against a sexist, white man

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?

REEEEEEEEE

I believe it.

Did people like Titanfall 1? What is this game doing differently? Apparently, there's a whole lot of feedback the devs directly listened to.

The gameplay was really solid and people liked it, but because of a rough launch and lack of content, it didn't have staying power.
Devs have been pretty active in listening to community feedback, for better or worse

>Gameplay looks not quite as good as TF1
>other features seem better
Well considering it's being overlorded by EA, it could have gone worse
I just hope the full game isn't awful, some of the stuff seems worrying

>BF1
>Butterlord
>Blackwake
>Titanfall 2
I think that's it
There's others that I'm following but O
I don't really care too much about or there's not enough info

the only thing that concerns me so far is theat the camera now goes third person during takedowns and embarking and disembarking. It really messes with immersion and flow.

>Regular infantry rifleman who wants to be a Pilot.
>His Pilot buddy has been giving him lessons on the side in secret.
>Rifleman, Pilot Buddy and the rest of the squad dies.
>L337 Vanguard Titan has no one else to command it and complete the mission with.
>Links up with Rifleman
>Time to fuck shit up and complete the mission.

Not gonna lie, I like the setup.

I think Respawn really learned from their lessons from the first game the hard way.

That's why Titanfall 2 is going to be great.

Played the beta, it feels alright for a console fps. No pc participation is a stupid idea though

Should be good.

>you can slide across the ground in Titanfall 2
>you have a jetpack
>can't activate jetpack while sliding across the ground
missed opportunity.

>i am smarter than anyone else

But it's not a jetpack, it's a jump pack
It's at belt level and the thrusters are pointed down at an angle
All it would do is stop you

Advanced Warfare got that shit. It was satisfying, though nowhere near as cool as Vanquish. I'm very interested in next years Call of Duty, if Sledgehammer keeps the airdashes, double jumps and powerslides

>EA releasing it next to Battlefield 1 for who knows what reason
>expecting Titanflop 2 not to flop again

Dead community within a few months, calling it

I'm looking forward to it, but there are some things I'm worried about from what I've seen.
The trailers have shown third person animations for stuff like melee takedowns and getting into titans, which look cool, but would eventually get boring and take you out of the experience.
The new rodeo system seems like it won't be as good as the old one. Having to keep jumping on and off of titans to deal damage seems tedious and boring
The grappling hook looks super fun, but I am a little worried that it might just lower the skill ceiling for mobility without adding very much else to the game.
Also fucking everybody will pick the sword titan.

The gameplay was great it just lacked content, which they seem to be addressing with the sequel.

>Literally just another co-op zombie survival game, except with loose ties to Metal Gear
>The franchise whose hallmark is batshit insane story and somewhat likeable previously established characters

I'm primarily optimistic about it but I'm quite aware of the developer's mega deceptive tendencies in the past so I've decided to insert a transformer into my hype circuits until I'm more reassured.

>lower the skill ceiling for mobility
I saw some stream gameplay, and the grappling hook is mostly a tool for movement assisting. It's pretty terrible as a prinary form of movement, since the range isn't great, it doesn't give you too much extra momentum and its an 8 second recharge per charge.
You still have to actually be fast to use it well.

Everything else you're correct about though, I hope they fix that. The executions especially look REALLY slow.

>mega deceptive tendencies
When was Respawn mega deceptive?

They said Titanfall would have a campaign.

It did though, technically.
It just wasn't a singleplayer campaign.

Also that doesn't sound like mega deceptive tendencies, just a shitty halftruth

You got one, it was just online and trash

What lessons were those? I've not played the first game.

>Blackwake

Auditioned for a role in that game

Didn't get a role, but that's whatever

Just wanted to say that the chick who voices yandere-chan's gonna be in it

dishonored 2

No mappack DLC that splits the player base for one.
More titan frames.
More modes/content at launch.
Apparently some people also really clamored for a single player campaign for some fucking reason, but whatever, they addressed that too.

I remember a bunch of people saying the "multiplayer campaign" felt half-assed in execution. Apparently, it's not a replacement for a single-player campaign.

Are we talking about the same game?

The pirate one yes?

The TF1 campaign was the multiplayer maps, but with some story tacked on. The titan types were also locked behind it at the start. It wasn't really handled well, but people like the setting.
Nit to mention the TF1 skill ceiling was high, so new players would get stomped by vets even if they just wanted to see the story stuff.

Yeah, the pirate one.
When you say "role" do you just mean generic pirate voice lines? As far as I know there's no actual characters

Yeah, that's what i mean, there's good healthy amount of voice lines involving orders, loading grape shot, putting fire out, getting things fixed, taunts etc. so it's not just grunts and yells

Oh I know, I was just confused because when I think of a role I think specific characters, so I was wondering if there was some other game named blackwake

So this is an intense shooter with fast gameplay.
Now imagine you're playing it normally and someone is playing a radiodrama over it.
That was Titanfall 1s campaign.
And you didn't even have to win to progress. Just play each map once.
It was a pointless and I don't think to this day anyone will has ever known what the fuck happened in that story.

Ahh, i see, nah pretty much anything requiring voicework is what one could consider a "role"

it was a very shit mech game, so correct.

>She greets you upon your return.
>Gives out a clear and concise stream of tactical updates, alerts, and suggestions.
Is there a better waifu?

youtube.com/watch?v=YEyvxZ5llxQ&feature=youtu.be&t=282

Don't get me wrong; the last mission for the company was bad ass seeing the space battle and then being dropped in those pods to reach the surface.

But seeing them EVERY game got old.

No single player campaign to learn the basics and flesh out the Titanfall universe kinda sucked.

The game ran smooth as butter for me too.

The NPCs were there to make you think there was an actual civil war going on (and cut down on your Titan drop timer) but they were stupid and were no threat.

Yeah, now that I think about it, in any credits even "yelling pirate 1" is a role.
I guess it's just something you don't think about much.

AW was shit so they'll be adopting the Treyarch 3DM. Which is a good thing because it lends itself to gameplay and map design better

You fell for some ripe ass bait son.

>still not vanessa
whats the fucking point
ion a shit

Damn Titanfall has some nice sound design.
Looks pretty good overall, but I'm not really a fan of the 3rd person for getting in the titan though. One of the cool things about the first game was the nifty first person animations for getting in the mech. It was always cool to slide under the legs from behind while having the titan grab you and stuff you in the cockpit.

Also, do we know if it's as fast as Titanfall 1 with the pilot movement?

The Grunts were amazing for the game though.
They added a ton of atmosphere, made sure that players had less donwtime of doing nothing if there wasn't a big fight, and were just pretty neat for immersion and little moments.
Also their melee did 50% damage and they had some anti-titan weapons hat could chip away at your health if you weren't careful.
If you ever played the modes they added in later that didn't have them, the game felt REALLY empty.

Fuck yeah!

Lot's of context sensitive voice overs.

"Thank you coming inside me again, Pilot."

Hhhnnnggg!

Battlefield 1 looks like ass and I was so fucking hoping we'd get something closer to 2142, what a great fucking game. But nope, we have to back to WWII but call it a WWI game because reasons.

Infinite Warfare and Titanfall 2 both have potential, though I was wholly disappointed with the mech gameplay in the original one and mostly had it follow me around and be used as cannon fodder as I took out enemy mechs. Hope IW is closer to AW than BO3, that game is fucking awful and it's sad to see how far Treyarch as fallen since WaW.

From what I hear, it's basically the same speed. Maybe a little bit slower, but there's also new movement options to play with.
Don't trust any official or stream footage. They didn't even titan dash ONCE

>titanfall
>mechs

>They didn't even titan dash ONCE
Now that you mention it.
A lot of that footage was suspect anyway.
I don't even know what the standard melee attack looks like cause people never fucking used it on stream even when it was the best fucking option and they died for not using it. I hope it's still das boot, but they probably changed it to a knife or something less hilarious.

I honestly can't think of any games I'm really looking forward to.

Maybe state of decay 2? They said they're adding multiplayer so that might be fun.

Everything has just been disappointment after disappointment.

>excited about X:Rebirth
>game comes out
>It's shit
>Excited about elite dangerous
>game comes out
>It has an infinite universe full of no content
>excited about star citizen
>??????
>excited about no mans sky
>It's shit

It keeps happening

>The game ran smooth as butter for me too.
It tripped up my GFX card at the time. I had constant crashes until I eventually found that the solution was to minorly underclock my card.
No other game had problems like that. Just Titanfall. That was weird.

It's a fist on the ground and a boot in the air now.

I saw a video from one of the featured guys, and in it he said
>remember, these are all reviewers and youtubers
>so, pretty decent players
Had a good laugh about that one

Near the end of the vid in this user's post you can see the player beating the shit outta specters with their fists

Fine, they're special snowflake walking humanoid occasionally AI driven walking not-tanks.

Fucking happy now?

>Star Citizen
Don't worry, it'll be game of the year 20XX

>Had a good laugh about that one
I literally just watched that. That was fucking hilarious.

Such is the life of a jobber character

I think he's more insinuating it in no way feels like a mech game, it's more of a typical FPS feel with mech skin.

> Swords

for what purpose.

> The singleplayer mech voice

Disgusting.

Vanquish 2 when

>titan speed is around 40-50 km/h
>slower than even the heavy mechs in battletech
>Speed of a senior citizen

Why can't I hold all these lies?

Maybe if Sonic is a success, never fucking ever if it flops.

CQC

I'm sure some of the Titans have super thick armor and/or powerful shields.

Some type of lightsaber sword might be needed to penetrate it.

> CQC
> With actual mechs
> While using sharp swords, metal on metal

Bats would be better.

It's utterly pointless to even say that. There are plenty games where you pilot robots that control basically like big players and they didn't have to make retarded rants about how much of a snowflake their robots are.

Are they just simply sharp?

Or does it have some type of electricity or saw teeth on it?

No I just saw sharp swords.

Even electricity wouldn't work. Saw teeth would make it worse.

>fastest mechs in btech are around 5x faster than a titan and are usually able to fly

The sword clearly has some kind of electric/plasma deal going on
Also it's probably just a rule of cool thing going on

> Rule of cool

Which is a gimmick. Skipping this one lads.

Wait, Titans come in fixed loadouts now? And there's only 6 to choose from?
So now we have more titans on paper, but actually variety is way, way down?
Whose idea was this?

Shitters, complaints like "I cant tell how to gauge a fight because you can run whatever on anything"

>skipping a game because there's one sword in it
Wew

> Not allowed to skip a game for whatever reason I come up with

> Implored to pay for it, and to play it

Nigger nigger chicken dinner.

i still want to play it

>choosing to skip a game because of one minor element instead of factoring in the rest of the game
It just seems like a silly thing to do

This
Titan fall 1 was a disappointment why would titan fall 2 be any good. I would love if it was more like armored core but I don't think it's going to be.

I'm looking forward to
>Mount and blade 2
>Civ 6
>Battlefield 1

> Swords
>for what purpose.
take my beloved Stryder away. Hand me a mech with a Sword. No beautiful dash core anymore.
Just a fucking sword.

I have never, ever had a problem with that.
You can see their weapon, their amount of dashes and their core ability from outside. Only thing you don't know is their rockets and their defensive ability and those usually shouldn't catch you off-guard.

they aren't going to have bots to fluff up the player count in multiplayer again, right?

It's for balance
In the first one, there ended up being ideal loadouts, so you would only ever see X combos.
They want people to use a variety, and having two types of each frame with different weapons and more abilities is easier to balance and means they can make them more unique
It's still dissapointing but I understand why they did it

hope this finally comes to PC

The bots were good though.
Did you ever play the mode that had no bots and more pilots? It was terrible

That really sucks
I'm gonna miss the Titan triple nade launcher if it's not in, that was fun as fuck to use.

...

> It just seems like a silly thing to do

Who cares? I dislike shooters anyway.

Battletech feels really fucking slow though because maps are literally the size of a small state.

can't wait bros

>I dislike shooters anyway.
Then why are you even talking about titanfall, a first person shooter?
